Chapter 1 Divorce
"Let's divorce.
"Sign it. Other than being my wife, I will give you whatever you want."
Clarence put the divorce agreement on the table with a cold expression.
Britney sat on the sofa opposite Clarence and looked at the document on the table. Her heart sank.
Seeing that she did not move, Clarence stood up and looked down at the silent woman in front of him.
"Britney, don't try to play any tricks.
"Sign it, and I will ensure that you will get enough money for the rest of your life."
As she heard this, Britney's heart trembled fiercely. She suppressed the bitterness in her heart. She took the pen that she had prepared earlier. With a wave of her hand, she signed her name.
Seeing that she had signed the agreement, Clarence snorted coldly.
Britney handed the divorce agreement to Clarence, but when his fingertips touched the document, she took it back and tore it up.
"Britney!"
Clarence pursed his lips, his eyes burning with anger.
"Clarence.
"In these three years, have you ever loved me?"
Britney looked up at the man who had occupied her heart for three years.
"Never," Clarence sneered.
His voice was cold. Just this one sentence caused Britney to fall into the abyss of hell and lose the last glimmer of hope.
"Heh."
Britney's eyes flashed with sadness. She chuckled, "Let me guess. You are in such a hurry to divorce because Melissa Trussel is back."
Melissa was the daughter of the Trussel family and Clarence's beloved woman and savior.
In the past, when Clarence just became the president of the Randall Group, he was schemed against by his enemies, causing him to have a car accident and become half paralyzed.
Melissa, who had been engaged to Clarence, heard that Clarence had a car accident, so she rushed abroad and cut off contact with him. There had been no news from her since then.
Losing his love and the ability to take care of himself, Clarence was almost desperate. His mother did not want to see the once proud him fall into the abyss, so she found Britney and let Britney marry Clarence.
When Melissa was mentioned, Clarence's usual cold face changed.
"Shut up! You don't deserve to mention Melissa."
"If you had not set up the trap, Melissa wouldn't have left me. If not for you, Melissa and I would have been married."
The man's eyes were scarlet. He looked like an angry trapped beast.
"Do you really think that I was the one who plotted against Melissa and made her leave back then?" Britney sneered.
"Who else could it be?"
Britney sneered. Then, she turned around and entered the bedroom. When she came out again, she pulled out a suitcase and had a gift box in her hand.
She opened the box. Inside was a black watch.
Clarence recognized it at a glance. It was a precious limited-edition watch personally designed by Myrette, a famous designer. It was the only one in the world. He had wanted to buy it but failed. How could she have it?
Without waiting for Clarence to ask, Britney took out the watch and raised it high. Then, with a flip of her palm, the watch shattered, making a crisp sound.
"This watch was originally a gift for you. But now, you are no longer worthy of it."
After he heard that, Clarence's face darkened quickly, gloomy and terrifying.
Britney ignored him. She turned around and took out a piece of paper from the drawer in the living room. There were several big red words printed on it.
It was a new divorce agreement.
"Clarence, I do not want you anymore.
"From now on, we will never meet again."
