Chapter 4: Meeting The Forest Guide Akoya

This chapter may be a little confusing and probably won't make sense to you readers. I will say this PERPARE TO LAUGH AND CRY! that is all)

“So wait you are Silver’s brother and sister?” I asked them. “Yep” they both said in unison. “I’m going outside, while you guys are playing catch-up” I said getting up. “Going to listen to the darkness?” Silver said in a creepy tone. “Ha ha hilarious” I said sarcastically, walking away.

“Why does she listen to the darkness?” Meka asked Silver. Silver shrugged. “I think she’s waiting to hear someone, like Meziku” she said. They all fell silent. “Hey guess who I brought with us, Akoya!” Meka said excitedly. “Huh I haven’t heard that name in awhile” Silver said mildly. I came rushing back into camp.

“I heard yelling, anyone in trouble?” I asked looking at everyone, my eyes falling on Akoya. “Whose she?” I asked, looking at her coldly. ”Rena this is Akoya she’s the one whose is getting us out of here” Silver explained. “All right let’s go!” I said excitedly. “Have you noticed that’s its dark outside?” Kiba asked. “See ya’ll tomorrow” I said, walking away to the back of the cave. “Hey sis, does Rena sleep where you sleep?” Kazuma asked.

“No she’s goes outside” Silver answered. “I think I’m going to get to know her better before I go to sleep” he said. “All right, just be careful, she’s a little violent” Silver warned him. “A little, she tried to kill me” Kiba spluttered. She tried to kill you?” Kazuma asked coolly.”Yeah, only because Sora and I robbed them” he said. “Yeah not one of your best moments” Silver said, rubbing him affectionately.

“Ugh before this gets mushy-gushy I’m going” I said, leaving the cave. Kazuma watched me leave. “Hey Silver where does Rena actually go to sleep?” he asked. “Um usually on a big rock over a cliff, if there isn’t one she’s usually in a tree” Silver said. When Kazuma turned to go Silver saw a devilish sort of look in his eyes.

While I was walking I heard rustling in the bushes. “You can come out Sora” I said without looking. “How’d you know it was me?” he asked. “You were making a lot of noise” I said. “Why did you follow?” I asked. “I came here to keep you company” he answered, blushing.

“Oh um thanks, but I don’t need company” I said strongly. "Ha finally found you, Rena" a voice said from behind me. I turned to see who it was, only to find a sword close to my throat, I looked up to see Kazuma holding it. "No!" Sora yelled, pushing me out of the way. The sword cut Sora in the throat. I was in shock I couldn't move. "Don't tell me you like Rena" Sora said, blood spilling out of his mouth as he spoke.

"KAZUMA!" I yelled, "YOU'LL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO SORA!" he shrugged and said, "all right, but I have a question to ask you." "What's that?" I asked with my teeth bared. "Will you go on a date with me?" He asked. "No" I said. "Wrong answer" he said advancing on me. "You hurt Sora, who I consider a friend and a packmate" I said with anger in my voice. "Fine" he turned and walked back to camp.

I watched him go then turned toward Sora. "Hold on Sora" I said with tears in my eyes. I crawled under him and got him on my back, then I walked slowly back to camp. when I was close to it I yelled, "Silver." She turned to see me. "Hey it's Rena" Silver said excitedly. "Finally I was wondering what was taking so long" Kiba said breathlessly.

"Whose that on her back?" Akoya asked. "It looks like Sora!" Meka exclaimed. Kiba ran over to us with Silver behind him. "What happened?" Silver asked me. I looked at her and then collasped on the ground. I woke up to the sound of voices. "Hey she's coming around" A voice said.

"Rena wake up" Silver said. "Where's Sora?" I asked groggily. "He's next to you" Kazuma said. I started to get up, but I fell back on the little bed. "Hey, no getting up, you'll hurt yourself more" Kazuma said. "Thanks for your support, but I'll be fine" I said acidly. I took the bandages off me.

"How long has he been out?' I asked quietly. "For awhile" Meka said, grabbing a a cloth strip and putting it on Sora's head. I growled softly then glared at Kazuma. "Don't look at me like that" he said, kneeling close to me. "Kazuma what are-" he kissed me, I struggled trying to hit him, but I couldn't. He stopped and I smacked him hard. "Ow what was that for?" he asked in pain.

"That's for kissing me" I said angrily. "Oh you enjoyed that, I know you did" he said lovingly. "Your sick" I said leaving the tent in a hurry. "Hey, Rena! what happened?" Kiba asked cheerfully. "Nothing" I said through clenched teeth, walking away.

Kiba watched me go until I was a tiny speck in the distance, then he walked inside with a straight face on. "Kazuma what did you do to Rena?" he asked with a hint of anger in his voice. "All I did was kiss her then she went awol and hit me and walked off" Kazuma said casually. Kiba glared at Kazuma with enough anger to kill a person. Kazuma looked away.

I walked till I saw Akoya and Meka in a little lake. "Hey, Rena what's up?' Akoya asked, sensing that something was wrong. "Nothing is wrong" I said with some anger in my voice. Akoya shrugged and continued to swim. "Wanna take a swim, the water is absolutely perfect" Meka said. "No thanks, I'm fine here" I said watching them. I stayed there watching them play, while I waited for Sora to get the all clear.

Silver walked in the makeshift medicine tent. "She looked at Sora then toward my area. "What are Rena's bandages doing on the floor?" she asked in the tent. She closed for a minute then reopened them. "RENA!" silver yelled loudly for everything and everyone to hear her.

Kiba and Kazuma came running in the tent. "What's wrong?" they both asked."Where's Rena?" she asked, her eyes glazed with anger. "Last I knew she was heading toward where Akoya and Meka are swimming" Kazuma said. Silver started to where I was dozing on the rock.

"Ugh" Sora grunted. "Hey your awake" Kiba said with relief. "Where's Rena, I have to tell her something important" he said, his voice straining. "She's on a rock, you might wanna get there before Silver does" he said. "I will" Sora said, grabbing a book before he left.

"Rena!" Sora yelled to me. "huh wha- glad to see your awake and moving what's up?" I said to him as he came to my rock. "Something's going to happen to the others" he said this in a very serious tone. "What do you mean?' I asked c*****g my head to one side in confusion. "I don't know when it'll happen but it will we'll jus have to watch them" he said.

He groaned in frustration. "I don't get it" I said keeping my tone level."Silver found berries that her and the others ate, it's a bad kind of fruit that casue the eaters to act all funny" he explained. "Did you get rid of the berries at least?" I asked him. "I burned them all to a crisp" he said. "Ok, I'll keep in an eye on them" I said.

That night when everyone was asleep I went out for a walk. "Ah the darkness is so wonderful" I said happily. "It sure is" a voice said from behind a bush. "Whose there?' I growled fiercely. Sora appeared out of the bush. "Relax it's just me" he said. "Sorry" I said forcing my body to relax.

"So this is what you do every night, listening to the darkenss" Sora said trying to be friendly. "Pretty much" I said gruffly. "Silver said you listen to the darkenss 'cause your waiting for someone to return" he said, staring at me. "Yes that is true, a good friend of mine was murdered from encounter at the Red-Eye Mansion. We were rescuing Silver and her apprentices, when Red-Eye sneaked behind her and killed her" I was crying by then. "Because of me, Meziku is gone" I howled out the last part and put my head down on my paws and cried, Sora put his head gently on mine and let me cry. "Let it out Rena" he said comfortingly.

"You couldn't stop him from hurting her, you were busy" he said. He looked down to see me asleep. He carried me back to camp in his arms. "Hey bro, where have you been?" Kiba asked loudly. He put his finger to his lips, Kiba nodded and walked away.

The next morning. "Hey Rena, wake up" Sora said, gently shaking me. I popped him hard. "Ow!" he yelled. "Huh? wha? sorry Sora" I said to him. He rubbed his head. "Don't worry about it come on let's see if the others are awake" he said, going the opposite way of me.

I peered into Silver's tent and noticed a little figure in the corner. "Hey Silver, are you ok?' I asked, stepping closer to her. "Yes I'm fine purple chicken, but please don't eat me" Silver said confusion in her blue eyes. "Oh no, It's starting, I have to tell Sora" I said running to find him. While I was running, I didn't realize that Sora and I were running in the same direction, so we bumped into each other. "Ow!" we both said. "How's Silver?" he asked. "Not good" I said shaking my head.

"I'll go check on the others, you stay here and guard Silver" I ordered him, he nodded his head and stood watch. I went to Sora and Kiba's tent and peered inside. "Kiba are you ok?" I asked. "Yes, I'm fine black ram, but please don't ram me" he said disoriented. "Great, you too" I said, getting angry.

"Now to see if the lovesick creep is ok" I muttered. I peered into Kazuma's tent. "Kazuma are you ok? please say yes" I said quietly. "Yes red rose, but please don't prick me" he said. "Oi I'm running out of options, now to check on Meka and Akoya, first Meka" I said to myself. "Meka are you ok?" I asked her. "Yes, I'm fine pink bunny but please don't hit me with your magical carrot" Meka said.

"Ok she's not doing too hot herself" I said, running toward Akoya's tent. "Hey Akoya say something wierd if your not ok" I said into the tent. "Hey blue ox, please don't hurt me" Akoya said. "all right they all have gone crazy" I said, walking to where Sora was. I looked to see him asleep. "Hey Sora, wake up" I said nudging him. "Mmm five more minutes" he said rolling over.

I kicked him hard on his side. "Ow, what now" he said groggily. "Help me find something to keep the others away from each other" I said. "Fine" he said, getting up. few minutes later Sora and I had nets surrounding the camp. "Ok now how are we going to get them in those?" Sora asked me, pointing to the nets. I sat down and looked at the nets.

"I have no clue" I said finally. "We could lead them to the nets" he suggested. "That could work, let's do it" I said. We lead the gang into the nets. "We have Akoya, Kiba, and Meka, but where's Silver and Kazuma?" I asked, looking around. "They're in the trees" he whispered. I looked up to see a flicker of Silver's hair.

"I'll be back" I said to Sora. "What are you going to-" before he finished the sentence, I was already following Silver. "How did she do that?" Sora asked himself, looking toward the trees. "Hey Sora, I'll need your help catching Silver and Kazuma" I said, balancing on a tree branch. "How do I- whoa!" he yelled as I grabbed him and put him beside me. "Too close" he said, blushing. I didn't notice him blushing.

we started jumping from tree branch to tree branch, after a couple of hours it was dark by the time we stopped. "Ok the only way to stop them is to bribe them" Sora said. He jumped down and started to make something on the ground. "There all done" sora said. I looked down to see a net filled with food.

"Now let's wait for one of them to drop by then we got them" he said, "let's go behind that bush and wait" he said. "all right" I said drowsly. "You ok?" he asked me. "I'm fine" I said. We squashed ourselves behind a bush. "Ok, now we're hidden" Sora said. "Good, I'm going to sleep, night" I said, curling into a ball next to Sora.

"Night" he said, looking through a hole. After a couple hours Sora heard a bell go off. "Hey, Rena, we snagged someone" he said, walking toward the trap, causing me to fall. "Oww" I said. "Oh, sure the sorry makes it better" I said sacrastically. "Want me to kissit to make it better" he said mockingly. I shook my head to clear it.

"Who'd we catch?" I asked. "we caught Kazuma" he said flatly. "Where's-ow!" I yelled falling down. "Sora help me" I said. He turned around. "What did you get yourself int-ow!" he yelled, landing in front of me. I sighed impatiently.

"Quit playing around and help me" I said angerly. "I can't I'm stuck too" he said sheepishly. I glared at him. We heard someone laughing and looked up to see Silver laughing at us, then she left. "You know what, I think it was Silver who made these" I said to Sora, who wasn't paying attetention. After a while I looked to see what Sora was doing. "Sora what are you doing?' I asked him.

"Freedom" he said, shaking whatever was left of the trap. "Can you get me out?" I asked him. He snapped at the trap, freeing me. "Thanks" I said, relieved. "Now to go see if anyone has escaped" he said. When we got back, we saw Kazuma escaping. Silver showed up and jumped down from the tree to put Kazuma in a headlock, then they transformed into wolves, laughed at us like little kids and ran off.

Sora growled. "We need to make another trap, one where he can't get out" Sora said. "I hate to burst your bubble, Sora,but what about Silver?" I asked him. "She could pose a problem" Sora said. Sora was pacing now, which meant he was thinking. I waited patiently, until Sora looked at me with a gleam in his eyes. "What is that look for?" I asked him.

I closed my eyes and transformed into a human. I fell on top of Sora. "Ow" Sora said faintly. "Oh no" I said getting off him. "Is that you Rena?" Sora asked dazedly. "Don't look at me!" I yelled, grabbing Silver and ran while crying. "Rena, wait!" Sora yelled, turning to a human.

"You should go after her, blue bunny" Kazuma said. "I'm not a bunny I'm a wolf and your right surprisingly, c'mon" Sora said grabbing Kazuma and running after Silver and I. "Go away, I don't want to see you" I said as Sora caught up to us. We ran till we were within the camp. "I think we lost them" I trying trying to catch my breath.

I was wrong Sora caught up to us with Kazuma in tow. He strung Kazuma right next to Silver. "Rena what is wrong with you?" Sora asked. I'll tell you in little" I said tiredly. A month passed and the others where recovering from the effects of the berries. "Oi my head" Silver said groggily, she looked up and untied her net, she did the the same to the others. "Hey, where's Rena ad Sora?" Kiba asked, he looked down at his feet to see Sora asleep.

"If Sora's here, where did Rena go?" Akoya asked. "I have a feeling that she's outside" Kazuma said. They all went outside and saw that I wasn't there. "She must have left us something" Silver said. "Let's start searching" Meka said. They searched until Akoya found a note.

"Guys over here!" she yelled getting their attention. "What is it?" Silver asked. "It's a note it reads: Dear Silver and the others hope your feeling well, anyway I'm off hunting for food. Aslo let Sora sleep he hasn't had any sleep in awhile, so leave him be, that means you Kiba and Kazuma, Love Rena. When Silver turned around Kazuma and Kiba were gone. "Where did they go?" Akoya asked. "I have a feeling where they could be, c'mon" Silver said. "Hehe push him over here" Kazuma said.

"What are you guys doing?" Akoya asked. "Playing with Sora" he said. "Well, Rena's not going to like this, speak of the devil, here she is" Silver said. "Hey guys I got breakfast" I said. As I was walking I tripped over a root and fell on Kazuma. "Sorry" I said. Kazuma was dumdfounded.

I ran off to prevent further embarrassment to myself. "Rena wai" Kazuma started to get up and follow. Sora put his arm to stop Kazuma. "Leave her be" Sora said. Kazuma glared at him. "We can't leave her" Akoya pointed out. "I know Rena, she can handle anything that comes her way, she'll be fine" Silver said.

"That's true she's pushy and agressive, but she knows what she's doing" Kiba said. Kazuma was walking toward the exit when Akoya saw him. "Hey, Kazuma, what are you doing?" she asked. "Um going for a walk" he said nervously. "Well you better hurry, Sora just left" Kiba said singysong. "That little I'll reach Rena before he does" Kazuma said, storming off. "And so the race begins" Silver said quietly.

"I wish I could just disappear" I said. I heard a crackle in the brush not to far from me. I jumped up in a tree and nestled myself on a branch. "Rena, where are you?" Sora asked, looking around. "I'm up here" I whispered. loud enough for him to hear him. He looked up and saw me.

"Can I come up there?" he asked. "Sure" I said grabbing him. "Why did you follow me?" I snapped. "Um.." he said. "ANSWER ME!" I yelled hotly. "Your scaring me" Sora said cowering. I blinked my eyes rapidly.

"I'm sorry, Sora, I don't know what came over me" I said softly. "I came here for a reason" Sora started. "What's the reason?" I asked. "I came to help you" he said. "Help me?!" I said confused. "With your human transformation" he said. "How did you know abou that?" I asked.

"I saw you when you almost fell on me, you have the basic form in your head, but when it actually comes for you to do it, the image gets blurred" he explained. "All right, you can help me" I admitted. "Good, we'll start tomorrow" Sora said. "Let's go back to camp" I said jumping down. When we got back we entered inside the tent, a wave of dizziness came over and I fainted. I woke up to see Sora and Kazuma getting ready for a fight. "She loves me" Kazuma said to Sora.

"No she loves me" Sora fired back. I walked over to them and clunked their heads together. "Ow!" they said in unison. "Both of you go stand in a corner if your going to behave like children, you'll be treated as such and I don't love anybody" I said angerly. They both walked to a different corner.

They glared at each other their eyes full of contempt. "Ugh" I said putting my hand to my face. Silver walked in, as she was walking in, Meka jumped onto top of Silver head, Silver just smiled and laughed. I thought back to when I first met Silver and Meziku, Meziku would wait for Silver to appear and jump onto top of her head, that was the first time I saw Silver smile. I snapped back to reality and looked to see Silver smiling.

I went outside and ran to the edge of the cliff. I looked up and sighed. "I hope your listening Meziku, I mis you so much, you were my best friend and partner, hope your up there" I said looking at the sky. "What are you doing out here?" Meka asked. "Just came to get away from my thoughts" I said. "Oh ok See you" Meka said walking back to the tent. I looked up at the sky once more and walked back to camp.

The next morning, Silver was the first awake. "HEY WAKE UP EVERYONE!" she yelled, her voice ringing. "I don't wanna" Meka mumbled. "Rena told me before her and Sora left to get some things, they told me to wake everyone up" Silver said proudly. Everyone was rubbing their eyes when Sora and I walked in. "Hey, guys we're back" I said. After everyone was fully awake, we went to a path that would lead us out of the forest.

"Since I'm the guide, I'll go first, you don't mind, do you Rena?" Akoya asked. "Not at all" I said. As we started to walk through the forest, the others were surrounding Akoya, talking and laughing with her. "What's up with everyone going to Akoya? what does she have that I don't?" I asked myself. "Did you say something, Rena?' Sora asked me.

"No, I didn't say anything" I snapped at him. All right" he said, turning his attention back to Akoya. Soon night fell, which made us stop for the night. "Hey, Rena could you get some wood for the fire?" Akoya asked. "Sure" I said.

Few minutes later I had firewood. "I'm back" I said. "That was fast" Kiba said, impressed. Soon Akoya had some food done. "Here Sora eat this, it's good" Akoya said, waving some food in front of his face.

"Um thanks, but I can feed myself" he said nervously. Akoya shoved some food down his throat. "Um it's good" he said, trying to be polite. I pushed my food away from me. "I'm leaving" I said, getting up. "Why are you leaving?' Silver asked. "Just away from everyone" I said running, while tears ran down my face.
