chapter 8:Freya

"I will take you home ,"he offers

I raise my head to meet Jesse's cold blue eyes and my heart immediately skips a beat. His scent is driving my wolf crazy and his aura radiates like someone who is superior. My mind quickly goes back to the moment we shared in the alley ,how his kiss felt against my skin -

"I dont think it's necessary, "I shake my head slowly

" Ooh okay ,"he sighs heavily which sounds like disappointment and suspicion at the same time," i don't care ,"

"You are so arrogant,"I huff and turn my back on him.

I don't even want to look back at Jesse because I can already feel his eyes burning through my skull and it's heated.He isn't a wolf and he doesn't smell like a normal human being. He is arrogant and thinks that he owns me and I have no idea what he wants in exchange for this fake proposal.Once I get enough money to save my sister ,I'm going to walk out of this engagement and find a suitable place for my twin sister and I.

I don't know how to inform this to Fawne. I told her that I will be out for a couple hours because she carefully explained to me the places i can go to if I really needed a job. I left her alone and she doesn't even know what's going on !

" Where have you been? "Fawne screams at me when I open the door to the little apartment. "And who are those people outside? "

"I'm going to be away for a while. I found a solution for Celeste and I hope you can begin the treatment soon because I want my sister to wake up ,"I speak boldly.

Fawne looks at me like I have grown two horns on my head. It has only been a few hours since I walked out and I don't even know how I can explain this properly. It's dangerous to move my sister to that awful man's place and I don't want anyone to see her.

"What are you talking about? "Fawne asks me again," You said you were looking for something and you are back with a solution! "

" Yes ,"I nod my head and sigh heavily," I really can't explain the details but I'm going to be back soon "

"Don't tell me you sold your soul to a Mafia boss or something,"Fawne whines loudly.

I cover my mouth and try to suppress my laughter.Fawne isn't joking but the look on her face and her statement is just too wild.

"No,I didn't do that but I promise you that I'm fine. Once I wire the money to you then you let me know when you start treating my sister and if she can wake up , if she doesn't,we can look for another solution," I answer.

"Hopefully,"Fawne grumbles.

A piercing and loud hoot from the car cuts me from finishing my sentence. Fawne looks startled at the sound and turns her head to look at me.I really don't have the heart to explain everything to her now because she might talk me out of this. This is the only way I can help my sister and there's nothing I can do .

"Please come back soon ,"she sniffs, " I don't think - "

I pull her in for a hug and squeeze her without letting her finish a sentence. I have only known Fawne for a short time and she is such a sweet person. Her scent is crispy and sweet, in my pack ,she would have been an omega with her inability to shift into a wolf.

"Please take care of yourself,"she cries,"And don't worry about Celeste ,she will wake up soon! "

"I will see you soon ,"I wipe a lone tear that escapes from my left eye.

After a few minutes of silence, I take my leave and join the man that is a pain in my ass.Our car ride is filled with excruciating silence. I don't even want to think about what will happen when I reach his place. He probably lives in a mansion that looks like a castle and has countless maids that wash his body and feet physically. The thought disgusts me already and I'm not supposed to be disgusted.

" We are here ," he announces without even sparing a glance at me.

My chest tightens at the way he is acting towards me but I decide to ignore it because I know this is only a fake relationship and there's nothing else between us. I don't waste time trying to wait for someone to open the door for me. I get out with ease and adjust my dress quickly.

"I hope you enjoy my humble house ,"Jesse smirks with his cold blue eyes burning into my soul like fire.

" Of course,"I scoff and turn my head towards the house.

My jaws drop instantly at the state of the house in front of me.It is not a mansion or Castle like I imagined it would be. No it's similar to a cabin that you would find in a forest surrounded by trees.

" It's humble ,"I splatter while observing the plants on the stones and the walls of the house.

I quickly follow him behind despite how fast he is walking . There's no way I'm going to sleep with him in this house and just do whatever he wants. He leads me to a simple bedroom with white and floral wallpaper. I notice a huge bed with huge pink and white pillows that adorn the bed.

"There's no way I'm going to sleep with you in this bed ,"I frown," You can - "

" You will ,"he whispers in my ear ," Sooner or later but for now here is your own space "

The hair on my skin rises at the sound of his deep throaty voice. I stand back to answer back but when I turn my back to look at him ,he is already gone .
