Chapter 10: Perfecting his plan

Did he mention how he reacted the first time he this lady almost threw herself at him? It was exactly one week ago, the same day that the board meeting was conducted.

He was actually surprised to see her as he never expected her or even any of the board members to visit him. Because she came too strong at him, he had been slightly afraid of her, not just slightly, he was really afraid. He almost screwed up by showing the real him that hides inside a new skin as fear engulfed his whole being while he began to fidget and for a moment, he thought his panic attack was going to start right at that moment as his knees threatened to fail him too.

But thanks to his assistant, he was able to avert all the troubles that could've resulted from his weakness. Infact he would forever hold this assistant dear to his heart because if not for his quick action, all his pretense to be another person would've come to the light. Imagine what could have gone down if this green snake of a lady had gotten a whiff of this piece of information; his secret?. What he's been trying so hard to cause would've happened.

For the first time since he found himself in this unknown kingdom, he was proud of his so called assistant when he stood up and said politely, "Sorry to distespect you ma'am but we're actually on our way out so as not to be late for Mr. August's next meeting"

August knew that his assistant was lying but he was doing it for him. So in order to back it up because for a reason unknown to him, he believed that the lady wouldn't trust his assistant's words, he summoned the courage as he gathered his uneven breath and stood upright before saying coldly to his assistant, "Let's go"

Where he got the courage, he couldn't tell. He just knew that he did it and without wasting a second after this two words left his mouth, he headed for the door with a determined steps; heavens they said, helped those who helped themselves.

The lady stomped her heels on the floor angrily with her lips pressed together and for a second, August feared that she wasn't going to let him go. However, he was totally wrong as the lady gave way for them to pass after seconds of a quick consideration.

Now looking at her one week later while she hugged his body tightly, he wondered how he was going to escape from her clutches this time around.

After escaping from her successfully that day, Canon had briefed him about the lady and her relationship with the previous August.

She was someone that the previous August didn't like but for some reason known to only him, he couldn't hurt her.

"Before you lost your memories sir, she was the only one that  could act anyhow around you and go scot free. Even though she was obsessed with you, you never paid her attention but yet, you allowed all the evil deeds that she was doing behind you. And this resulted in many rumors flowing around the company. Although they dare not say it to your hearings, but it has always been rumoured by the staffs that you love her so much but couldn't accept her deceptive and conniving ways that's why you could neither touch her not harm her. She's believed to be so dear to you but we don't know why and it is only you that can remember why" Canon explained.

Hearing this made August to roll his eyes because their cold boss was dead and that rumor can never be known.

"Please don't keep mute my darling, let's just hang out with me today, ok?" The green snake lady's pleading voice sent August out of his jumbled head. He widened his eyes with a shiver running down his spine as she whispers close to his ear, "My body longs for your sexy touches so much and I can't wait to be in your strong arms while we do crazy things to each other. Don't you want that sweetheart?"

August didn't know what to say or how to react so he silently begged the only person that could save him to intervene. But to his surprise, his good Samaritan that was supposed to be his assistant decided to excuse himself instead.

"I will be outside sir" Canon said before walking out of the room in a hurried steps as if something was chasing him away. Canon didn't want to disturb his boss's business at all. He'd already briefed him about the lady so it's up to him to either embrace her or throw her away. How was he suppose to remain there when his Boss was blushing so hard? He clearly liked her touch and whether he returns or shuns her touches, it was his business. He will just wait outside for his Boss.

"That fool" August gritted his teeth silently. "You finally left my side, right? Just watch what will happen!!"

"Please my love answer me" Mira persisted desperately. "I have been waiting for you for like forever please bestow me this honor, hm?"

"Okay" August finally accepts with his voice sounding a little incoherent.

"What?" The lady questioned just to be sure of what she heard.

"L-let's go out" August stuttered for the first time in front of her.

Interesting, she chirped inwardly.

Upon stepping out of his office, August's curiously searched for his assistant but he was nowhere to be found. He nodded his head excitedly as he proceeded towards the elevator with Mira's arm hanging on his.

This is just the perfect time to execute all his laid down plans, he must grab this opportunity and escape from here to a far place.

There was nothing that would hinder him from escaping today. No clingy assistant in sight simply implies that his plans was about to be perfected. Getting away from this sly lady shouldn't be a problem at all.

Like the best couple in town, the two walked closedly with their arms entwined. The lady swayed her hips beautifully with her killer curves in full display while the gentleman walked majestically and it would take a closer look to discover that though his sexy steps looked deceivingly accurate, he was on alert; he was looking out for his clingy assistant. Canon might appear at anytime but when that happens, he was ready to throw all caution into the air as he flares from this premises as fast as possible.

"What is it my love?" Mira asked noticing the slight stiffness from August.

"Nothing" August assured as the elevator opened for them. They stepped in and pressed the grand floor button.

While the elevator was slowly sending them down, August's brain was busy calculating how to escape from this fox lady with him.

The elevator finally opened with a 'ding' sound with August having no slightest idea on how to free himself from the lady that has entangled herself with him.

The restroom, he could actually use it as an excuse right? Yes of course!

As they stepped out from the elevator, August slowly lowered his head as he whispered to her ear. "I will be right back"

"Where are you going to?" She whined unhappily.

"To ease myself" August said through gritted teeth. Must I give you the reason?

Indeed he had to judging from the way she finally released her arm around his upon his made up excuse.

He thanked his stars in his heart as he slowly made his way towards the restroom, a restroom that turned out to be the back door.

In order to make sure that his plans didn't fail, August asked his assistant to tour him around the whole building.

Canon was happy do so to the extent that he also showed the secret back door.

Immediately he was out of Mira's sight, he turned and strided towards the corridor that led to the back door. And as he approached the door, he breathed out a heavy breath before turning the doorknob.

There was some security guys at the door post but he was the Boss here, right? With this realization there to motivate him, the nervousness that washed over him slowly dissipated as the determination to escape became stronger.
