Subject: Matanica
Sunday, December 26th
My name is Doctor Ragnar; this is the registry documents from Lady Iris's death. She was found by an anonymous associate of mine. She is declared to be a Matanica of the early 1800's so I have taken upon myself to be her pathologist and examine her body over the last 200+ years of her long life lived. The first thing I did was take samples of her blood and ran through the advanced technology, I will be back in the office next Tuesday to check out the samples.
Tuesday, January 4th
I came into the office early morning to check on my samples and I am astounded by what I found. The human body has 2.5 trillion red blood cells, about 5-10,000 white blood cells per microliter of blood; including 5 different types of each white cell. Including the plateletes, there are well over 300,000 per liter of blood. With several tests I ran today, her blood doesn't have white blood cells and her plateletes are cut below the normal surviving level. Iris's blood was constructive to help a sick child- it was like her cells were manipulated in a way to keep her alive. Her DNA will be permanently written to keep her Alive. Her blood line will be written if a child is born sickly. Basically a cure for the sick- I have one of her friends- Lady Elizabet coming for a blood test to see the two reacting together. What I have found is extremely facinating.
Wednesday, January 5th
Lady Elizabet is a Vampire- a good friend of Lady Iris. If my hypothesis is correct Lady Iris's blood will react negatively and counteract as a poison.
Thursday, January 6th
I came into the office a little later in the day to give ample time for the blood to react to vampires blood. I looked at the results in the plastic tray; my hypothesis became an exact results. Matanica's blood is to act as a cure for a sickness, the reason it acts as a poison to Vampire blood is because vampires are dead, the witches in the early 1800's despised the dead because they were living. Lady Iris's mother's magic was not strong enough to re-write someones blood though. But examining the bites on her wrist it seems as if it's a scar from over 226 years ago- a vampire inserted there teeth and shared there venom. So maybe a witch had nothing to do with this at all- a vampire must have been told to share the venom, just as her blood was being re written. naturally the blood attacked this and made a self awareness to kill this gene off. So the blood writes this as our blood would do for a cold- telling itself to fight it off. So when a vampire or werewolf would partake from a Matanica it's drinking of the gene that kills them. I have a hard time wrapping around this complex understanding but again- it's remarkable.
Monday, March 14th
I've taken Iris's blood and stored it inside blood bags- eventually freezing them. I've been trying to re-write the genetic code myself to prevent a poisonous reaction towards the two but I have been unsuccessful for the two months. I take a plastic tray and fill it with both Iris and a vampires blood and try to rewrite it using science.

I have finally come up with a shot that works almost like the flu shot, you get it every two weeks- straight into the abdomen. The code for the antidote was complicated, I had to figure out how many cells were being killed of by Matanica's blood- how many times the red cells were being mutated and duplicated along with how fast the white blood cells were traveling to attack the vampires cells.
Virtually it will take 3 hours for a vampire to die from one drop of Matanica's blood- saliva is a different story. I had to include the DNA from both bodily fluids to contradict the Matanica- IN english, that means I had to confuse the blood with the spit. But sharing spit won't kill a vampire instantly- skin contact- won't kill instantly. It's all due to the DNA written by someone; the only person who knew was Iris.Any way- sharing skin contact and saliva, will only diminish a vampires health; they will regain it with human blood.
End of pathologist notes.
Doctor Ragnar was not trying to create a(n) antidote for vampires to suck on the sweetest of fruit but to do what Iris asked of him. Doctor Ragnar was a vampire- but had no Idea about Matanica's until she came along. She had begged her for years to test out her blood to create an antidote for her and her lover; Ragnars brother- a woodsman. But he declined because he knew how dangerous it was, but he knew he shouldn't have as soon as he saw her in a body bag.
Doctor Ragnar made hundreds of antidotes to help those later in the years- being that her blood was spreading across the America's and the United kindoms- basically around the world. When vampires and werewolves became noticed by people that is when matanica's started spreading- someone spread the word about them being able to kill these supernatural, frightening beings- so everyone wanted them. So Doctor went to each bloodline that hadn't been caught yet and gave them the antidote, once each Matanica had been vaccinated, the word calmed down and hasn't been a single Matanica since.
There is a problem- after all of that running around to protect the line of Matanica's Doctor Ragnar had been discovered drinking a young womans blood in the streets of new england and was decapetated- the last of his vaccine was never found.
I am Doctor Ragnars assistant- Malia. I was studying his recent works before his decapitation and he never mentioned the latest algorithm and his last vaccine was on him- he was on his way to examine a sick child- possibly just the flu but he was being cautious.
I've been scanning through his research for the last ten years and I believe his latest vaccine was hidden in an office somewhere in london.
If you are a Matanica reading this book- then I have failed to find it- I'm going to london tomorrow.
Sincerely
M.C.
Iris fell in love with a vampire- dies- is examined for her blood and has created a vaccine with her blood and spit, she saves millions of lives- or dead lives; then the vaccine is lost and I'm the last matanica? Great. I have hit another dead end. Who is M.C I mean I know her name is Malia and her last stop was here in london, why would me reading this book mean her days of end?
