CHAPTER 9: THE KINGDOM OF T’A

971 Words
The road to T’a was long and tiring. As the three men were discussing ways in which they can succeed in making Marsh3ll the new king of hell or even finding Sathane. Their plan was simple, first they have to obtain the throne of T’a then move on to near kingdoms. Secondly, they need to find any books related to hell and how to get a human in there without having them die. They ended their discussion with a decision to find as many books as they could possibly get, in order for Marsh3ll to learn more about this place. As they reached the kingdom of T’a their current plan was put in to action. Everyone was in their selected place and were waiting for Marsh3ll’s orders. But before Marsh3ll could give out the order, he was amazed to see what the kingdom looked like. The villages near the kingdom gates were stricken with poverty, the houses were run down, the children and animals were malnutrition and the old were slowly dying from hunger. There were no food tents and most of the shop did not have much to sell and the things they had to sell were very expensive. It was a living nightmare. This nightmare gave Marsh3ll new perspective on why he should become king of this kingdom. And to find out why the king would treat his people in this manner. It pained him to see people like this as he too knew what it felt like to go a day or two without food. But this was too much. The people did not deserve such treatment. Khagura could feel Marsh3ll’s emotions change and he knew that this boy was the best decision he has ever made. The farther he travelled through the kingdom, the more he noticed that the scenery was changing. As the houses started to look much more different from the once he saw before. There were less homeless people in the streets and the market place had more food to sell. Even though the food were still expensive, there were variety to what was sold. This puzzled Marsh3ll as he could not understand why this was happening. The closer he got to the palace, the more annoyed he got as he saw how the scenery changed so drastically. The people wore clothes that looked expensive, the animals looked healthy and there were no homeless people on the street. Blq quickly asked Marsh3ll to follow him. They went to a nearby house, were they all changed clothes in order to blend in with the minority. They rested for a while and even went through their plans to see if anything had to change. The plan was still ongoing but the only changes they made was to capture the King and interrogate him to find out what his main plan was, and why his people was starving to death. Blq gave Marsh3ll an update… Apparently there are two kings ruling this land. One is king Boroko, who is the one all people know and the other is his advisor who is pulling all the strings and his name is Rantja. These two have been working together to destroy and take all the riches from this land. Charging the people high taxes that they can’t afford, forcefully taking lands etc. Marsh3ll: “Well this is just bad. And no one is doing anything about it?” Blq: “Yes. Who will you report to about the king? He makes the rule and the people have to follow it.” Marsh3ll: “And the law about ‘you keep what you kill?” Blq: “Well that law. It was instigated by Boroko when he needed a reason for the horrible thing he was doing to the people, which is when he announced the new law to justify his actions.” Marsh3ll: “So the law applies to everyone or just him?” Blq: “Well no one has ever tried to take what belongs to other in that manner but I do believe it can apply to those who use it. Even these rich people living on this side of the kingdom have killed others to have what the person owned.” Marsh3ll: “Well that settles that, we use the same method they use on others. I will kill both the kings, publically so that the people will know you will be taking over the kingdom after them.” Blq: “Excellent. That is how this law works. People fight to the death and the winner keeps what he has killed, the property, wife, children and wealth.” Marsh3ll: “I do not want that i***t’s family but I will keep his wealth and property.” Blq: “The sooner we get a hold of the crown, the sooner we can know what secrets the king has in that palace.” Marsh3ll & Khagura: “This sounds like fun. Get the men ready. It is time to move into our new home.” Blq: “The army is ready to move in and by the way, the king of S’laja is reported to be ready to attack the small village near our home village. So the sooner we get the throne the better for the people living in that area.” Marsh3ll: “Right then. The palace gate is 15 minute away. With ten guards in front and fifty inside. So kill whatever tries to stop you.”  Blq: “Sir, your father is working for the king, and he is inside the palace gates. What should we do when we see him?” Marsh3ll: “If he tries to stop you, kill him.” Blq: “Understood.”
