"Even if I get hurt over and over again, I still won't leave your side," Eira Frostine Eira Pov "Thank you, lord. Thank you for another gift of life. Thank you for another one day that you gave me again," I said smiling when I woke up. I remember that I slept on the cold floor. I got up and then stretched my arms. Then I looked around and realized that I was still in jail. But I'm not chained so somehow I'm still lucky. And then they haven't tortured me yet so I can tell that I'm really lucky. "Maybe Gray didn't escape last night so he never got a chance to come back here," I said in a whisper, talking to myself. I have no one to talk to except myself. What can I do here? The prison was small so I could not move freely. I feel like this place is suffocating. "If I only had something to clean it now I would have done it," I whispered to myself. The day is clear so I can already see the dirt around me. I really don't like dirty surrounding. Moments later I suddenly heard footsteps that seemed to be heading towards where I was. Next there I heard the sound of luck opening and the door opening. It was as if I felt happy to think that I could talk to someone. Moments later Gray was seen approaching my side. I smiled immediately. "Good morning, Gray," I greeted him happily so he shook his head. I immediately looked down at the blanket and food on his hand. I swallowed and immediately salivated. I suddenly felt hungry. "Good morning? Seriously? Are you for real? Your unbelievable woman. I guess you're the only one I know who's been imprisoned and all but still happy. You still get a chance to smile at that state of yours," he said shaking as he landed the blanket to one side then he then handed me the food. "I still have many reasons to be happy. First thing is ---" he didn't let me speak. "Yes! I already know that. All right, just eat. By the way, I'm sorry if I just got back from the border patrol. Alpha has tightened our patrol in the pack area now," he said. I nodded immediately. "You haven't slept yet then. Here, eat well," I said and then handed him the half of the sandwich I was eating. The sandwich is big so I'm sure I'll be full of a piece. "Don't. That's really for you. And then I can eat in the kitchen later. But I'm sorry because I don't know how to cook. We always eat only bread here," Gray said while scratching his head. "Why? Don't you have someone who can cook here?" I asked in astonishment. "We have. But that just before and it didn't last as long with Alpha. Right now, I'm telling you that Alpha is a monster. Just a little noise and he turns into a dragon. Just a little mistake, he can immediately kill. Alpha doesn't know how to feel sorry and he also doesn't care about the people around him. So all of us here are just preparing our own meals," Gray replied. Unbelievable. It's so hard to live , even though they are tired of their pack work and patrols, they are still makes everything for themselves. They're pitiful. "Gray, you can make me as your helper here. I think, I can't leave your place anymore. Or do I still hope to be able to go home in our pack again?" I answered. I don't know but it seems like I want to help them so that they don't have to suffer in their daily lives. Gray stared at me in disbelief but I showed him that I was serious about what I said. For a few more moments, I smiled sweetly to convince him even more. "Are you out of your mind?" he asked incredulously. I smiled and then shook my head. "No. I'm perfectly fine, Gray. Why did you say I'm crazy?" I innocently asked back. I don't see anything wrong with what I said. I just want to help them so that they don't have to suffer anymore. "Do you know that this prison is the one I chose to take you to, so that you can live a long time? Because in this jail is the only one percent tendency for Alpha to go to. In here, he will not always see you so you are definitely safe. But now, you're telling me that you're going to be our pack's helper? Do you really want to die? " Gray growled at me. I shook my head. I don't really feel afraid of that Alpha. "Gray, I'm not afraid of him. I'm not afraid of him hurting me either. Trust me, Gray. I just want to do something because I know I won't be able to leave this place anymore," I insisted. I showed him my sweet smile again to convince him even more. "Are you sure about what you're saying? I'm telling you now, Eira. Alpha is a Beast. He show no mercy. The more you away from him, the safer you are. So think carefully," he said seriously. Smiling, I nodded in response. I knew he was just worried about me so he said all that. "Gray, in human life you also have to try impossible things so that you know whatever the out come. But in case he will kills me, it's okay. At least I'll die having done what I want to do in my life. In that case, eventually I have no regrets, "I explained, causing Gray to sigh. "And what else do you want to do?" Gray seems like didn't want to ask after a while. "I want to help you so you don't have to suffer anymore," I replied quickly. Then I smiled at him again. I can cook, clean and even do the laundry. "Seriouly? Eira, five thousand wolves live here in our pack. Are you sure you can do all the work here?" He asked again. He seem to be challenge my ability. I was silent and thought for a moment. They are quite a lot if there number is five thousand. I will definitely have a hard time doing everything. But as I know, they only eat snacks and lunch here because of their training. Maybe I still can do it that way. "I can do everything. I just need self -confidence," I replied loudly. "You know, that's really a bad idea, Eira. I'm not always by your side to protect you because I also have responsibilities in the pack. But when your path and Alpha will cross, just stay away from him. You just stay away from him. . Ayts! This is so wrong, Eira. Your like a dead meat now! " Gray added. "Gray, let's try first. If I don't really like the jobs that will be given to me, that's the only time that I will give up, "I insisted. I know that I am not the type of person who give up easily in trials. "Tsk! You're really weird. All right. I agree. But don't forget that I warned you, huh," Gray was forced to answer. "Thank you, Gray. Promise, I won't let you down," I said happily. "For you to live long outside the prison, this is what you will remember, Eira. Ignore Alpha. Do everything to avoid him. Don't look him in the eyes, don't ever dare to talk to him. Because that's what he dislikes the most. He often just talks to us using the mind link. And only once in blue moon in person," Gray reminded me. I feel like I would be rude if I did that to him. It's like I can't do that. Ayst! Whatever. "I'll try, Gray," I replied hesitantly. "Eira, don't just try. You have to do it. I'm telling you, he doesn't really want anyone talking and looking at him," Gray insisted. I was quiet and thoughtful. Why is he like that? Is it okay that you have other people with you but you don't pay attention to them? Is that still normal? "Okay," I compelled as i answer. So that Gray wouldn't have to worry, I just agreed to what he wanted to happen. It's up to me in case I encounter Alpha. I don’t want to think about it right now. I looked at Gray when he suddenly stood up and then opened the jail. "Let's go. I just hope that you don't regret what you want to do," Gray said shakily. "Not really. At least, now... I can get out of this dark prison. It's not that I don't want to be in this place, Gray. It's beautiful, but it's just that the place is so quiet . I really feel like going insane in a quite place. It feel so sad stay alone,"I said as we left the jail. "Everything is just beautiful in your eyes," Gray told me with a laugh. "Everything has a hidden beauty. You just have to open your eyes and your heart to see it all," I explained as we climbed the stairs. It turns out that their jail is also in the basement, the same as in our pack. "Why do I feel like you're older than me? The way you speak, there always a depth meaning behind it," I laughed at the kind of Gray's question. "Gray, that thing is not from being immature. It's in someone's understanding. And beside, I'm only eighteen, not old yet," I replied before we finally got out of the basement. When we left, I first noticed that their place was very quiet. It was even quieter in the cementery. It’s like no one lives in their pack, unlike our pack, you can always feel so alive around it. "Are you sure there are people living in here, Gray? Because even insects I can't even see and then I can't hear any noise around too," I said in astonishment. "There is. The only case is that we are used to not make any noise. Because when you make any noise, at least a little bit, be ready for your death wish," Gray replied seriously. What the hell? What kind of creature is their Alpha? Doesn’t he really like to be noisy? Everything has a reason and whatever his reason is I’m out there. I know he has a reason why he is being like that. And whatever his reason was, that was what I wanted to know. "Come on. This way is our kitchen," Gray said and I followed him. The house is large and has two floors. I think their house area is about four hundred sqaure meters. But with the size of the house and the number of hallways we passed through I also saw nothing. Not even a shadow of anyone didn't I see. "Gray, where are the people here?" I asked in a whisper. I deliberately lowered my voice to follow Gray's words. "At times like this, Alpha and I are in the pack house. So no one comes out of their room first. And besides, only high ranks live here in the pack house and the warriors and also the omega are outside the house. He lives here but when it comes to pack security, Alpha is the only one who does that, "Gray explained. "He doesn't want any help?" I asked in shock. Can't believe what I heard. "He doesn't want a companion and besides he can kill a pack without even sweating and getting injured. All of us here have an assignment on just what we have to do. I was on patrol and training with the others pack members and gamma has to take care of the order and the need for pack families,"Gray replied. "He's not that bad. Because he's still worried about you," I said and then we entered a large room. "All the utensils you need are in the drawers. I'm sorry because our refrigerator is kind a empty of sensible food. All the food I buy is just easy for me to cook," Gray said as if he was embarrassed. What a pity for him. He did everything and he is also the one who did the groceries. "Okay. You can leave it to me. I'll take care of it, Gray," I replied smiling. Think positive always, Eira. You can do it. "All right. I'll leave you here. I still need to go to the training ground," Gray answered immediately. "But Gray, you haven't eaten yet," I said worriedly but he just smiled at me. "We're used to it, Eira. All right. I'm leaving now. Maybe Alpha will arrived there before I got there, " he replied and then he hurriedly left. I could never speak again. "Don't worry, Gray. I'll just bring you the food to the training ground. But first I need to find out what I can cook based on what inside in your refrigerator," I said to myself before approaching their refrigerator and opened it. Hmf. The only ingredients they have inside of their refrigerator were eggs, hotdogs and ham. There is also mayonnaise and a catchup. I also saw that they had a lot of bread. "What can I do with it?" I asked myself. After a few moments of thinking I decided to just make a simple breakfast. Maybe I'll just add more rice. I'll just make a sandwiches with hotdogs, bread and mayonnaise so they can have a snack later. “Hopefully I’ll finish early so they don’t get too hungry,” I said to myself as I started cooking. "Okay, Eira. You can do this," I said smiling. I just really hope that they like what I will cook.
