Emma walked over and said, “Alina looks so beautiful here!” Anna rolled her eyes. “Ugh, what does she think of herself, just because she’s done a few roles?” Another girl added, “Exactly! She doesn’t even come to university—probably just pays her way in.” Emma defended her “Why are you talking like that? Alina is a very talented and famous actress. She comes from the Winchester family—one of the richest in London.They have three children: the oldest, Nate, is a successful businessman married to the famous news journalist Emily Jane. They’re a beautiful couple.Then there’s Alina, the only daughter and actress—she studies at our university. I’ve spoken to her once or twice. You were amazing, as always.” Emily smiled. “Thank you so much.” Nate teased Ryan: “New girlfriend? Let’s see how long this one lasts.” Catherine snapped: “Nate, stop.” George walked in and sat down. “Where’s Alina? Isn’t she coming to dinner?” Just then, Alina walked in. “I’m here, Dad.” They all began eating. During dinner, Catherine turned to her daughter. “Alina, when you and Theo are getting engaged,what’s going on?” Alina replied, “Mom, it was just Theo’s idea. We haven’t made any decisions yet.” “What’s there to decide?” Catherine said. “He’s a classy man. He’s an actor like you—perfect match!” “Mom, I’m still young. I don’t want to rush into anything,” Alina said firmly. George nodded. “She’s right. Let her finish university first. She’ll know what’s best.” “Thanks, Dad,” Alina smiled. “Actually, I just got an offer to do a film with Theo… but I don’t know if I should accept.” “If it’s worth it, take it,” Catherine encouraged her. “Yeah! I can’t wait to see you on screen again,” Emily added. “You’re the best sister-in-law,” Alina said. Later that night, Alina said to her father: “Dad, I need a new bodyguard. This one said he’s leaving because he has to move out of London.” Nate replied: “I’ll find someone for you.” “Thanks i am going out with girls bye! Alina said Alina went to a club with her friends. One of them said: “Girls, tonight we’re going to have so much fun!” Alina looked around. “Wow, there are so many people…” Suddenly, she spotted Theo — kissing another girl. She immediately took off her sunglasses in disbelief. “So that’s who he really is…” she whispered. Alina walked straight toward them. Theo froze. “Alina, it’s not what you think—” Alina snapped: “You disgusting liar! You’re done with me!” She ran out of the club in tears. Tom was working as a bodyguard there.Reporters swarmed Alina with cameras and questions. She stood there, shocked and overwhelmed. Tom quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her away. They ran together until they reached a quiet spot. Tom asked: “Are you okay?” Alina wiped her eyes. “Yes… thank you.” Tom looked at his watch. “I should get back to work.” Alina said: “Of course. I’ll just call my driver to pick me up here.” Tom offered: “If you want, I can wait with you.” Alina smiled softly. “No need… but thank you.” Tom held out his hand. “Tom.” Alina shook it. “Thank you, Tom.” Tom smiled. “Anytime.” And he walked away. Alina whispered to herself. “Such a gentleman.” That same evening, Emily entered her room and turned on the lights. She was shocked to see the room covered in rose petals. Nate walked in holding a cake. “Happy birthday, my wife. I’m lucky to have you.” “I love you so much, Nate,” Emily whispered. She blew out the candles. “My only wish is to be happy with you forever. You became everything to me—you gave me a family I always missed.I’m so lucky to have you.” Nate kissed her. “Tonight will be unforgettable.” “Every night with you is unforgettable,” Emily replied. He laid her gently on the bed, they kissed. Emily unbuttoned his shirt. “You’re so hot, Nate.” The next morning, Nina got off the bus and called Emily. Emily, still in bed, woke up and answered sleepily. “Who’s calling this early?” “It’s me, Nina. Do you remember me?” “Nina! My little cousin?” “Yes. I left the village—I want to follow my dream, to study in London. I want to become someone like you, Emily.” “You came alone?” “Yes. I’m at the station. You’re the only one who can help me.” “Okay, wait there. I’m coming.” She hung up the phone. Nate asked, “Who was it?” “Nina. My cousin. She came to London—I didn’t think she’d really come.We haven’t spoken since I left Dulwich Village.” “She came without telling you?” “She’s still young… didn’t think it through. Oh no, I have a big meeting at 9. What do I do?” “Don’t worry. I’ll go. I’ll pick her up—I’m free.” “Really? Thank you, love.” She kissed him. Nina was waiting at the station. Nate arrived. “You must be Nina, right?” Nina froze when she saw him. “Yes.” “I’m Nate. Emily sent me to pick you up. Come on.” “Why didn’t Emily come?” “She had something important—something at work.” “I’m sorry for the trouble.” “No worries. Welcome.” He extended his hand. Nina smiled and shook it.
