THE BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET BRIDE
Episode 1: The Wrong Place Amara had always believed that one decision could change a person's life. She just never imagined that hers would happen on a rainy Tuesday night. The rain poured heavily against the windows of Blackwood Grand Hotel as Amara hurried through the nearly empty lobby. Her shoes were soaked, her hair was dripping, and her heart was beating faster than usual. She was late. Again. "Amara!" She stopped. Her manager stood near the reception desk, arms crossed. "Where have you been?" "I'm sorry, Mr. Daniel. The bus broke down and—" "I don't want excuses. Go to the private floor. Mr. Blackwood is arriving tonight, and everything has to be perfect." Amara nodded quickly. "Yes, sir." Mr. Blackwood. Even hearing his name made her nervous. Adrian Blackwood was the owner of the hotel and one of the youngest billionaires in the country. People described him as intelligent, powerful, and impossible to impress. Amara had seen him only twice. Both times, he had walked through the hotel surrounded by security, looking as if the entire world belonged to him. She grabbed the tray she had been given and headed toward the private corridor. The hallway was unusually quiet. Too quiet. As she approached the private conference room, she heard voices. "Nobody can know about this." Amara stopped. She recognized the voice immediately. Adrian. She should have continued walking. Instead, she moved closer. The door was slightly open. Through the narrow gap, she saw Adrian standing beside a large table. Two men were with him. On the table was a black folder. Amara's eyes fell on the name written across it. Her name. AMARA. Her breath caught in her throat. Why would Adrian Blackwood have a file about her? She leaned closer. "She doesn't know anything yet," one of the men said. "She will," Adrian replied. Amara's heart pounded. She slowly reached for the door. It opened. Adrian was suddenly standing directly in front of her. Their eyes met. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then Adrian's gaze moved to the tray in her hands. "Why are you here?" Amara swallowed. "I... I was bringing refreshments." His eyes narrowed. "You were listening." "No." The answer came too quickly. Adrian stepped closer. Amara stepped backward. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hear anything." He studied her face. Then he looked over his shoulder at the two men. "Leave." The men immediately walked out. Amara remained frozen. Adrian closed the door. "What did you hear?" "Nothing important." "Amara." Hearing her name from his lips made her uncomfortable. "How do you know my name?" He didn't answer. Instead, he walked to the table and picked up the black folder. Amara watched him carefully. "Why do you have information about me?" Adrian's expression changed. Before he could answer, the lights suddenly went out. Amara gasped. A loud crash came from the other side of the room. Then someone shouted. "Get down!" Adrian grabbed Amara and pulled her behind the table. A second crash followed. Glass shattered. Amara covered her mouth to stop herself from screaming. "What is happening?" she whispered. "Stay here." Adrian stood and moved toward the window. The emergency lights suddenly came on. One of the men who had been in the room earlier was lying unconscious on the floor. The window was broken. Adrian looked outside. Then he turned toward Amara. His face had become frighteningly serious. "Someone broke into this room." Amara stared at him. "Why?" He didn't answer. Instead, he walked toward her. "From now on, you don't go anywhere alone." "What?" "You heard me." "Mr. Blackwood, I don't understand." Adrian looked at the black folder. Then he handed it to her. Amara hesitated before taking it. She opened the folder. Inside were photographs of her. Photographs taken outside her home. At work. At the bus station. Even photographs of her walking with her best friend, Lena. Amara's hands began to shake. "Who took these?" "I don't know." "Then why do you have them?" Adrian looked directly into her eyes. "Because someone has been watching you for weeks." Amara felt cold despite the warm room. "Why?" Adrian was silent. Then he said something that made her heart stop. "Because your father left something behind before he disappeared." Amara stared at him. "My father?" Her father had disappeared when she was twelve. For years, everyone had told her that he was probably dead. She had stopped asking questions. Now Adrian was telling her that her father had left something behind. "What are you talking about?" Adrian moved closer. "Your father was involved in something dangerous." "No." Amara shook her head. "You don't know my father." "I know more than you think." She felt anger rising inside her. "Then tell me the truth!" Adrian looked at her for a long moment. "Not here." "Why?" "Because whoever attacked this room may still be nearby." Suddenly, Amara's phone rang. She looked at the screen. It was Lena. She answered immediately. "Hello?" There was silence. "Lena?" A man's voice came through the phone. "Tell Adrian Blackwood that the girl is no longer safe." The call ended. Amara's blood ran cold. Adrian took the phone from her hand. "Who was that?" "I don't know." He looked at the screen. Then his jaw tightened. "We're leaving." "Where?" "My home." Amara stared at him. "Absolutely not." Adrian looked at her. "You have two choices. Come with me and stay alive, or walk out of this hotel alone and hope they don't find you." Amara hated that he was right. She looked at the broken window. Then at the photographs in her hands. Finally, she looked back at Adrian. "What happens if I go with you?" His expression softened slightly. "I protect you." "And what do you want in return?" Adrian paused. "Eventually, I'll ask you for a favor." "What favor?" He looked into her eyes. "One that could change both our lives." Amara didn't know it yet, but that favor would become a marriage. A marriage that began with a secret. A marriage that would eventually become the greatest danger—and the greatest love—of her life. Episode 2: The Offer The drive to Adrian Blackwood's mansion was silent. Amara sat in the back seat, staring through the window as the city lights disappeared behind them. Her mind was filled with questions. Who had been watching her? What had her father been involved in? And why did Adrian know so much about her family? When the car finally stopped, Amara looked up. The mansion was enormous. "Where are we?" she asked. "My home." Amara stepped out of the car and followed Adrian inside. Everything about the house was beautiful, but there was something cold about it. The walls were decorated with expensive paintings, yet the rooms felt strangely empty. Adrian led her into a private study. "Sit." Amara remained standing. "I want answers." "You'll get them." "When?" "After you understand what you're dealing with." He opened a drawer and removed another folder. "This belonged to your father." Amara stared at it. "My father gave this to you?" "No." "Then how did you get it?" Adrian hesitated. "I found it after he disappeared." Amara's eyes filled with tears. "You knew my father?" "I did." She stepped closer. "How?" Adrian looked away. "Your father saved my life." Amara didn't expect that answer. "When?" "Years ago." He placed a photograph on the desk. It showed two younger men standing beside a black car. One of them was Adrian. The other was Amara's father. Amara picked up the photograph with trembling fingers. "Why didn't you ever tell me?" "Because I promised your father I would protect you." She looked at him. "Protect me from what?" Adrian's phone suddenly rang. He answered. "What?" His expression changed. "Are you sure?" He ended the call. Amara waited. "What happened?" "Your apartment was broken into." Her heart dropped. "Lena!" "I've already sent someone to check on her." Amara immediately reached for her phone. "No signal." Adrian took her hand. "She's safe." "How do you know?" "Because my security team is with her." Amara pulled her hand away. "You have been controlling everything around me." "I'm trying to keep you alive." "I don't even know you!" Adrian stepped closer. "You will." Amara stared at him. "What does that mean?" He took a deep breath. "I need you to trust me." "I can't." "Then trust this." He opened the folder. Inside was a document. Amara read the first line. Her eyes widened. "What is this?" "A marriage agreement." She looked at him as if he had lost his mind. "You want me to marry you?" "For one year." "You're insane." "I'll pay your debts, protect Lena, and make sure nobody ever comes near you again." "And what do you get?" Adrian's expression became unreadable. "My family's company." Amara frowned. "What does that have to do with me?" "My grandfather's will." He explained that Adrian would only inherit complete control of the company if he was married before his thirtieth birthday. His deadline was only three months away. "So you need a wife." "Yes." "And you chose me?" "I didn't choose you randomly." Amara's stomach tightened. "You've been watching me?" "I've been protecting you." She looked at the contract again. One year. A fake marriage. Money. Protection. But there was one final condition that caught her attention. Neither party may develop romantic feelings for the other. Amara almost laughed. "You actually put that in a marriage contract?" Adrian's eyes remained serious. "It's necessary." "Why?" "Because falling in love would make everything more complicated." Amara stared at him. She wanted to refuse. She wanted to walk out of that mansion and never see him again. But then she remembered the photographs. The phone call. Her father's name. And the person who was now watching her. She slowly picked up the pen. "One year." Adrian nodded. "One year." She signed. But neither of them noticed the small camera hidden behind the bookshelf. Someone had been watching the entire conversation. And when the message was sent, it contained only five words: The billionaire has found his bride. Episode 3: The Wedding Deal Amara woke up the next morning in a room she barely recognized. For a few seconds, she forgot where she was. Then everything came rushing back. Adrian. The contract. Her father's secret. The attack at the hotel. She sat up quickly. A knock came at the door. "Come in." A woman carrying a tray entered. "Good morning, Miss Amara. Mr. Blackwood asked me to bring you breakfast." "Where is he?" "He's waiting for you downstairs." Amara sighed. She dressed quickly and went downstairs. Adrian was sitting at the dining table, reading something on his tablet. He looked up when she entered. "Good morning." "Is it?" He raised an eyebrow. "You signed the contract." "I know." "Then we have a wedding to prepare." Amara nearly choked on her coffee. "A wedding?" "We're getting married in seven days." "Seven days?" Adrian calmly nodded. "You said one year. You never said we had to rush." "My family is expecting an announcement." "Your family?" "Yes." Amara stared at him. "And what happens when they find out this marriage is fake?" "They won't." She stood. "I don't like lying." "Neither do I." "Then why are you doing this?" Adrian looked at her. "Because sometimes the truth is more dangerous than a lie." Before Amara could answer, the front door opened. A tall woman walked into the room. She wore an expensive black dress and carried herself with confidence. Adrian's expression immediately hardened. "Victoria." The woman smiled. "So this is her." Amara looked at Adrian. "Who is she?" "My fiancée." Silence filled the room. Amara's eyes widened. "Your what?" Victoria laughed softly. "Adrian hasn't told you?" She walked toward Amara. "We were engaged for two years." Amara turned toward Adrian. "You forgot to mention that." "Because it doesn't matter." Victoria's smile disappeared. "It matters to me." She looked at Amara from head to toe. "So you're the replacement." Amara felt anger rising inside her. "I'm nobody's replacement." Victoria stepped closer. "You don't know what you've gotten yourself into." Adrian stood. "Leave." Victoria ignored him. "You think he wants to marry you because he loves you?" Amara didn't answer. Victoria smiled. "He doesn't love anyone." She turned toward the door. "But don't worry, Amara. I'll make sure your little marriage doesn't last a year." The door slammed behind her. Amara looked at Adrian. "Should I be worried?" "Victoria is harmless." "She didn't look harmless." Adrian walked closer. "Don't let her get into your head." "Then tell me the truth." He stopped. "About what?" "Why does she hate me?" Adrian's eyes darkened. "Because she knows what happens if I marry you." "What?" Before he could answer, his phone rang. He looked at the screen. His expression changed. "What happened?" Amara asked. "Nothing." "You're lying." Adrian put the phone away. "Stay here." "Where are you going?" "To solve a problem." He walked away. Amara watched him disappear down the hallway. Something was wrong. She knew it. She returned to the study and noticed the black folder Adrian had shown her the previous night. She opened it. Inside was another photograph. Her father was standing beside Adrian. But there was someone else in the photograph. Victoria. Amara's heart stopped. On the back of the photograph was a handwritten message. Ask Adrian why your father died. Amara's hands began to shake. Her father hadn't disappeared. He had died. And Adrian had known all along. Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her. She turned. Adrian stood in the doorway. His face was pale. He looked at the photograph in her hands. "Where did you find that?" Amara stared at him. "You knew." Adrian said nothing. "You knew my father was dead." "Amara—" "Tell me the truth!" He walked toward her. "I'm sorry." Tears filled her eyes. "How did he die?" Adrian closed his eyes. Then he whispered, "Because of me." Amara froze. Before she could ask another question, a gunshot echoed from outside the mansion. Adrian grabbed her and pulled her behind him. Security alarms began screaming. He looked at her. "The wedding is no longer just a contract." Amara's heart pounded. "Then what is it?" Adrian looked toward the windows. "It's the only way I can keep you alive." And somewhere outside the mansion, someone was watching them. Waiting for the wedding day.
