The Wolf Blood Comes to the Surface

1305 Words
Julia stood facing into the corner so whoever entered could not see who she was.  She steadied herself as her heart began racing hearing steps behind her but not really footsteps.  She heard panting and could smell the werewolf that in her room.  She knew that they would not recognize her, and she turned around to face a giant beast.  He stood tall as the door with white fur with tanned/black tips.  His brown eyes piercing hers and his teeth bared daring her to make a move. She did not let the fear show on her face as she dropped the knife into her hand and skillfully threw it toward his heart.  With that single motion something started happening in her body, her bones felt soft and loose and she could no longer stand dropping to all fours.  She felt a great pain in her mouth and looked down to see her hands had molded into paws. ‘What in the world’ she thought to herself, but she had no control over what was happening to her.  Her gown shredded as she grew, and her eyes became clearer and her hearing became clearer.  She could feel the breath enter her lungs and the smells were almost overwhelming.  To her it was all an out of body experience, she was just watching all this stuff happen to her from the inside. The werewolf that she had thrown the knife at was watching with wonder no longer in attack mode. He seemed just as astonished as she felt. She stood in front of him in all her werewolf glory, much taller than him with sharp green eyes with blue black fur.  They looked at each other and Julia was certain she was not in control of anything anymore.  The wolf she had become lunged at the stunned werewolf in front of her and tore his throat out in one fast swoop.  The taste of blood on her tongue made her want more.  She exited the room and began trotting down the hallway toward the fighting in the great room.  Idean was fighting fiercely but was losing to Thomas.  Julia’s werewolf entered the room towering over any other werewolf there and began attacking werewolves and witches.  Easily taking them out one or two at a time.  She was making her way toward Idean who was fighting for his life. Thomas was going in for the final blow and Julia’s wolf attacked him, sending them both to the floor. She was on top of him looking at him with her piercing green eyes filled with hatred.  He looked back at her with his black eyes and knew that he did not know this wolf.  She went in for the kill going for his head, but he held her jaw open and pushed her off him.  She was on the floor just getting up when lashes came down on her tearing her skin wide open along her flank.  She turned toward the direction they came from and saw the Warlock with a magic whip and he swung again and entrapped her neck pulling her head to the floor.  She struggled but could not break the bond.  Thomas walked up to her looking at her cautiously, he was not sure he wanted this wolf dead.  He wanted to know about it, it was obviously powerful.  He held his hand up “Bring this one down to the dungeon, and lock her up tight.” He turned back toward Idean who was still lying on the floor.  He turned him over and put his knee in his back and pulled his head, using one movement he pulled Idean’s head off his body.  He walked over to the throne and picked up Vlad’s head and held them both up together.  “I am the King of both realms.  You will bow to my power and rein.  Those of you who do not will die.” He paused for a moment and all the fighting has stopped and everyone was looking at him.  Thomas used his shadow power to lift himself up higher. “I want Princess Delilah. Bring her to me.” “She is gone your Majesty.” One of his witches told him even though she was fearful for her own life in saying so. Thomas and the Warlock made their way to her bedroom.  They saw Julia’s dress on the floor and Delilah’s dress shredded on the floor.  The dead man on the floor was the werewolf that Julia had killed first. Thomas stood there for a moment looking at all the evidence. “I think Delilah is that wolf. I think she shifted” Thomas said bending down to pick up a piece of the torn clothing on the floor.  “She would lose the baby if she shifted now.  It can’t be her.” The Warlock stated. “Well, we are going to find out about that.” Thomas turned abruptly and made his way down toward the dungeon where the giant wolf was brought. Julias’ Wolf was tied up with magic and unable to move so she just lied there not moving. She heard Thomas walk in the cell but she was unafraid. He could not hurt her anymore than she already was hurting with her daughter and her mate gone.  She only hoped that her still living stopped him from looking for Delilah and giving her a chance to get away.  Thomas pulled out a long silver knife and stabbed the wolf in the gut and then pulled it up to her chest allowing her insides to fall out and no baby came out.  The wolf breathed its last breath and the slowly changed back into Julia.  She lay there naked and gutted on the floor.  Thomas was astonished at what he just witnessed.  He threw the knife down and walked back out of the cell.  “I need every single person out looking for Princess Delilah.  NOW!” He screamed as he walked through the Fairy Palace “Nobody get’s any rest until she is returned to me.”  He walked out on the balcony that served the great room and saw the sun rising.  He spread his big black wings and took off flying toward the Vampire Palace.  He wanted to make sure she had not gone home. After weeks of endless searching Thomas and his Warlock were discussing options. “The white witch of the south has been gone for a couple of weeks.  I think she may have helped her escape. With nobody seeing anything and you killed the one person who maybe saw her last we have no leads.” “Have there been any leads on the Prince?  He was not even seen at the war.”  Thomas asked. “No, nothing, it’s like he vanished into thin air.  All of his weapons are here, his horse was here if he’s out there he has nothing with him.” The Warlock stated. “I think this White Witch needs to be brought in to answer some questions. Where do you suppose she would come back to if she had gone to another realm if she needed to use a portal?” Thomas asked. “The easiest one is the one in the western mountains.  That one services several realms so we would not know which realm she was coming back from.” The Warlock stated as a matter-of-factly. “We are going to set a camp there and watch it.  If she comes through, she can be captured and brought to me.” Thomas indicated this was the end of the discussion and it was too be done.
