Chapter 1: Her First Job in a New City
Megan starts a new journey, but first needs a job. She scours the city till she finds a lovely little dinner. The owner is in desperate need of a waitress. Thinking to herself, she seems like a nice older man. All he needs is a bit of help in the right direction. She just so happens to have plenty of experience. After a brief interview and paperwork, it felt like forever. Finally, she has a job. Not only does she have a job, but was told about a vacant apartment. Once settled into her apartment, the homeowner gave her a generous amount of time to have rent ready. Finally, a job and, just so happens, a place to stay as well. After a few rather busy shifts, she has enough to get a proper uniform. She goes to a*****e she had been recommended and quickly gathers a few conservative ones. Once she has all the necessities, she heads back to her apartment. Where she bumps into a rather tall man. He rudely pushes her. Looking at him for a second, he is very handsome. However, that doesn't give an excuse to be so rude. Thinking the men in this city must think so well of themselves. She brushes it off, not wanting to waste another second on that snob. Finally, her bed, which is the only comfort in this city. Once she hits the shower, she washes the day away. She thinks to herself, if I can stick with this job she could possibly afford college. But first things first, a new hairstyle. Her hair had gotten so long, it's a bit unmanageable. Her wavy hair looks so radiant in the night lights. The following day, she notices people glancing at her. Her customer tells her its a nice haircut. With a rather lustful grin. She doesn't let it bother her much, considering he's three times her age. Later that day, she speaks to her boss about promoting business. She suggests that they make a special dessert to start off. He seems to think it'd be a good idea. As long as she does most of the prep, of course. She ends up staying about two hours longer than planned. However, in the long run, it means better business. AKA better tips. She looks over all her hard work, and is pleased with herself. After a long day, she goes to her little apartment. Only to see fire trucks surrounding the place. All her clothes, money she had saved, and her bed were gone.
