"Your her?" I say bluntly from my bed reading out of this leather book. She's standing in front of me but how could that be? She's dead.
"I here you've been looking for me." She rests her hand on her hip, her long beautiful blond hair tied up in a ponytail that reaches to the middle of her shoulder blades. My mouth is open in shock- I didn't even notice the briefcase that clearly had a name written across it.
"But you're dead." I state.
"That's what I wanted you to think."
"You're Lady Iris, you're standing in my bedroom; the very first Matanica is in my room right now." I got up from my bed touching her, poking her, just making sure she is real. She doesn't look a day over 20, How is that possible. I turn to her wrist- the one mentioned in the book, there it is- a scar. Evidence of how our blood kills vampires and werewolves. Her skin is flawless her hair isn't a least bit frizzy and her eyes radiate the same red- brown color as Desmond.
She walks over to my bed opening up the briefcase labeled 'Docotr Ragnar' and looking at me.
"Doctor Ragnar was decapatated but I did it. I had to- he was using my blood on Matanica's and sucking there blood dry. He was addicted to the sweet smell radiating from the skin of each girl- even two of my sons. He killed off my bloodline- except one. When the girl, Malia came looking for the missing antidote, I had no choice but to end her- she was getting too noisy. So-" She put's both of her hands on her waist and looks at me, intensly.
"You are following in my footsteps, my daughter." Daughter?! My Mother is located in Michigan, the mayor in fact. I never knew about Iris, nor did I want to until a few weeks ago.
"DAUGHTER?!" I snapped. I stood up from my bed and my lips went tight.
"You're in love with a vampire you can't have, Puella."
"That's my name? Emily?" She was surprised to know I speak Latin, I know a lot because of the research and school over been to over the last month.
"Even if you are my mother- why are you in my life only now? and how are you still alive."
"I don't have the time for silly questions you already know the answers too. But I have the last vaccine- I know that you and Desmond want to touch and even do more- but you need this vaccine to do so. But you need more than just one, I have a doctor in winchester about 60 miles south of here. If you want this, I need you to come with me to create a new type of vaccine." I look down contemplating whether Desmond would be okay with this, him and I haven't been on speaking terms lately. I don't want to hurt him- but I want him to know about his.
"I have something I need to do first." I tell her. She sits on the couch I have sitting under the window- it needed something, it was beginning to look depressing. I walk down the hall to desmond's door, standing in front of it- my handed beginning to knock, but I was scared. I haven't talk to him till I said I wasn't coming back, and that I also told him I wasn't going to put him through death because of the cost of our love. But I needed him to help me with a decision- ask him if he loves me, addressing what we really are or can be, I knock.
Desmond answers the door in nothing but a towel- I blush and look away, I don't want to but I have too. His face was somewhat shocked, as if he wasn't hearing what happened in the room next door, basically. He pushes his hair back and leans his left arm against the door,
"What are you doing here?" He asks.
"I need your help with a decision, it has to do with us." I look at him- my eyes searching for his emotion right now but I couldn't find the answer. I begin to blush,
"Do you love me?" I ask smiling.
"Hell yeah, what kind of question is that?" He steps forward just about to kiss me but I take a step back- after what I read today, I don't want to slowly take the strength from him.
I explain myself to desmond before even telling him about the vaccination. I tell him the information I found down in Missouri and the book I received from Iris's mother- whom I assume told Iris about me.
"There is someone in my bedroom, she wants to give me the vaccine but needs me to go to winchester for a few months to collect more vaccine. I wanted to know if this is something I need to do- which is why I asked if you love me. If you didn't I didn't want the vaccine. But I want to kiss you and hold you without worrying about killing you. But I don't want to do this alone Desmond, can you come into the room with me?" He didn't even wait- he got dressed in less than 5 seconds- he was ready. He put a glove on his right hand and grabbed mine- he begins to lead me to my room when he stops, Iris staring into his eyes.
"Well, who would have known my daughter was in love with a true blood." I look at desmond in confusing- he wasn't happy, but didn't he say he didn't know Iris? Iris looks at me, a smile from ear to ear is painted on her face.
"The only- true blood left because of your f*****g tests." The reason Desmond was the last of his bloodline after 1916 was because a vampire killed off three of his half siblings- which I just found out when Raj was talking with Desmond. But I didn-
"You're not Iris are you?" The woman was surprised at my realization.
"You catch on quickly, dont you? That's my mother in you. You're correct- my Mother gave birth to me over 350 years ago. But I am her daughter- the only one to come out a vampire- without Matanica blood. However- I gave birth to you- a matanica the only one in the 21st century to born; the first to be born from a vampire. I don't know how but I envied and hated you. I gave you up for adoption when were were 4 months old, I couldn't touch you, kiss you, or even be near you. But I am here to change that- puella. Please, both of you, let me make it up for my past mistakes, all I was trying to do was find the antidote for my daughter, puella. The only information I got from your father- Doctor Ragnar-"
"DOCTOR RAGNAR WAS MY FATHER?!" I hold my hands up to my head in frusterataion- I begin to cry and my breath begins to grow deeper- I haven't had this since I was zapped with that laser. I feel faint again- I begin to fall, none of them can touch me so I fall onto the ground, my face is attached to the carpet until I regain my strength.
"That's interesting- how often does she faint, desmond?"
"She used to do it often. Whenever something got to overwhelming she would faint- I normally catch her but- I-"
"She does that to keep herself from essentially blowing up- She's a fast learner from someone who doesn't remember anything."
We have to give her this antidote before it's to late.
