I wonder how far this place is, all he told me was that it's important. If Desmond knows something that is a 'need to know' basis I trust him wholeheartedly. For desmond this must me amazing- but I'm starting to feel ill, Everything is coming at me so fast that my eyes can focus on one thing like I would like.  After three minutes Desmond stops- he has to take a look at the map but I can't let go- my hands are attached to him- there is no way I'm moving. "Alannah- you need to let go. I have some business I need to take care of- will you wait here please." I shake my head no- If I get off, I'm throwing up everywhere. I'm sure my face looks green, I feel green.  "You know I can easily take you off my back right?" He grabs me flipping me over to face him, I can already feel my breakfast coming up- "Woah, are you alright?" He asks placing his hands on my shoulders examining my eyes, his face is growing with worry. uh oh, here it comes- I run away and turn the corner and get sick right on the tree- Desmond comes over and tries to hold my hair- "NO! Get away, you touch it and you are dead.Please." I scream trying to catch my breath- Desmonds hands are up in surrender realizing that I was right. I grab a toothbrush from my bag and go down to the creek- the water should be pretty clean if it's coming from the mountain. I rinse my toothbrush in the water and slap on some toothpaste brushing my teeth. I always come prepared- how would I know if we got stuck somewhere, I couldn't imagine being stuck in a room with someone who has bad breath- yuck!  I spit in a bush, then rinse my tooth brush off in the water, I turn around noticing Desmond gone,  *Low rumbles*  I look up to the sky assuming their was thunder approaching but the it was clear, It has to be my stomach then. Being that I just threw up the only food I had in my system. I bend down and put my toothbrush in my bag, I pull out the map that Desmond handed me before we left and unfold it. How can you tell which way is the correct way? How do you know where you are without any indication of where you have been- especially riding on a vampires back we could be seconds away from our destination but the circle on this map is almost off of it- like it's where the white barrier meets the outside of the map.  *Snap*  I quickly turn around to see if there was someone behind me- where are these sounds coming from? I fold the map back up and put it inside my bag- "ALANNAH!" Desmond screams- A loud roar appears from behind me and I look- a giant dog emits with his mouth wide open when desmond punches the white Dog right square in the Jaw. I back up with feet until my back hits against a tree stump- that had been chewed on. My heart is thumping through my chest- my breath escaping rapidly as I watch Desmond avoiding the chomps of this fairly large dog. When it came to- in a movie I saw when I was about 14 or 15 they called a 'werewolf' the largest dog creature.  "STOP!" They both look at me, Desmond continuously moving his eyes to watch the dog- and me.  "Alannah, don't." Desmond demands but I don't want to listen- this one time I want to rebel against him.  "I'm a Matanica." I puffer out my chest to show that the coward I'm trying to hide is gone. But the dog licks his lips and slowly walks over to me until he picks up his pace and begins to run towards me-  "Enough Tetra, you've had your fun." The dog stops and slides in annoyance. Desmonds heart slows down- I can hear clearly now. A guy drops from the tree across from me and lands straight onto the ground. He has little color in his face and his hair is a black- his hair is combed elegantly- almost a 1912 type of style which means lot's and lot's of Gel. He walks over to me- sniffing me out and touching my hair, not going to lie, I'm a little weirded out. "Desmond- your taste is rather... deadly." He looks over at him, Desmonds eye shine red- his eyes are furrowed in anger. He isn't happy that I'm being touched neither am I. I slap his hand away from my face- "Who do you think you are? That furry smelly dog just tried to eat me all because he wanted to have some fun?"  "oo, a fiesty one- I like it," He licks his lips and his eyes widen- all of a sudden Desmond has his hands clenched inside a tight grip, his jaws tight showing how pissed he is. "Were not here to play games- we need your help Raj." He dismisses the big dog because he knows it's serious. The dog whines but he gets up and walks away. Raj get's rid of his ridiculous accent and begins to ask Desmond the situation. "Alannah is a Matanica- but their is a bit of a snafu, we have no information about it so were-" "How funny, a Matanica and a Vampire, in love it will never work you know. Two people must have physical contact to remain in love. If you want your answers you won't find them here- but," "But what" I add, grasping on to the little hope I have left.  "There's a town- in America. I believe a woman with a name" "KA." Desmond finishes.  Desmond knows this woman because she was the one who told him about it in the first place- she is assumed to be both a foreteller and a witch- Iris's witch. If we find her- we find Iris's real diary. But that means I need to go back to the school and pack a small luggage case because this trip is going to be a few days. I latch on to Desmonds back,  "Oh and Desmond. You two should probably stop kissing, it's making you weaker." I look at Desmond feeling terrible, I never once asked how he feels we just kinda- broke the rules. He's getting weaker because of the desire to taste him but he's dying slowly from it. Desmonds eyes grow red because of the comment, his temper is getting rather short. But mine is too- can we not touch at all?  I close my eyes this time because I don't want to get sick again, I barry my face in his neck as we travel back to the school, I honestly don't want to go.  How did Desmond know about that guy- Raj? A friend? a foe? and why did Desmond try and stop me from telling that dog about being a Matanica?  I'm exhausted- when desmond jumps trough my window he lets me down before plopping on the floor in exhaustion. "Oh come on- I barely weigh 55 Kilos-" Since when did I start european measurements? I see Desmond huffing and I begin to worry- it wasn't my weight that was the problem- raj was right- me being on him- my face contacting him for that long made him weak. What do I do? I drop down to my knees patting and rubbing circles on Desmonds back. "What do I do Desmond- tell me how can I help." He looks up in agony- his fangs appearing from his gums. He needs blood, but what kind? He doesn't seem like the type to drink from blood with how he treats me- but I'm different, he wouldn't hurt a fly if it were on me, DAMN IT! I WISH I WASN'T HIS POISON!  Tears are filling my eyes in panic- I don't know what to do.  "Desmond what do you drink! Bunny rabbits or teenage girls, which one!" I cry-  he holds up two fingers- he needs to drink from a human vain- that has to be the only way. I put his arm around my shoulder and help him walk to his bedroom- don't die Desmond. Please. I open his door and lay him on the bed- "I'll be right back desmond. Don't die!" I run out the door- I need to find someone- but it can't be here; no one is allowed to know about 'Level D'.  "Why are your eyes red?" Majika appears around the corner. I jump, she has her arms crossed.  "Desmond he-" She shoves me aside and runs to his room- I follow. She sees desmond's fangs and eyes- he is sweating profusely. She moves her sleeve up and positions her wrist over his mouth and he grabs it- she's part deer and part human- he wasn't holding up two fingers for the second option but for both options. Majika snaps me out of my head- "This happened because of you! You are going to kill him! LEAVE! GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Her words sting like a knife to my heart, tears leaving my eyes. I run to my room and pack a small bag running out the room and out of the school.  I can't hurt Desmond any longer- I won't come back till I have my answers, if this what keeps desmond safe then this is what must be done.  I look back to Desmond's room, majika wrapping a bandage around her wrist watches me leave with a smile on her face.  This is for the best, I love him but I don't love him enough to watch him die in front of me.
