Chapter 2

I'm just running and running like what my parents told me to do. I run even when no one is chasing me and I never stop. I kept running like Dad told me not to stop until I could get away from this place. I had been running for hours in the middle of the night under the moon until my knees and feet finally give up due to extreme fatigue. I first sat at the root of the tree to take a rest.

"Maybe I'm safe here," I whispered before look at the cellphone that Mama gave me. I stare at the phone in a few seconds before immediately called my godfather Kenneth.

"Hello? Where are you? We've been waiting here for a while," my godfather immediately answered. I could not speak and only sobbing was my answer.

"G-godfather ..." I answered crying.

"Eira? Wait? What happened? Where are you?" full of concern he asked me.

"I don't know where I am, I can only see the trees here," I replied and looked around but only trees met my eyes.

"Eira, just stay there, I'm going to see you so don't leave wherever you are, okay? Your godfather is coming to save you. I can find you wherever you are so just stay there," he answered quickly.

"P-please...hurry up, I'm scared, Godfather," I replied in tears.

"I know, Eira. Just a little patience, we will get there before you notice, Okay?" he said and immediately turned off the call. After talking to my godfather, my parents fill up my mind immediately. I'm worried about them and scared at the same time.

Mama...

Papa...

Wherever you are now,

I just hope that you are safe.

I hope, you are here with me now.

I hope and pray that we will see each other again. I silently prayed that all would be well.

I was alarmed when a wolf suddenly appeared. I was trembling with extreme fear as he slowly walked closer to me. Based on his appearance, I can say that he is a rouge and he looks scary.

"Don't come near me," I said while my voice trembled. I stepped back and leaned my body firmly against the tree. I just want the tree to eat me at that point so that the wolf in front of me doesn't hurt me anymore. I shouted loudly when he suddenly jumped on me and out of sheer fear, I just closed my eyes and waited for him to hurt me. Even if I will run, it was too late. I was also tired and the rouge was so fast. I have no hope of surviving. If this really happens to me I will just accept it.

"Mama, Papa, I'm sorry because I did not fulfill my promise to you," I secretly prayed that my godfather will come to help me escape from this wolf. I waited for a few seconds, but later on I wondered why did the rouge not even have an impact on me? He did not hurt me. Until I just heard a noise. I quickly opened my eyes because of the noise and my eyes immediately widened at the scene that greeted me.

Laid in front of me was a broken head of a rouge, and a boy with a lot of blood on his clothes. He looked at me and I immediately backed away out of fear. I swallowed as he walked closer to me but I did not close my eyes.

"What are you doing here in the woods at this time of the night?" he suddenly shouted to me. I was shocked by his shout. Fear quickly enveloped my entire body.

"S-someone is chasing me. I ran until I ended up here," I replied trembling.

"Go home now, you're not safe here!" he said and turned around. He was about to leave but I chased him and I touched the end of his t-shirt. He looked at me badly.

"I'm afraid to be alone," I replied then I bowed.

"Tsss!" he pulled me up and made me sit on a tree. I thought he was going to leave me but I was surprised when he leaned over the tree I was sitting on. Silent eat us and no one try to spoke until I could no longer cope with the extreme silence and I asked.

"How old are you?" I asked, full of curiosity.

"Aren't you afraid of me?" he asked instead of answering my question.

"No. What's your name?" I answered quickly.

"I can hurt you," he said.

"But you won't," I replied, full of confidence.

" How did you know?" he asked.

"Because you saved me earlier," I replied and he fell silent.

"Are you a werewolf like the rouge a while ago?" again, I asked.

"Yes" he answered quickly and he stood up.

"Are you leaving?" I asked sadly. I don't want to be left alone in this dark place.

"Someone is coming," he replied. Maybe they're my Godfather and some of his man. I took his arm and put on him my blue bracelet.

"Always wear that, so that when we meet again I will know you. Thank you for saving me," he looked at me and the bracelet I gave him. After a while, he took off his necklace and put it on me too. From the light coming from the moon, I saw a silver necklace with a snow crystal pendant.

"When you take that off on your neck, you're dead to me!" he said and then left.

"Shall we meet again?" I shouted.

"Yes!" he answered and he disappeared from my eyes completely.

"Miss? Miss?" I woke up when someone shake my shoulder.

"Sorry, I woke you up, it's a bit late too and you're the only one left here," she explained. I looked around before look at her.

"Thank you!" I said. The old woman just nodded and left. I quickly put away my belongings. I did not realize that I fell asleep in the library while I was finishing my project.

"What time is it?" I whispered and looked at my cellphone. My eyes widened when I saw the call and text from Daddy and Kiel.

Im so dead!

Twenty miscalls and thirty text from them. I quickly called Kiel and he immediately answered it in just one ring.

"What the...Eira, what time is it? Where have you been? The whole pack house is worried about you!" he shouted on the other line.

"I'm sorry, Kiel, I still have a project to finish but I'm on my way home now. Please do tell Dad," I replied scratching my head.

"Stay where you are, I will pick you up," he replied.

"No need Kiel, I'm so close at home," I replied even though the truth is I haven't left the university yet. I just don't want him to get tired of picking me up.

"Tss! Okay, go ahead, I'll just wait for you at the Pack border," he replied annoyed.

"Thank you!" I answered then turned off the call. I went down to the ground floor and went to the parking lot and took my bicycle there and then I left the university.

That boy...

That boy who saved me twelve years ago. This year I always dreamed of him. I held the necklace he gave me.

"What do my dreams mean?" I whispered in the air. After thirty minutes, I can already saw the familiar scene. It only means that I am close to Dad's border territory. Since that day I have not seen my Mama and Papa.

And since then, my godfather have been adopted me , so now I am the daughter of alpha Kenneth and Luna Sheila. I have two siblings whom loving me dearly and I love dearly too. I love Kiel and baby Keanna.

For a long time, my life has been happy with them. I did not feel that I was alone because of them. That is what I am thankful for.

"Aaahh...!" I shouted in shock, suddenly a wolf jumped in front of my bike and he blocked my way. I looked at the familiar brown and white wolf appeared to me.

"Brother, I will have a heart attack because of you," I said confidently when I realized the Wolf form, I know it was Kiel. One of it's legs pointed at the bicycle wheel as if it were saying that it was going to drill.

"Don't... Brother, don't destroy it," I answered quickly. He approached and seemed to be saying that I will ride behind him. I just followed his wishes and left my bike on the side of the road because I knew he would come back to it as well.

It's so fun to ride behind the wolf. It was relaxing.

"Eira, shouldn't we talk that you should have gone home to the pack house by six o'clock?" he asked when we arrived at the pack house.

"I'm sorry brother. I just have to do this because the deadline for our project in English will be tomorrow," I replied. We entered a wide clearing of the Pack house.

"If something bad happens to you, your Professor will really have a deadline," he replied annoyed but I just smiled at him.

"Brother, I'm fine, aren't I? Don't worry about me," I answered and give him a wide smile.

"All right, go in and drink milk to relieve your fatigue," he replied.

"Thank you, brother Kiel," I replied with a wide smile again.

"Hahaha brother, really?" he laughed at his own question before left me dumbfounded. I just shake my shoulder while staring at his back. Maybe he will patrol the vast land again because Daddy's territory is thirty hectares.

"He will definitely get tired when he comes home later," I whispered into the air then went inside.

"Good evening!" I greet all the werewolfs inside our house.

"Oh, Lady Eira, you're home and you're find too. Alpha and Luna have been looking for you, even young lady Kiana has been looking for you for a while," said one of our assistants.

"I'm sorry if I make you all worried about me, I won't do it again. Where is my Dad and Mom by the way?" I asked.

"Your parents are in the meeting room, but the young lady is in the kids room," she replied. Kiana, will really wake up at ten and now still not sleeping.

I go straight to the kitchen first to prepare sandwiches and coffee for Mom and Dad. I will also make milk for the baby.

"Lady Eira, leave it. I'm here and can do that. You go and take a rest," I can feel the concern from her voice.

" I can do it, you should rest too. You are definitely tired," I said with a smile.

"You're really kind, Lady Eira," she replied with a smile.

"Thank you!" I replied. She smiled and then left me alone in the kitchen.

As I prepare the food, I was also singing . What can i do? I love to sing a song!
