Chapter 6: Meeting Axel

"Yes I'm lost" I said looking up to see that the figure was a wolf. "I'm Axel and you are?" he asked. "I'm Rena" I introduced myself. "How long have you've been here? are you lost too?" I asked him.

"I'm not sure I've here for awhile" he said. I c****d my head curiously. "Hmm now that I think about I've been in here for a few years" he told me. "What?!" I yelled in disbelief. "Yup" he said simply.

Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed. I looked around and saw a light not to far us. "Hey, Axel, what's that light over there?" I asked. "Just a tree on fire" he said calmly. "Can you help me find my friends, I ran away from them and now I want to go back to them, could help me please?" I asked pleadingly. "Isn't that them over there" he said pointing his nose toward the distance. I jumped on Axel's back then i jumped off of it and ran. "Come on, Axel" I said excitedly. "Wait for me Rena" he said.

"Sora, come on, say something, anything" Kiba said, worriedly. Sora opened his muzzle and howled loudly "Arooooooooooo." Axel and I were close by. "Who did that?" Axel asked. "That was Sora" I said. I lifted my muzzle up and howled back. "Aroooooooooo." Sora ears perked up at the sound of my howl.

"That was Rena, I'm coming Rena!" he shouted, running out of the cave. "Sora wait!" Kiba shouted, but Sora was gone. "Great, first we lose Rena, now Sora, whose next!" Kazuma shouted. "They'll be fine" Kiba said. Meka looked up to the sky with a worried look on her face. In the forest Sora was shouting. "Rena! Rena where are you?" he shouted.

"Wait I know that voice... It must be him!" I said excitedly. "Who or what could be?" Axel asked confusedly. "It must be him" I said running toward Sora's voice. "Again with the running!" Axel exclaimed out of breath. Sora ears perked up at the sound of my answering howl.

"Rena" he said looking around, "if the howl came from that way then I'll find her" he said with certainty. "Geez for a she-wolf, you run pretty fast" Axel said panting. "Um thanks" I said. "Well we're here" he said. "We just missed him!" I said sadly. "He couldn't have gotten far" Axel said. I put my nose to the ground to try and catch Sora's scent.

"Found his scent, let's go" I said running. "Ugh I'm too old for this" Axel said, catching up to me. "Ugh how can I see through this fog, I can barely see my nose much less see where I'm going" Sora said in frustration. "Sora!" I yelled. "Great now I'm hearing things" he said to the sky.

"Sora!" I yelled a little louder. "Wait that sounds like-Rena!" he yelled. "Rena!" Sora yelled as he saw me. "Sora!" I yelled, greeting him. We both ran and accidently bumped into each other. "Ow!" we both said. "I was looking for you, the others are worried cause you ran off" Sora explained, shuffling his paws.Sora peered over my shoulder to see Axel. "Whose this?' he asked. "That is Axel, I ran into him on accident and he's been helping me to find the way back" I said. "Let's take you two back to the cave, before one of gets lost again" Sora said.

"I wonder if Sora found Rena" Meka said drealy. "Hello the cave!" Sora yelled. "Guys it's Sora and Rena, their back and they brought someone with them! Akoya yelled. They all scrambled out to see us. "Hey guys" I said, shuffling around.

"Come on you guys are probably cold, let's get inside" Meka said. "Achoo" I sneezed loudly. "Are you okay, Rena?" Kiba asked. "Yeah" I sneezed again, "Fine." "But your shaking really bad" Silver said.

"I'm achoo fine" I said. "If you say so" Sora said casually. "I'm going outside" I said. "Suit yourself" Sora shrugged. I walked out of the cave.

"Okay am I missing something here?" Akoya blurted out confused. "Are you just letting her go?" Silver asked. "You'll see" he said soflty. I started sneeze just outside the cave and I re-entered the cave. "I'll admit it, I'm sick" I said grumply.

"We'll get you better Rena" the group said. Soon I was surrounded by blankets wrapped up like a caterpillar. "You comfy?" Sora asked me. "surprisingly, yes I am" I said. "That's good" he said with a yawn. "You should get some rest" I told him. "I'll be fine" he said, stretching his legs near me. I snuggled in the blanket watching Sora drop off into sleep. I fell asleep before I knew it.
