Early the following morning, there’s a light knock at my door. “Just a minute,” I call out. I slide out of bed with a groan. I glance down at what I’m wearing, double checking that I’m at least half decent before stumbling to the door. Grayson stands on the other side of the door, fully dressed and ready to start the day. The corner of his mouth lifts as he takes in the sight of me. I’m a complete mess, I’m sure of it. “Good morning,” he says. “Morning.” His eyes run down the length of my body before coming back up to meet my gaze. “Rough morning?” he asks. “Just woke up, actually.” He chuckles. “My mom wants us to meet her in her office.” My eyes widen. “When?” “Whenever you’re ready.” “Give me ten minutes.” He nods. “I’ll wait out here until you’re done.” I close the bedroom
