Chapter 20Jasper slides his key into the lock at the front door of their apartment and tiptoes inside. With any luck, no one will even know he’d not come home last night.
“Well, would you look at what the cat dragged in?” Blake’s smug voice echoes through the silent house.

“Since when are you awake this early?”
“I haven’t slept.” Blake leans back in the lounge chair with his coffee. “You weren’t home when I got back so I’ve been kinda waiting up for you. Never thought I’d see you do the walk of shame.”
Jasper gives a sly smile, though avoiding eye contact. “I’m not.”
“So, you weren’t out with your mystery lover?”
