If you are tying to sell stuffs to me, then forget about it, because I am not interested! I'm hanging up!" Steffy answered hurridely. "Stef?” Jessy answered anxiously. "Jess?" There was a sudden silence on the other line as Jessy could only hear a heavy breathing. “Oh My! JESSY SCOTT!!!” Steffy shouted. “Damn! Steff can you not shout at me?” Jessy complained. “You dare call me now and scold me for shouting at you? Huh?!” “Okay! I’ll hang up!” Jessy threatened. “I’m just kidding BFF." Steffy's voice suddenly sounded sweet and calm. "I miss you! How have you been? Where are you?" “Good! You still do know how not to shout!” Jessy teased as she broke out laughing. Both girls then chatted for hours, Jessy told Steffy what happened to her and how she found out about Jacob’s betrayal. Steffy on the other hand told her how she found out because Renee was posting about the 2 of them all over the place. How some of their friends bashed Renee and Jacob for cheating on Jessy but how Renee played the victim. But Jessy did not answer Steffy about where she is and who she’s been with, she only told her that she is doing well. She doesn't plan to hide forever from Steffy, she is just waiting for the best time to tell her. For now it's just catching up, she has in mind. Suddenly a beep was heard on Jessy’s phone she took a look at it and saw Liam’s message. “I’ve been trying to call you for an hour already, and it seems you’re talking to someone”. Jessy then remembered that she forgot to inform Liam about Steffy, she was so nervous that she felt the need to call Liam ASAP. "Steff, I need to put down the call now. I need to call someone” Jessy said nervously. “Is that person even more important than me?” Steffy teased “You’re seeing someone?!” “I’ll explain next time! bye!” Jessy then hang up hurriedly. Steffy was frustrated as to why Jessy suddenly hang up on her without even giving her a proper explanation. “Only Jacob makes Jessy feel that way when we talk for hours, are they still seeing each other? No no no, I dont think so. My BFF is not like that." Steffy paused and sighed on her reassurance to herself. "But wait, is she really seeing someone?” Steffy thought. They were so busy catching up that she forgot to tell Jessy she will be visiting Country X this weekend, so she decided to send her a message. “Jes, I’ll be visiting Country X this weekend. I want to see you, call me if you have time so we can catch up more, okay? Hope to see you! And you have a lot of explaining to do." Steffy pressed send. After Jessy hang up Steffy, in less than a minute her phone rang again. It was Liam. “I’m sorry, I was talking to someone a while ago. I was supposed to call you back but your line was busy.” Jessy explained immediately with a c***k voice. “That long?” Jealousy emanate Liam’s tone. “May I know who is the lucky person you gave off your number and talk to for that long?” “It was just a friend. Steffy. Remember I told you a while ago that I have been reading my messages in the social media and 1 of those is from her. She is actually a close friend of mine. So, I thought of calling her.” Jessy explained confidently, since she knew she is not hiding anything. “Is that so?” “Yes, well-. You can actually check if you want.” Jessy suggested. “No need, I trust you.” Liam smiled. “Promise, next time, I’ll inform you ahead before calling her. Since she works overseas, we usually talk for hours. You know catching up a lot of things” Jessy laughed faintly. “Okay. I was just worried that some unwanted persons got your number and started bugging you. So, I actually scolded Jack for nothing” Liam laughed. “Why did you scold him? Liam! That’s mean, apologize to him now!” Jessy said angrily. “I wasn’t able to get hold of you, and I specifically asked him to make sure your number and location is not traceable.” “But I was just talking to a friend Liam! It's very unreasonable that you scold him because of that!” “I didn’t know.” Liam continued to laugh “Apologize to him now Liam, that’s unfair for Jack, he actually did a great job. I haven’t received a single spam message or calls ever since I got this phone.” “No!” Liam exclaimed. “Really? If that’s so, then I won’t talk to you.” Jessy said eagerly. “Are you threatening me Jessy?” Liam smirked. “Yes! Should I hang up already?” Jessy asked sternly. Liam thought of how stubborn Jessy is but of course she can't stand not talking to Jessy, now that he finally told her what he feels for her. “Okay, I will apologize to him later.” as he felt defeat. “Is he with you?” “Yes.” “Then tell him now, I want to hear it. Put your phone on speaker.” Jessy demanded. Liam thought of how can Jessy be so naive yet stubborn. “Okay” as he sighed deeply. Liam is actually inside the office with his assistants and some company officer. As what Jessy instructed, he placed his phone on speaker and placed it on top of his desk. He then called Jack, “Jack” he called and immediately Jack went over. “Yes sir, with regards to Miss Jessy’s incident-” Jack was about to explain but Liam gestured Jack to stop. “About that, I’m Sorry, she was just talking to a friend." Liam said without any expression on his face. Since it was very quiet inside the office, when they heard the conversation, all the people immediately turned to look at Liam and Jack, it was the 1st time they heard their scary and intimidating boss apologize to someone. And out of nowhere a female voice was suddenly heard. “Thank you, Jack, you did a great job with my phone!” Jessy said happily. The office then filled into silence, all the people’s expression was the same, they were shock. Even Jack was caught off guard. “Anything for you Ms. Jessy and thank you as well.” Jack replied. Liam then immediately ask Jack to leave and gave the people inside the office a deadly glare as he picked up his phone and canceled the speaker. “Are you happy?” Liam asked. “Very, Thank you Liam!” Jessy answered childishly. They continued to talk for a while and as Liam was busy talking with Jessy, he didn’t notice that the office was in silent uproar with what they just witnessed and heard. Some officers then gathered around Jack and gave im an imprompto interview. “What did just happen? Did the boss just say sorry to you?” Jack did not answered and only laughed. “It must be your lucky day today!” one officer exclaimed. “Was it a girl who spoke on the boss’ phone?” one staff asked Jack. “Yes” Jack answered “I think it was her who made the boss apologize to you.” as one staff guessed and laughed. “I guess so” Jack smiled. “Then we should meet that girl, it’s a very rare opportunity to meet someone who could make our cold boss do that." “You will meet her soon, don't worry." Jack answered. Finally, Liam hang up the phone and asked Jessy to eat first since it’s already dinner time in Country X. He then noticed that the people on the office are talking and gossiping. He cleared his throat which made everyone startled, Liam then gave each one of them a cold face and asked them to get back to work. Liam wanted to finish the project soon so he could go back to Country X ti be with Jessy again. If it means to make the people go on overtime every day and him having no rest then he will do it just to be with her the soonest. Back at Country X, Jessy sat for a while by the glass wall as she watches the city gets dark and soaked in rain. Her heart felt still as she thought of Liam, it seemed that she is slowly falling for him. “Should I stop or let it be? What if he will also end up hurting me, just like Jacob. He seems like a god at business and I’m just a mere office staff.” Jessy sighed “Ohhh my, what the heck did he saw in me? Am I even worthy of his love and attention?" Jessy felt so helpless. Suddenly the doorbell rang, so she got up and looked at the peep hole. It was the goods that Liam ordered his staff to buy for her. As she was about to hand over a payment and tip, the staff rejected it and informed her that everything has been paid for already. Jessy then got the goods and placed it in the countertop. She got her phone and sent Liam a message. “Got the goods already just now. I haven’t checked it yet though but thank you Liam. I think this is a lot, this could last me an entire month Haha. I’ll pay you when you get back :) “Jessy pressed send as she giggled. “It will only be good for a week since you’ll be cooking for me more once I get back.” Liam replied “If that’s the case, then I won’t be paying you and instead buy more goods when you get back so everything will be fresh.” Jessy replied. “I’ll unpack this first and won’t bother you so you can work.” Jessy sent another message. She then started unpacking the grocery bag. As she went through each goods, she noticed those were the same kind she bought last time, even the toiletries she needed and usually use are the same but in bigger packaging and quantity. “How good is his memory?” Jessy thought as she admired more of Liam's attention to details. Jessy had her dinner first and soon after she finished unpacking and arranging all the goods. Back at Liam's office, he just finished informing them about his plan for overtime and that incentives will be given for those who will work hard on the project to motivate the staff. He took out his phone and saw Jessy's messages. "I like that and I will surely look forward for that day." "I miss you Jessy" Liam was about to send that mesagae but becuase Jessy might feel his too aggressive Liam decided to delete it and saved it for another day.
