Chapter 33 The next morning, Esther had been up for hours before Harry stirred. She made him ugali and greens. He tried to dig in but couldn’t manage it. He should have been famished and well on his way to feeling refreshed, but he was still down. He liked her coffee, though. It was the same brand he’d been using, the same water. When he asked her what was different, she explained that she put crushed eggshells in the bottom of the pot. Bea had bothered to hold some back from Gabriel’s garbage collection. He finally confronted Esther with, “What’s going on with Aldo? I can’t believe you haven’t heard from him.
