Inside Desmonds life (short story)

Desmond was born 1,200 years ago- he was born into the line of 'True blood' vampires. His family escaped the dawn of the blood red moon when he was 7 years old- before he began to grow fangs. The dawn of the blood red moon was a battle between werewolves and Vampires. Both of Desmond's parents were mauled by vampires who turned to the werewolves side last minute.

When Desmond was beginning to grow his adolescent fangs he didn't have anyone helping him to control his thirst- in fact he didn't even know what to feed on he felt hungry with whatever had blood in it. He first started drinking from animals, it lasted a while but the heat penetrating from his victim wasn't enough so he fed on his very first human at the age of 14- straight from the neck. 26 victims died from his hands- rather his fangs. He had no Idea how to use his vampiric powers, how to control his thirst because he had no example. He saw times changing quickly- right into American evolution. 

When New england was formed he saw multiple ships a day offloading people and supplies then leaving when dusk was ahead. At first they slept in tents made from deer skin eventually progressing in skills as time went by. He watched the people developing their own government versus the reign under king henry. 

That time went quickly into civil war- now his victims were up to 240 and counting. He was the longest vampire to go unnoticed, until the death rate was climbing. 

Then- came the time of Matanica's. But this started in 1892 way after Lady Iris. This is when Desmond went back to drinking the blood of Animals and also realized his compelling techniques. In 1910 Desmond found a relative from his bloodline- a half brother from his mother's side. His half brother taught him everything to know about being a vampire and because of his blood born talents his strength was exuberant- he also found out that his true blood parents were the strongest in over 750 years. Desmond's half brother old him something he really didn't want to know and that was if he stopped drinking human blood his thirst would become greater and greater and he wouldn't be able to control it anymore. But did he listen to his half brother?
