Her Mother

938 Words
I got a hotel to stay in for two days because I'm exhausted from the last two weeks. If I don't get in a 2 hour hot bath and some champagne someone is going to pay for my  wrath.  I lean my arm against The car window because I don't want to think about a moment without Desmond. If I find out information that will let me be with him without having to worry about killing the only person I want to spend my life with; then I'll gladly be with him, touch him, kiss him, do things I'm embarrassed to even think about. I lo- I have to be careful with what I say, it could become dangerous, I'll stop caring about what it might do. I pull up to the hotel parking lot, grab my things and head in the direction of the front office. "Hi, welcome to Hamilton inn. How may I help you?" The girl says professionally.  "I would like to check in, please." I hand her my confirmation number and credit card. She runs me through the system and checks all my information even asking me about my car details.  I walk to my room with my luggage, she put me in a suite (I begged for it-even paying $200 extra.) I open the door being greeted by a living room and a giant bed calling my name so loud I can clearly here it. I set my luggage down and shut my door- undressing the moment I see a Jacuzzi. I lay my clothes across the floor seeing my next suprise, even though I'm underaged...Champagne!!!!! I pop that sucker so fast and get inside the hot steaming water chugging it. I get shivers because my body is in its relaxed state. I rest my neck on the bath pillow and close my eyes, finally. I've been wanting this since my first day of school. ...**... "You are never going to find the answers your looking for, Alannah." I hear. I open my eyes to find myself in a tank, fully submerged in water. A girl appears from the shadows in a ripped black dress with a small train, her blonde hair sitting just above her butt. But I can't see her face, it's so dark, but her voice is echoeing and sounds so, compelling.  "When you wake up, go back to Desmond and-" she places her hands on the glass, her eyes glowing a blueish red,  "Kill him!" Her finger nail taps the glass and it breaks, the water and I flowing out when I open my eyes I gasp for breath. Oh my gosh, I almost drowned. This person wants me to kill Desmond? Who was it? I place my hand over my chest my heart racing. I'm not going to do that why would she think I would? I get out of the bath and get dressed. I place my hair into a bun, put on a bit of makeup, and begin to study it. It's only a few blocks from my old house, more than likely up the trail into the cabins. I guess the winner I find this lady the winner I can go home. I grab my purse and let my hair down, please be the information I want. I open the hotel door, ready to find my answer. I pull up to the dirt road where my house was. It was the first house on the trail, the only one in fact with a driveway. The rest of them was a trail you had to walk. There is a small parking lot your able to park in but thankfully their is something for the elderly so they don't have to walk that far along with groceries.  I park my car in the parking lot grabbing the proof that Miss.Wilsonn handed me.  On knock on the address this map provided me and wait for an answer. "Hello?" An elderly woman peeks from he window and I hold up the paper against the glass, when she sees it she unlocks her dooor- all 17 of the locks. Ok "Precautions." She said while opening up the door. I walk in and she closes the door behind me, locking the door, again.  "Would you like some tea? Coffee even?" "Uh, no. I just have some questions about-" "Iris, I know dear. I'll answer whatever questions you have. Iris was my daughter, a sick child. Namonia almost every week, she was in her death bed at 19. Me, being a witch... And a mother I did what any other mother would." "You mean you started Matanica?" She looks at me sincerely, "That was not me, I gave my daughter an alternative, she could either become the living dead or die a sick human girl." "Wait. You gave your daughter a choice to be a vampire? So she wasn't born a Matanica?" "No my dear, in fact this word, Matanica. Do you even know what it means?" I have no clue; none of the books mentioned a thing about the meaning behind the name.she gets up from the recliner she was in and walks to her bookshelf and pulls out a leather book that looks like it's falling apart. "This book will tell you everything you need to know about yourself, is there anything else?" "Is Iris or Elizabeth still alive?"  "I can't tell you. They left in 1906 that's all I know." . . .
