Seraphine's pov. The door opened gently as heels echoed on the floor. Our heartbeats echoed loudly in our chests, and I could almost feel mine explode. The fear I felt could not be compared to what awaits me if I were to be caught by her. The footsteps suddenly stopped right in the center of the room. "I thought I turned off the lights when I went out?" Gina's voice sounded in the room. I felt my heart do a backflip. The only thing keeping me from panicking was the growing sense of understanding of what would happen to me if I were caught.
