Chapter 16: Black Beauty.

I walked outside the main door looking around.
There was already a bunch of men in suits with horses standing outside in a distance.
As I approached them, I discovered that it was Kronos, Dustin and other men, one of them was Liam. Kronos was wearing a white dress shirt, black pants and waistcoat, with his golden dragon brooch... huh? That looks quite a rare design.
(This guy has a nice classic taste).
He looks so- so powerful.
"Hey little sheep, you look wow." I giggled at Dustin and mouthed a small thank you at him. Kronos looked at me from top to bottom before looking away. Dustin was still wearing the same thing he wore morning. Why didn't he change?
"Dustin, you are not coming? Please don't tell me you are not coming." I pleaded with him restlessly.
"I'm afraid I'll have to tell you just that." He sent me an uncomfortable look and I paled. Oh no, this cannot be happening I thought he will be coming with us. I could have at least someone at my side to support me. "But don't worry I'll come to the Palace after I'm done with work. I have some unfinished business to take care of here then I'll head straight there too." I sighed and gave him an unsure nod.
"Let's go." The recognizable commanding voice was heard and immediately everybody started to move. I looked at the men in confusion. Is this guy going to have a parade to the palace? "They are coming with us too?" Kronos turned around looking at me with an annoyed facial. "Yes, they are. These five, Liam, Alex, Elijah, Luca and Luke are the most trusted men in my security team. Liam is the leader and my personal guard as you know. These two are assigned for you and the other two will be coming as well."
My lips formed an "Oh" and I nodded in understanding. But why so many guards?! I groaned at the thought.
“Get on any of those horses.” He said.
“Huh, we are not riding the carriage?”
“No”
(He and his short answer as ever)
“Horses” I whispered thinking deeply about them.
“Do you like horses?” Dustin asked me as I was busy gazing at them.
I looked up at the horse with stirring giddy excitement.

PERFECT!!
Horses were and are the best animals on earth. They were born to run perfectly muscled with strong beautiful bone structured and beautiful shiny hair!
I almost drooled at the exquisiteness of its heavenly body.
‘How beautiful.’ I whispered letting my thoughts leak out.
A beautifully strong-looking black stallion and a smaller but gorgeous white horse caught my eye. As I gathered my hands greedily thinking about their wonderful features.
At the same time, Kronos seemed relieved when I followed him voluntarily but when he saw my excitement, he looked a little strange.
After a few minutes of contemplation, he finally returned to his normal expressionless ‘Kronos-the-stony face’ and asked: “Have you had any riding lessons in the past?”
I nodded emphatically “I had basic lessons.” Of course, now I didn’t have maybe as much as he did but I think these and the horses back in the 21st century should be the same.
He offered me his hand.
“Alright, let’s get you up”
I walked towards the one that stole my heart.
Oh my …Such a beautiful pair of beauty! I get to ride him!
When I patted the gorgeous horse with lovely black eyes, those around me gasped. Why were they surprised?
The white horse was pretty and elegant looking, But the black muscular beauty was definitely my type.
People seemed to hold their breathes, Dustin asked me from behind
“Do you- Are you sure you… want to ride that one?”
“Yes!” I answered without turning around. I was so absorbed by the horse I didn’t even care nor notice what was happening around me.
“Yes this lovely black beauty,” I said as I continued to stroke its hair.
After a few minutes of silence, Kronos ordered the servant to get the white horse ready.
“Ellison get on this horse.” He said in a flat tone.
“What! No! You said to me I can select any one of these!” I whined.
“That’s mine” his voice totally said clearly that I can’t have it.
“Fine,” I said whiningly.
(How to mean why did he even bother to ask me… what a stingy guy is!)
I walked towards the white horse. Everyone looked at me as I stood in front of the horse.

(After, a few minutes of deep thoughts of unknown consideration.)
I turned around with a smile and innocently asked. “How do I get on it?”
Kronos and everyone looked at me with a baffled faces.
Ans later after a few minutes of crickets creaking silence, Kronos ordered the servant to help me on the horse.
What took him so long?
My heartbeat fastened as I got onto the horse.
“Wow!” I felt like I was on top of the world. Meanwhile, Kronos got onto the black beauty by himself, I glance at him briefly as he skillfully sat on it.
When I tapped the horse’s side with my foot lightly, the white horse started to walk slowly.
Yes! It’s happening! After trotting for a few minutes, I became more confident. After a brief hesitation, I decided to go for it.
Let’s run!
I kicked the horse a little harder, the white horse immediately understood what I wanted and started to run.
“Wow!”
Yes, I felt the wind blowing pleasantly against my face.
I loved it! When I ordered, the horse quickly slowed down. I patted his neck gently.
Such a good horse! Now, I wanted to go faster!
“Giddyap!”
My gaze landed on the ground, I saw a black figure just near the bushes running as fast as us. It has been a while since that figure was there. I could it be; that someone was following us? But my heart pace fastened in excitement as I felt a sense of thrill nothing made me this excited here since I have come here more than this horse. I couldn’t help but ignore it.
Although I thought I heard people yelling behind me, I was too captivated by this moment. The sound and the feel of the hooves, the horse’s heartbeat And my heartbeat! They all combined into a piece of beautiful music and were enthralled by it.

Through the loud sound of the wind, I thought I heard someone screaming my name who was that? It sounded desperate.
“Ellison!”
Someone was calling me desperately. I turned around.
