The next morning, Peter was in the kitchen cooking up a full breakfast for his beloved boyfriend who laid in bed, still in a deep slumber.
'Good morning, Peter.'
'Morning, Sloan.' Peter greeted their housekeeper, an old lady who has worked with Blaine's family ever since he was a child.
'How are you feeling, today?' Peter asked, flipping the pancake over.
'I'm feeling okay, dear.' she said and placed her bags on the counter.
'Are you sure? If you arent feeling great you can take the week off.' Peter said.
'Nonsense, I'm perfectly fine. Move aside. I will do the cooking.' she said and went to try and grant the spatula off Peter's hands.
'No, I'll be alright. I want my man to taste my love.' Peter smirked and flipped the pancake onto the plate by the side.
Sloan gave him a cheeky smile and nodded her head before walking into the pantry.
Peter grabbed the tray and made his way out of the kitchen and towards the stairs that lead up to the second story of their home.
Blaine owns a 3-story mansion by the upper east side where he and Peter lived for 3 years now. It was originally passed down to Blaine from his grandmother who ran the Mafia before him.
His family goes way back in the Mafia business, dating back decades. One of the first-ever group to have ever formed an organized crime network. They originated from Torut but moved to Canes when his grandmother was a little girl. And now they run the world's biggest and fastest-growing trades in machines, drugs, and weapons. They are also big on the dark web and black market, operating from the back and ensuring everything goes smoothly.
Blaine inherited all of that when he turned 21 and is doing a fine job as his parents had predicted he would do.
Peter Dunkin grew up in a fairly normal household. With an over-controlling father and a sweet mother whose main job seems to be holding the two men together by threads.
Peter never had a good relationship with his father. It was a strange dynamic where they would bond over their favorite cheese on one hand and fight about how Peter was a disgrace on the other.
Things only got worst between them when Lucas found out his only son was dating the degenerate from high school, Blaine Carter Ace. The son of the family who just moved into town, who seemed to be very wealthy. Suspiciously wealthy.
Peter and Blaine went to the same school when they were younger. It was a highly prestigious high school and Peter got in through a scholarship, as well as the fact that his father was a well-known detective in town and well-loved by many.
The first display of wealth that Blaine's family shamelessly did was donating a library in the school under Blaine's name as an admission fee, which was what got him into the school without them having to go through any deep paperwork or background checks on them.
When Peter had revealed the fact to his father, that Blaine got in through a large donation, it piqued the man's interest. Because it was not only illegal to bribe, but also, not many people would go to that extend for a high school. College maybe, but not high school.
Lucas was a detective as well before Peter, and little things will catch his curiosity. When Peter started bringing the boy home, he first enjoyed his company. As Blaine was a charming man, it wasn't hard to give a good first impression. But soon, his fondness for him starts to deteriorate when he realizes that Blaine wasn't willing to share many details about his family. Whenever he would ask about their names or what they did for a living, the boy would smile and simply change the subject.
The one thing Lucas Dunkin hated the most in the world is secrets.
And that's one thing Blaine Ash seems to have a lot of. Lucas didn't like that and would advise his son to stay away from the Ash family. At least until he gets to the bottom of who they were and what they were doing in their town with their sports cars and fancy attire.
But Peter never listened. And instead of meeting at his house, they decided to meet at Blain's estate and spend time there after school. He, like his father, had a natural sense of curiosity.
Blaine was Peter's mystery. The man had this aura about him that is so intimidating and mysterious. Although now it takes very little for Peter to read Blaine, it wasn't always like that. Especially when they were little. Blaine was well at manipulation and reading other people's body language. He knew how to get into people's minds and control their behaviors without them even realizing it. Bred by Mafias. Trained by Mafias.
He was a snake with angel wings.
And Peter loved that about him. He loved that he had a puzzle to solve. He loved the thrill of not knowing what's to come with the guy. It was like writing a book that has already been written and you just have to guess if you've gotten it right.
Blaine found an interest in Peter as well, but for a different reason. They were meant to gain the trust of the town's policemen and detectives and it was Blaine's job to ensure Peter could trust him.
But as it will soon be the first mission he fails, Blaine fell in love with Peter. Turns out the boy isn't as dumb as Blain had suspected he would be. Peter knew all along what he was up to. He figured it out himself who the Ace family were while walking around their mansion and putting the pieces together. The art in the home, the family photos, their name.
With a little digging through the deep web and weeks in the libraries looking through families with the last name, Peter put everything together. It took him a total of 6 months of them two dating for him to confront Blaine about the truth.
But Blaine knew he had found the one when Peter came back and told him that the secret was safe with him. And that he would do everything it takes to ensure the police don't find out about anything. Blaine had never trusted anyone outside of his own family. But somehow, Peter has gained his trust, and a little more.
Their history was messy and filled with lies and secrets, but they had always come out stronger than ever. It was like nothing could break them apart. It was them against the world.
When Peter reached the door of the masters, he pushed it open with his back and walked in, holding the tray in his hands tightly.
Blaine was sat up in the bed, the phone held up to his ear as he was engaged in a heated conversation.
'*は*がどこにいるのか*にしない。*は*を*つけると*った!そして、それが*わったら。*を*しなさい。*からの*ののぞき*は*きたくない (I don't f*****g care where he is. I said find him! And once you're done with that. Kill him off. I don't want to hear another peep from him.)' Blaine screamed into the phone aggressively. His face was in a deep frown and he looked extremely angry.
Peter sighed disapprovingly and placed the tray down on his side of the bed before taking a seat next to Blaine.
'すばやくきれいにします。(Make it quick and clean.)' he said and hung up the phone.
'Morning.'
'Morning, darling.' Blaine said and leaned in to kiss Peter on the cheeks.
'What was that about?' Peter asked curiously. It wasn't every day he hears Blaine speak Japanese and when he does, it's usually for serious matters where their Japanese associates would are getting involved in the matter, and they aren't to be messed with.
'Nothing. Just had to shut someone up.' Blaine said and pulled Peter by the hand to come closer to them. He started peppering light kissed on his forearm and working his way up to his shoulders.
'What have I told you, Blaine? You keep killing people off like that I won't be able to keep it under control in the station.' Peter scrunched his brows. He had told Blaine to stop with the murders or at least lessen it. Because the chief would be more patient and lenient with the case if no lives are lost.
They had already killed off 5 officers, 3 rats, and 6 witnesses. It's getting hard to convince the man to stand down.
'And I've explained that we can't just let people off. Do you know what would happen if we let them run free? You being in the station is not going to help matters at that point. I know you need to do your job but I have to do mine as well.'
'I need a way to tell Micheal that the deaths have stopped and we don't have to worry as much about Montana Cartel anymore. He won't believe me if people are going missing and dead bodies are found every week.'
'Don't worry. There were way more...complications during your father's time on the case three years ago. And they still never caught on to anything. So in the chief's eyes, I bet you are doing amazing.'
'You go tell that to him. I made you pancakes.' Peter rolled his eyes and smacked the tray onto Blaine's lap.
'My favorite.' Blaine smiled and started to dig in. Peter kept his eyes on him and found his lips tug up. His partner just looked extremely adorable. Naked under the sheets while devouring the food he prepared with his heart all morning. It made his heart beat faster.
'My mother called again today.' Blaine said after a few minutes of silence.
'What did she want?' Peter asked.
'Same thing as last time.' Blaine said which earned him a frustrated groan from Peter who threw his body onto the bed, hiding his face in the pillow.
'Peter, she's worried. I'm 31 now and by tradition, my job should be passed down to an heir by the time I turn 50. My parents had me when my father was 25.' Blaine said and moved his hand to rub the back of Peter's neck to release some tension.
'I thought we already told her. Neither of us wants children.' Peter looked up at Blaine who looked away.
'I didn't tell her that.'
'Why the hell not?' Peter asked finally sitting up and facing his boyfriend.
'Because I never said I didn't want children. You said you didn't want kids and I said we will talk about it when the time comes. And the time has come' Blaine explained with his eyebrows raised.
'What are you so afraid of, babe?' Blaine asked. 'We will be amazing parents. My mother has even volunteered to help us out with the process.'
'What does she have in mind?'
'Surrogacy. Or adoption if we find the right one.' Blaine explained.
'What so we're just going to shot you sperm into another woman? I don't know how I feel about that.'
'I need an heir. We need an heir.' Blaine tried to reason, grabbing hold of Peter's hand. 'Not wanting children is not a good enough reason to let generations of hard work go down the drain.'
'So I have no say in this matter?'
'That's not what I meant.'
'No that's exactly what you mean, Blaine.' Peter stood up from the bed and burst out.
'You're not giving me a choice at all. If we don't have a kid, your family's business ends with you. If we do, I'm going to be miserable and we're going to f**k up a kid's future.'
'Okay, you're obviously upset about this. We don't have to talk about it right now, baby.' Blaine said. He hated seeing Peter angry or sad. It made him upset as well.
Blaine placed the tray aside and motioned for Peter to come into bed with him, which he did. Peter rested his head on Blaine's chest and they sat in silence for a moment, enjoying each other's presence.
'What difference does it make? Your mother will call again and we would have to have the same conversation.' Peter said.
'Just think about it, okay. Like everything else, we will figure it out.' Blaine planted a small kiss on Peter's head.
'Do you want kids?' Peter asked out of nowhere.
All their conversations regarding this matter have always been very vague and one-sided. Peter expressed concerns about the child growing up with criminal parents and that was what really made the decision so hard for him. But he never really asked Blaine what he wanted. When it comes to their relationship, Blaine has always done whatever Peter wanted. He was a very laidback guy when it comes to matters outside his work. Peter loved that about him, but he tends to forget to ask him what he wants sometimes.
'It wouldn't be the worst thing.' he replied. 'I know we would do an amazing job. I see how much love you can give. We're both intelligent and we know how to stay safe. The kid will be protected by the family, nothing will go wrong.'
Blaine moved Peter's head so that he was looking up before smashing their lips together in a deep kiss.
'What do you say, darling?' Blaine asked when they pulled apart.
'I will think about it.' Peter said with a sigh.
'Thank you.' Blaine smirked and gave him another long kiss.
'I love you so much. You know that, right?' Blain asked staring into Peter's eyes.
'Yeah. And I love you more.'
