EVA
Eva bade Annie goodbye and watched her get into the car while strolling back to the hospital wards absentmindedly. Just as she was about to open the door, she heard her parents discussing, so she just stood and eavesdropped.
“The company will declare bankruptcy tomorrow, and we will have to leave the house to a smaller home. I am planning to sell it so I can pay for hospital bills and some other things,” her dad’s voice sounded.
Then her mother whimpered a little. “That unfilial son of mine, how could he do this to us? We gave him the best while growing up.”
“Don’t cry, I already sent people out to look for him… it is just that my heart feels really heavy when I know my company will be no more. But it’s fine as long as I have you and Princess by my side,” Mr. Whitney who had calmed down at this point consoled.
Tears rolled down her ears, her heart breaking into several pieces. She knew how attached her dad is to the company, and he would be nothing but sad seeing that his child ran away with his wealth, leaving him in debts and on the verge of declaring bankruptcy. The naive Eva vowed to do anything so that her father wouldn’t declare bankruptcy the next day.
After some minutes of adjusting her emotions, she smiled and entered the ward, informed her parents that she was going home as it was her dad that was staying with her mom that night, and bid them farewell with a kiss on both of their cheeks.
Eva indeed went home, but she went to change her clothes. Looking at the reflection in the mirror, she sighed. The reflection staring back at her was a girl in a bold red dress, her lips colored brightly, and her long hair cascading her shoulders, covering her exposed back. She looked hot, sexy, and mesmerizing, but her heart was numb.
she braved up,she doesn’t even want to inform Anna that is her best friend.
She smiled gently at her reflection and gently picked up the call that had been ringing for a while.
“I saw your text. Is it true you agree to drink with me this night?” A male voice sounded.
“Just two glasses, Aiden.”
The man on the phone chuckled. “You don’t have a say, Eva. Your family is on the verge of bankruptcy… you are no longer the high and mighty Eva. Drink with me, then I will settle your dad’s debt. Meet me in Red Blues.”
Indeed, she was no longer the high and mighty Eva. She sighed and replied, “Okay,” and hung up the call.
The person on the call was Aiden, a second-generation heir. His family is the third richest in the country, but he is an asshole, a big one.
Placing her hand over her chest, Eva convinced herself, “It’s only a drink. Be calm.”

Eva arrived at Red Blues, and she was directed to a VIP section. She opened the door, and she was surprised at the number of people inside. Immediately, she got cold feet and a bad feeling.
Aiden, who was surrounded by everyone, looked at her alongside everyone and beckoned to her.
Eva gathered her courage while chanting a mantra in her head. Everyone was silent, and only the sounds of her heels against the floor were heard. She walked towards Aiden and sat down beside him while gently making a space between them.
Aiden declared in a loud voice, “Everyone, this is Eva, the fallen heiress!”
The room was suddenly filled with laughter, and Eva clenched her fists tightly, trying so hard to keep calm while repeating the mantra of “I am doing this for Dad” in her head.
A guy with red hair dropped a glass of wine in front of her and said, chuckling, “Come on, fallen heiress, have a drink.”
The whole room’s gaze settled on her afterward, and she felt so repulsed by the atmosphere. She, a treasure in the hands of her parents, had been reduced to a subject of mockery.
“I must say, you look good, Eva… not expecting this much from a fallen heiress,” Aiden jabbed at her once again.
To hide the red in the rims of her eyes, she downed the glass in one gulp, and they started cheering. She must confess, this was the first alcohol she had ever tasted in her 21 years of life.
She glanced at the room. While some were gazing at her with amusement, some with desire, and some with loathing, she was reduced to a spectacle. Laughing bitterly in her mind, she gulped down more glasses maniacally, wanting nothing more than to drink and get out of this ridiculous gathering.
From the initial cheers to total silence, they watched her gulp one cup after another.
Eva stood up wobbly and addressed Aiden.
“I already fulfilled my end of the bargain. Fulfill yours.”
“Oh my darling Eva, you are so naive,” Aiden stood up and gave her a wicked smile.
“Wha…t do you mean naive?” Eva, who was already drunk to the core, asked, but Aiden did not reply her. Instead, he leaned closer to her, moved her hair that was covering her back a little, and whispered in her ears, “You will be mine tonight, bitch.”
All alarms rang out in Eva’s head. She had been deceived. Before anyone in the room could process what was going on, she grabbed a bottle and slammed it on Aiden’s head while quickly making her exit.
Aiden held his wounded head and screamed in anger, “Get that bitchhhh!”
All hell let loose, and while Aiden’s bodyguards and his friends chased after Eva, some stayed behind to take care of Aiden’s injury.
Eva had not been more scared her whole life. She looked back and saw one of the bodyguards closing in on her. Her legs became wobbly, her mind already hazy from the alcohol she drank. All that was left in her head was: Don’t let them catch you. And indeed, she felt like dying when she fell and rolled.
She closed her eyes and furrowed her brows in pain, her whole body aching at this point. Opening her eyes, she saw a leg in front of her and gently glanced up.
She was scared shitless when she recognized him as…..
