Chapter 1: Freya

Prologue

Flashback

" Mommy! " I shout through the thick fog while I rush through the dead of sea people outside the pack house.

Everything was okay this morning and my twin sister was going to help me show off the latest painting I had done to my mum but now everything was on fire.The pack house and all the pack members are dying by our enemies hand.Our enemies smelled like rogues and fought liked rogues but they were not rogues. They were worse, and our pack was too weak to fight back and the only thing we can do is run for our lives.

"Mummy!"I scream as my eyes look around wildly. I can't see my sister or my mum.

I look back as a loud growl catches me off guard.My heart melts and my body freezes in fear as a large brown wolf lunges straight from the ground to attack me. My wolf is too weak and I just shifted yesterday. I don't know how to fight back.

"Freya! "My sister screams and pushes me off the ground while giving the rogue her back.

Blood splutters to the ground as the rogue drives his claws through my sister's stomach. She screams in agony as the sharp claws penetrates her skin. She turns around immediately and rips it's neck before her legs give out .

"Celeste! "My eyes widen in fear when I realize she is bleeding heavily. My sister is stronger than me. She shifted at a young age and has always been stronger ,so it wasn't shocking to see her fight back but I can't let her die because of me.

Blood gurgles out of her mouth as she lays down on her back.I can't leave her alone. She is my sister and I can't live without her.

"Wake up ! "

My eyes jerk wide open as cold water runs through my body and yanks me from the reoccurring nightmare of my past. I look around around the four walls of my room as my aunty looks at me with a disgusting face.

Ever since the attack on our pack. Celeste and I were able to escape the attack even though she wanted to die for me.I couldn't leave my sister alone,so I had to carry her on my back and not look back.The rest of the pack and my parents were wiped out.

Alpha Cain , rescued us and took us in like we are part of his pack ,but not everyone accepted us as part of the pack. My sister had lost her wolf and her wounds would take long to heal.She was either sick or not.The only thing I could to do was train so that I could be the strongest warrior,which was not easy. Everyone else hated us and that was only because Alpha Cain treated us like his children.

" If you are going to sit there and continue day dreaming like the little s**t you are then we will have a problem ,"Aunty Ophelia growls.

I stand up lazily from my position without uttering a word.

"Alpha Cain is looking for you and wants to talk to you personally,"she scrunches her nose in disgust.

"Really? "I look up hopefully while trying not scratch the scabs on my knees.

"He will pardon you for trying to kill Reese during training,"She grumbles," You should have been locked and stripped away of your wolf. You are not fit to be a warrior."

" I did not attack her ,"I whine ," We were sparring-"

Aunty Ophelia turns to look at me before she raises her hand to slap me. I step back and drop my head in respect because she is older than me.

"I'm going to take my leave,"I answer softly and turn my back to open the door.

"you better,"She scoffs.

I don't waste my time once I step my foot outside.I take off to Our Alpha's house immediately. I didn't even check up on Celeste before leaving her alone with that woman and I don't even want to imagine what she will do to her.Unlike me ,my twin sister is soft-spoken and kind. Everyone thinks we talk and act the same but we are completely different people.

I realize that the door to the alpha's house is slightly open. I thought he wasn't expecting anyone from what I was told but I step inside while I smoother my dress ready to atone for something I didn't do.

"Are you sure that the silver wolf could be one of the twins ? "The voices speak.

I quickly halt in my steps when I hear the word twins. We are only the twin in our pack and there's no doubt that is the discussion is about my sister and I .

"One if them is so f*****g weak,I don't think she could have the silver blood in her,"Alpha Cain pauses ," But her sister Freya is something special. The lycan king might like her,"

I gasp when I hear what he wants to do with me. The lycan king is a beast and there are so many rumors of feral he is. There's no way the alpha that took us in like children could just sell me off to the highest bidder. I accidentally lose my footing and fall inside the alpha's office like a rock.Both of men turn to look at me in surprise and anger.

"Freya ,"Alpha Cain looks at me in shock.

Our eyes lock and fear takes over my body. What did he mean by Sliver wolf and why does he want to get rid of me so easily? All this time ,I thought he cared about me ,he actually didn't.I keep a calm face to act like I didn't hear anything but I know better when it comes to Alpha Cain.

"Are you okay ? "He asks me with a calm voice ," I was waiting for you because I heard you injured Reese during a spar."

"I'm okay ,"I stutter and quickly stand up ," Infact I was just leaving ,I came too early ,"

Great ! This is the perfect time to escape and find my way out.I just need to make sure Celeste is complys because she can be stubborn even though she is weaker than me.

" Where are you going? You just came ," Alpha Cain grabs my arm while a low growl scapes his lips.

Unfortunately,my wolf and I recognize who our alpha is and it will be impossible to escape his grasp. He is way stronger than me and he can easily force my wolf down by using his alpha tone.

"sit down ,"he tells me.

A tingle spreads through my body as fear cripples my body. I look at the lone chair in the corner and think of fleeing. My wolf is pacing back and forth trying to understand what is going on but it's clear that if I sit down.i will die.

"No ,"I refuse .

" I -"

Everything else happens in a blur. I know he will use his alpha command on me this time. So I raise my leg and kick his balls and clamp my teeth on his arm. I make sure I draw blood as his body doubles back in pain

"you b***h! "He growls as he stumbles and cuts his claw into my stomach before he tries to grab me.

The other man tries to jump but I quickly shift into my wolf and attack him head first.Immediatley,he drops to the ground ,I sprint off from the house and run back to the pack house to get my sister.

" I will f*****g get you ! "Alpha Cain shouts from behind.

I open the doors quickly and run straight to the attack and carry my sister who is asleep.

"What's going on ? "Celeste rubs hee eyes and looks at me.

"We have no time ,"I pant while I remove the books and moved the nook shelf that leads to a tunnel (an emergency escape route that is only used if rogues attacks the pack ).

"You are bleeding,"my sister looks at my arm .

The cut is so deep ,my wolf can't possibly help me to heal within minutes or hours. Infact I might die if I take too long to do what I want. I can already hear the voices of my alpha and some other familiar warriors I train with .

"What did you do ? "My sister looks at me.

I ignore her and pull her hand forcing her to crawl with me through the tunnel. Dust and the strong scent of rust assaults my nose but the only thing I can think of is escaping.

We finally reached a clearing after what almost feels like hoursI can't hear our alpha anymore which is good thing but my sister is lowly losing her strength.

" I can't ," my sister's chest heaves up and down . She is at her limit and I know it.

It's only five miles to the roadside,I can't leave Celeste here even if she forced me to buy knowing her ,she is quite stubborn. I make sure grab her arm tightly while we run as fast as we can even though I'm still bleeding

" Freya ,we are at the roadside,"my sister coughs weakly.

The vision blurs infront of me as I spot an incoming car. A human is probably driving that one but my eyes are too heavy and I'm bleeding heavily. The last thing I hear is my body dropping on the ground with a thud.
