Six months later
Dóra sat in the car, the map spread out in front of her. She scanned all the various locations, wondering what else she might include as tourist attractions in the hotel catalog. Trunyan, maybe? The village near the volcano where the dead were not buried, but left on an island near the village in a bamboo tent on the clearing. Dóra had visited once before, and she had a hard time stomaching the sight. But this was the only place in Bali where you could take a kind of trip back in time. Time seemed to have come to a standstill two-hundred years ago in Trunyan. Hotel guests often asked the receptionists how they could get there.
