Sometimes, we just need a little guidance to find our way." Tevi left the bookstore, feeling a sense of renewed purpose. She spent the rest of the day reading "The Artist's Way", and was struck by the wisdom and insight that Julia Cameron shared. As she read, Tevi realized that she had been putting too much pressure on herself. She had been trying to write the perfect novel, instead of just enjoying the process. She felt a sense of relief wash over her, and knew that she needed to make some changes. The next day, Tevi started a new writing routine. She began by writing morning pages, a practice that Julia Cameron recommended. She wrote whatever came to mind, without editing or censoring herself. As she wrote, Tevi felt a sense of freedom that she had never experienced before. She was no longer worried about writing the perfect sentence, or creating a perfect character. She was just writing for the sake of writing. The days turned into weeks, and Tevi found herself making progress on her novel. She was writing more regularly, and the words were flowing more easily. She felt a sense of excitement and anticipation, knowing that she was creating something special. But just as things were going well, Tevi received an email from her publisher. They were interested in publishing her novel, but they wanted her to make some significant changes. Tevi was torn. On the one hand, she was excited about the opportunity to publish her work. On the other hand, she was worried about compromising her artistic vision. Tevi was taken aback by the publisher's email. She had been expecting a simple "yes" or "no" answer, but instead, they were asking her to make significant changes to her novel. She felt a sense of unease, wondering if she was willing to compromise her artistic vision. The publisher's email outlined several areas of concern, including the pacing, character development, and plot twists. Tevi read through the list, feeling a sense of defensiveness. She had poured her heart and soul into her novel, and she didn't want to change it to suit someone else's tastes. But as she read through the email again, Tevi began to see the publisher's point. They were trying to help her create a better book, one that would appeal to a wider audience. She started to feel a sense of excitement, realizing that this was an opportunity to make her novel even better. Tevi decided to take a few days to think about the publisher's suggestions.
