Prologue
“I don’t love you! Why can’t you understand and accept that? And I will never… ever.. love you! Stop pushing yourself to me! God damn it! I really don’t know if you can’t just understand a simple thing or you’re plain stupid. I only want Angelie and I will only love her, not YOU! Sebastian shouted that in Samantha’s face after he threw all the food that she prepared for him.
But he suddenly stopped when he saw tears flow down from her eyes. He felt coldness in his body upon seeing her teary eyes.
He did not expect her to cry. She was never a cry baby. He never saw her cry even once since they were a child. He is bewildered as well as he observes her clutching, her chest like she is in pain.
“D-d-don’t worry Seb, I will stop now”, she uttered the words like she was in pain.
He was shocked when he heard that from her. He did not expect her to give as easily like she used to do. He does not like what he feels after he hears that.
“Are you okay?” He tried to reach her and hold on to her arm, but she refused and backed away.
“D-don’t! Don’t touch me” she cried more after saying that. His heart twitched with her words and actions. She keeps on clutching her chest like she is having difficulty in breathing.
“I am tired now. I got tired of loving you. I told myself before that I will never give up until you fall in love with me. I dream about that, that’s my greatest dream.”
“But I think, everything has its limits. I should stop now. It is so painful to be here.” She pointed at her heart. “I hope when I leave, you will be happier because God knows how much I want you to be happy. I want you to be happy together with her…”
Sebastian cannot explain why he felt an ache with Samantha’s broken state.
“I love you so much, Seb” even saying those words gives more pain. “I hope that you will not forget that once in your life, there’s someone like me who loves you so dearly” she cries and laughs shortly after saying those words.
She turns her back to him and slowly walks away. Sebastian just watches her back until she is gone from his sight.
Later he learned that that was the last time she would see her around.
Did he do the right thing? Why did he feel like hell now that she is gone?
