Chapter 77 Clara's POV I was drowning. No, I felt like I couldn't breathe. My lungs felt like a ton of bricks were weighing them down, my throat was as dry as a desert and my eyes remained closed, no matter how much I tried to blink. I could hear the incessant beeping of something beside me, the sound so rhythmic that it was irritating. Amidst the beeping noise, I couldn't seem to focus on my thoughts. They kept drifting in and out, temporarily shut down for a few brutal seconds and then came back up again. I knew there was something that was so important I needed to remember.
