Selina’s POV
The bath was exactly what I needed.
The hot water felt perfect against my skin, the tension of the past few days melting from my muscles. I’d piled my hair on top of my head and sunk down until the water reached my chin, eyes closed, mind finally quiet.
I heard the bathroom door open. Then the sound of quiet footsteps on the tile.
Then his arms slid around me from behind, pulling me back against a solid chest. A face buried in my neck, breath warm against my skin.
“Aaron,” I whispered, knowing him instantly.
He turned me in his arms, and I got my first real look at him. His pale blue eyes were dark with want. His feminine features…usually so soft, so gentle…had sharpened into something hungry.
