Chapter 1: Freedom

Huh what where am I? A wolf asked. Hmm I'm stuck in a crate or cage or something like that, I'm Rena a red and black wolf and I have no idea where I am, wait I think I remember what happened. "Hey comes back here damn mutt!" the butcher yelled. "he he" I laughed carrying the meat I stole. Then three shadows came out of nowhere, one was carrying a gun. "Shoot it now!" one of them yelled, "Run girl, RUN!!! A man yelled. I ran a gun shot through the air.
"Yes got her! A man yelled he shot me in the side. "Get her in the damn crate!" I heard the man yell before I blacked out. I woke up to people talking, "Sir Do you think the wolf will be ok?" the boy asked,"she'll be fine once, we take her to the Master's place she'll be theirs and not ours" the man laughed. *crick* *bang*"We're here; now help me unload this thing!" The man yelled, "Sir, yes sir" the boy said. I growled. "Um sir she's growling" the boy said scared. "She'll be fine" the man answered I growled louder.
"um sir?" the boy asked whimpering "She'll be fine" he answered annoyed. I growled and snapped at the boys' hands till they put me inside. The boy let a breath of relief. "She's the feistiest critter I have ever carried" the man said awed. "Not to mention the most annoying" the boy added. "Ah don't pay any attention to Moroni he's new" the man said softly to me. "You're not talking to that thing are you?" Moroni asked.
"Yes I was, now we have to make sure she's comfortable" the man said. "You can do that, because I'm not going toward that thing!" Moroni said running off. "You'll be fine right girl?" the man asked, I c****d my head. "Ah well here" the man said, throwing me a scrap piece of meat, he gave me a pat on the head then toddled off. I stayed there for a long awhile. As I was waiting I looked up and saw the moon. While looking at it I was reminded of my family.
My family and I were always behind the other wolves. My father was the leader of the pack, a large grey and gold wolf who cared more about the other wolves then my family and I. That's when I decided to confront him; we fought for hours fur and blood flying everywhere. Finally I ran away and never looked back. I looked up at the moon and howled a sad lonely tune after that I went to sleep. "Hey stop that wolf!" a man yelled. I woke up with a start and peered through the bars.
A live chicken was squawking while hanging from a wolf's mouth. "Hey you need any help?" the wolf carrying the chicken asked. "Yeah" I said looking at the wolf with complete wonder. She dropped the chicken and started tearing at the bars, I closed my eyes, it didn't take long when I heard silence, I opened my eyes and saw there was an opening; I looked to see if anyone was looking and I took off. I ran till I was almost out of breath then I ran into the wolf that helped me escaped, we almost ran into each other until she pushed me down and did a back flip over me with the chicken still in her mouth.
She gave me the peace sign and ran out of a door that someone left opened. "Hey someone catches that silver wolf!" someone yelled. "Hey isn't that the wolf the boss wanted for something?" another one asked. "Wait for me! I yelled getting up and running to catch up to the silver wolf. I started running after in the hope that I could catch up to her before I couldn't see her. She looked back at me in wonderment, and then she shook her head and continued to run until she ran into a cave and disappeared inside it. I followed her until I saw the cave. I collapsed and fell into a world of darkness once again.
