Peter sat at his desk finishing up some paperwork that he had to submit to the chief about one of Montana Cartel's possible campsites. He had to provide evidence that its site exists and strange operations are happening there that are linked to Happy and his team.
Obviously, this campsite was a distraction that Blaine set up especially for the police to go and chase after something that doesn't exist. They had planned to station some fake materials there with some security guards they had hired who knew nothing of their operation. So when the police were to bring them in for questioning, no actual information will be shared.
'Peter, come to my office would you?' Micheal said as he walked past Peter's desk.
Peter quickly stood up and went to retrieve the paper he printed out before following the chief into his space.
'Please tell me you've got news on the Montana case.' he said and took a seat on the chair.
'We may have found a new campsite. According to this post on Playroom.' Peter said and passed Micheal the paper he printed. On it was a screenshot from one of the sites on the dark web where people often deal and trade guns. The screenshot showed a picture of a rifle and a shipment address by the side.
'They are planning to send this and a few others to that address by noon today. Eddie was monitoring the activity of the site and it was posted just a week ago.' Peter explained. All while keeping a close eye on the chief's body language to see if he was buying it or not.
'And who are you sending to go investigate?'
'I don't think we should raid this one, chief.'
'Why? You've got the address set out on a platter for you. What are you talking about.'
'I know... I don't think it's wise to raid a gun shipment. Drug shipments are much safer and guaranteed to have a higher survival rate of our men.' Peter explained.
Don't fall for it.
'Yeah? We have guns too, Dunkin. Raid the place.' the chief said.
Perfect.
'Don't say I didn't warn you.' Peter said. Peter turned his back on the chief and moved to leave the room with a satisfied smile that he tried his best to hide. Things were going just as plan and he couldn't have been happier.
When he reached his desk, Peter took his phone out of his pocket and sent a message to Blaine informing him that the plan was a go.
Blaine replied to him in only a few minutes.
'Mum's flying in for dinner. Sloan is cooking. Love you, don't be late.' -Blaine
Peter sighed in frustration and the message. Really? He knew what Blaine's mother is going to talk about. The baby. An heir for Blaine and their dynasty.
'Okay.' Peter texted back and threw his phone aside, mentally preparing himself for what Blaine's mother would bring upon the table later.
He loved the man no doubt, but a baby is just not something they need right now. Both of them were too busy fooling government officials to be changing diapers and making baby noises.
Peter would just have to tell Blaine's mother that she is going to have to find another option because neither Peter nor Blaine will be raising a child.
At the end of the day, Peter felt utterly drained of any energy left. Micheal dumped a huge pile of paperwork on his desk and he hadn't been given any time to stretch his back or drink a sip of water.
When the clock struck 6 he almost cried in relief. Why is he doing this? His husband has enough money to last them a lifetime. He could be sitting at home with a champagne glass in his hands by the pool relaxing as any trophy husband should.
But alas, he was important to their operation. They needed him to be apart of this. And he would do anything for Blaine as long as it's in his power. He is all Peter has right now and he will not lose him.
Grabbing his phone he sent a quick text to Blaine telling him he would be leaving the office soon and meeting them in the restaurant.
'What do you have planned tonight, Dunkin?' Anya asked from behind her desk as she seemed to still be working on something.
'Just going to go back to the lover, plan a murder, hide a body. The usual.' Peter joked with a smirk and collected his things into his bag.
'Well make sure you hide that body well. Would'nt want someone digging up another case for us to work on.' Anya added to their laughs.
Peter laughed along but it really wasn't that untrue, except Blaine had men to help hide bodies for them.
'See ya, Jen.'
'See ya.'
Peter slammed the car door shut when he pulled into the garage and immediately it seems like the house had a different presence looming around it. He loved Blaine's family but sometimes they can get rather intimidating and Peter just preferred to be surrounded by calm and soft energy. Like Blaine.
When Peter walked into the house he could already smell the perfume of Evelyn Ash, Blaine's mother around the room. It smelt of expensive floral scent with a hint of musk.
'Honey?'
Peter heard Blaine's voice before the dining room came into view.
'I'm home.' Peter said and placed his keys and wallet by the kitchen counter before joining them on the table.
He saw Evelyn first who set next to Blaine at the dining table. She was dressed head to toe in bright red. Evelyn was a beautiful woman with dark mahogany skin that flowed and reflected the yellow light in the room, complementing the tones. She stares with black sparkling pupils that sit in almond-shaped eyes.
Her hair had soft black coils and was styled big and voluminous atop her head. There was truly nothing more beautiful than the goddess that bared his partner.
As beautiful and gorgeous she was, she had the personality to match. Elegant, intimidating, and headstrong. She sees what she wants and she gets it.
Nothing less coming from the previous leader of Montana Cartel.
'My sweetheart, come here!' Evelyn smiled and stood up to go give Peter a hug and a kiss on his cheeks.
'Evelyn, good to see you. Where's Caden?' Peter asked referring to Blaine's father who he doesn't see.
'He's busy with the Torut investors. You know that man, always busy. I can only hope my baby Blaine doesn't turn out like that.' Evelyn turned and they all took a seat at the table.
'Hi, baby.' Peter kissed Blaine's forehead and sat down next to him.
'How have my darlings been?' the women asked and took a bite out of the chicken Sloan had prepared.
'As I told you, mama, we are doing great.' Blaine replied and sip on his champaign.
'You see I love you but I don't trust a word you say, Blaine. Just like your father you two think you can handle everything and keep it bottled in. Peter, you tell me.' she said leaning back on her chair and turned her attention to Peter who chuckled at her words.
Blaine rolled his eyes and continued eating his dinner.
'He's right, Evelyn. We've been doing well. Everything at the station is going as planned and the last shipment is set to arrive in the next month. It's going great.' Peter explained.
'That's wonderful. Seems like everything is going well right now.' Evelyn set her hands to hold Blaine's on the table with a suggestive look in her eyes. Her eyes held hope and happiness.
Blaine moved his eyes to look at Peter to see he was busy eating his dinner with his eyes cast down. He knew Peter knew what was about to happen with his mother and the last time this conversation was brought up the two ended up in a fight.
Evelyn threw a shoe at Peter and Peter raised his voice at the women. It was an ugly sight and he didn't want to go through that again.
Evelyn loved Peter and couldn't have hoped for more on her son's happiness. Also, Peter's connection with law enforcement was a big help towards their endeavors so she couldn't be more grateful. But he could take it a step further and gave her the one thing that was most important.
A baby. An heir.
'So Peter, I'm sure you know the reason for my visit.' Evelyn started.
'To check up on your beloved son and son-in-law?' Peter asked sarcastically. Of course, he knew.
'Yes, of course. You know I worry about you two the most.' she replied. 'But also-'
'Evelyn, it's really been a tiring day for me. Micheal hasn't been the most lenient.' Peter smiled at Evelyn who looked annoyed at being interrupted.
'Darling, just listen to what she has to say.' Blaine spoke softly and caressed Peter's fingers and gave him a reassuring look.
'No, Blaine. He's right. Let's not bring that up now. Today is a good day. Let's celebrate everything going well.' Evelyn said.
'You can talk to us, Mama. It's fine. Peter Will listen.' Blaine said. He was really trying to keep the two happy and calm as long as he could.
His mother was right and he tends to keep things bottled up and his work hasn't been the easiest either. He is tired and he wasn't in the mood for any arguments or fights to break out between the two.
He had something big planned for Peter and him tonight and it involved some handcuffs and no mothers.
'I will listen if it involves anything but what you are about to talk about.'
'Pete, please. Just stop.' Blaine begged.
'No, why don't you ask her to stop?'
'Oh come on. It's a baby. I'm not asking you to sacrifice your life.' Evelyn threw her hands up dramatically.
'What do you think a baby is? It is basically a life sentence.' Peter said with furrowed brows as he leaned in to stare back at the woman.
Blaine looked at the two dramatic loved ones in his life. Both headstrong and persistent. Everything Blaine loved about his mother, he found in Peter. Which was the reason they both got along so well at the start. But when it comes to the topic they disagreed on, it turns into a tornado and no one can put a stop to it but them.
'Why are you so against this? My family's business has gone on for more than 10 generations and you really think you have a say on whether this continues.' she exclaimed.
'I'm not asking you to end anything. I'm just saying it won't continue with us. Blaine has cousins. Get one of their kids to do it.'
'Firstborns! The firstborn of each household must take on the role. My mother was firstborn. I am firstborn. And Blaine is my firstborn. How many times must I explain this?' Evelyn explained.
Blaine sighed and looked at Peter.
'Sweetheart, you said you would think about this remember? What did you decide?' Blaine said. He made sure to rub his fingers on Peter's hands to calm him down.
'My answer is no.' Peter said. He sounded confident but unbeknown to the two at the table. Peter hasn't really finished thinking over this.
It was a big decision and he had always had a straightforward answer. But ever since Blaine told him that he wouldn't mind having a kid, it has made Peter realize that he could possibly be preventing Blaine a choice to have a child of his own.
Was it selfish of him to do so? Or was it perfectly rational? It was a huge decision. If Blaine really wanted kids, he would have brought it up before all this. It was only after his mother's pressure that Blaine started bringing it up to Peter.
Or was Peter just not paying enough attention to things?
'Well I didn't want it to come to this but this will not be a decision made by you two. I merely am giving you the respect of asking. But your grandmother will be making the final choice and I will hear non of it.' Evelyn said and resumed her dinner.
'Excuse me?' Peter exclaimed.
'Babe,' Blaine hushed. 'What are you saying, Mama?'
'Blaine, you know I will defend you in everything and I have done so. But this is not something I am able to change the minds of the elders on. And frankly, I find that I agree with them on this.' she continued.
'Your grandmother had concerns of when you two got together for this very reason that an heir would be a complicated endeavor. But that can be easily solved with technology. We have found a center that can implant both of your DNA into a fetus and -'
'Wow, hold the f**k up!' Peter exclaimed and stood up. Even Blaine stared at his mother in shock.
'We are not agreeing to this! That's insane!' Peter shouted.
'Peter, calm down.'
'Would you rather just Blaine's DNA then? Because that would be a much easier process and less costly as well.' Evelyn chuckled even though money really isn't a big deal in this.
'Are you not hearing me? I said no! We aren't having a baby, Evelyn!'
'Well, are you not hearing me when I said, that is not your decision to make, Peter. We need an heir and we will be going through with this no matter the consequences. Even if we have to go against you, which I can assure you they have no problem doing that.'
'Yeah? Ever thought about how your entire operation would have come crumbling down if it wasn't for me derailing the police?'
'And what does that have anything to do with this?'
'Don't make me do what I don't want to do.'
'Is that a threat?' Evelyn stood up and leaned forward.
'Maybe.'
'Your words.'
'I've had years of experience with threats, you don't want to go there.'
'Enough!' Blaine slammed his fist on the table and joined them both, standing up.
'No one is threatening anyone. We will figure this out like civil beings. But not tonight. I'm sure we are all tired. Mama just got off a flight and Peter and I had a long day of work.' Blaine explained.
'Let's all just go to bed.'
After, Blaine turned and walked off. He was angry at the situation because he didn't know what to do as well and he didn't want to cross the two people he loved most in the world.
Both Peter and Evelyn jumped at the sound of the door slamming shut hard upstairs, echoing around the house.
'Great. You made him angry. Now I have to go suck his d**k to calm him down.' Peter threw the napkin on the table and turned to go meet his angry husband in their room, leaving Evelyn standing by herself at the table.
