909 Words
The night was dark, with not sight of the moon or the stars. Marsh3ll has not been able to sleep for the past three days, suffering from nightmares and bad headaches. This restless nights made his life a living nightmare. All he could hear was a man’s voice and see red eyes but when he turned on the lights, there was nothing there. Frustration made him anxious and angry because he could not understand what was happening to him One night as he was sitting on his bed, he heard the voice, calling out his name. The voice was deep and it sounded like a demon’s voice. He finally build up the courage to ask who it was that was calling him.   Khagura: “My name is Khagura. I have been with you since the day you were born. I am a friend and I am here to help you become the best person you can be.” Marsh3ll: “Stop lying. You did not come here for that. You are nothing but a demon here to make my life a living hell. Am I right?” Khagura: “You are right. I am a demon but I am not here to make your life a living hell. I am here because you are special.” Marsh3ll: “Special in which way?” Khagura: “Special in a way that you did not die when I entered your body. Special in a way that the more we have been together you have become stronger and your powers have been growing in a rate that even I am amazed with. My subordinates praise you every time they see you. You are the future to their past and their king. No, you are their god.” Marsh3ll: “This makes no sense…” He pauses then continues to say… “How can someone like me become a king better yet a god? I am merely a commoner with no father or family statues.” Khagura: “A king is not born. My dear friend, a king is made. Do you want to be king?” Marsh3ll pauses for half a minute then looks at the darkness that was in his room, thinking about the life he has and the fact that he want to change it. Marsh3ll: “How will you make me king. Better yet, I want to see who I am talking to.” Without hearing a word from Khagura, Marsh3ll started to feel a burning sensation in his eyes. He even started to hear scratching sound, the louder the sound become the more painful his eyes and ears become. Screaming in pain, he shouted Please stop, what are you doing to me? Khagura: “I need you to relax, the more you fight it the more painful it will get. Just think of something soothing or just listen to my voice.” Marsh3ll did what Khagura suggested and soon after he become relaxed. The pain in his eyes and ears started to fade until he saw something that made wish he did not see. A dark red smoke started to form at the corner of the room. But that was not what made Marsh3ll become fearful. The aura that surrounded the smoke made him feel like pissing his pants. That was the demonic energy that Khagura released and it was indeed frightening. Before Marsh3ll could react, a figure grabbed his attention. It was a figure that could make any man was to cry to his mother. That figure that emerged from the smoke had a skeleton head with red eyes. Its body was covered by huge Armor and the smoke was emerging from the inside of the Armor. Khagura knew Marsh3ll’s personality and he also knew that Marsh3ll will not sign a contract with him, without seeing his true form. Khagura: “As you can see, I am not all talk. I can make you into a king.” Marsh3ll with a smirk on his face: “Even if you look like a working corpse. Do you really think I would agree to work with you? Beside what kind of arrangement will we have? Will I be just a tool for you or will we be partners? Before you answer me, I just want to let you know that I will not accept anything without knowing that I will have full control over this body and actions. We can arrange a way us to discuss matters before we put them to action. Do you agree with my terms?” Khagura: “I agree to your terms. I wouldn’t have it any way else.” Marsh3ll: “You said you have subordinates. How many are there?” Khagura: “I have… no wait wrong wording… we have 30 demon subordinates.” Marsh3ll: “how strong are they in comparison to humans?” Khagura: “Each demon’s strength in comparison to humans is about the strength of 300 human soldiers per demon.” Marsh3ll: “Great. We have a deal.” They both shake hands in agreement and Khagura told Marsh3ll that in the morning the mark of the demon of war will for on his back, it will be to snakes. Marsh3ll frowned in hearing this then told Khagura that it should be a lion with a crown on its head. Khagura nodded in agreement.
