[Violet] Our little escape led us to an abandoned shop of some sort. Dust coated the display cases, and half the shelves had collapsed inward. From the way the ceiling had caved in, it was no wonder the place had been abandoned. The broken windows were already barricaded and there was a door that led into some sort of underground basement. Aside from the occasional drop of water from a leaking pipe somewhere inside the walls, I could hear the sound of Lucien's strained breathing as he lay across a patchwork of newspapers.
