Both sides lose?

Eva really didn't expect to be invited by Sinead Mary Bernadette O'Connor. Although she was only invited for an interview, there were several potential directors for Sinead's new MTV, and she would choose one from them. However, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Eva. She knew quite a bit about this famous Irish singer: Sinead has a strong personality, famously shaves her head, and although she won a Grammy, she famously refused to accept it. Her songs are of high quality, earning her the status of a national treasure in Ireland. Most importantly, Sinead is a very thoughtful artist, often creating imaginative MTVs that dare to try new things, which offered Eva a lot of creative room to work. After receiving the invitation from Sinead's agent, Eva prepared her materials and headed to the agreed office building. Upon arrival, she discovered that Sinead was not present; it was only her agent waiting for her. After a brief introduction, Eva sensed something odd in the agent's gaze. Finally, he said, "Hello, Eva. Sinead saw your short film on TV and was amazed at your control of color. However, you're currently just one of the candidates because Sinead has high hopes for the MTV, and she wants to select the most suitable director." Eva nodded. "I understand. After all, Sinead is a national treasure singer in Ireland; she must have many options." The agent’s smile sent chills down Eva’s spine. "Tomorrow is the formal interview. I wanted to meet you today and explain the situation." The office felt eerily empty on that weekend; it seemed like no one was around except for them. Eva asked, "If everything is fine, can I leave?" "Wait a minute," the agent said, suddenly sporting a strange smile. "It seems you know that someone of Sinead's status has many choices. She trusts me completely. If I can say a few words for you, I can guarantee that she will definitely choose you." Eva detected the veiled tone and replied coldly, "No, sir." Undeterred, the agent continued, "Eva, from the moment I saw you walk up to the podium on TV, I was captivated... You're so attractive, and you make me feel things inside." At that, Eva abruptly stood up and walked toward the door. "Sir, I hope you know what you're talking about, but I'm not interested in listening anymore." Before she could reach the exit, the agent lunged forward, trying to grab her hand and persuade her, "Eva, this opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for you..." Just as he was about to touch her, Eva swiftly pulled a dagger from her boot and pressed it against his palm. The movement was smooth, as if she had practiced it countless times. The agent was stunned. **Damn, is this woman mentally ill?** What kind of normal woman carries a dagger? Eva glared at him, her disgust evident in her voice. "Stay away from me, you bastard." The agent quickly withdrew his hand, realizing he had underestimated her. "Are you okay? I didn't mean anything by it. Why are you making such a fuss?" Ignoring him, Eva sheathed the dagger. "I despise you bastards. If you come near me again, I’ll cut your heart out." Her tone left no room for doubt, and the fierceness in her eyes made the agent shudder. **Why is this woman so scary?** At that moment, he was convinced of one thing: she had some serious mental issues. But Eva walked out, internally agreeing with his assessment. She was not an ignorant 18-year-old; she understood the dangers that beautiful women often faced, as evidenced by today’s encounter. She harbored a deep hatred for men, was misogynistic, and avoided contact with them. That was why she carried a dagger every day since her rebirth. It didn’t matter to her if others thought she was mentally ill. Even those with unconventional minds have their own ways of living, and she had her own unique approach. As she had entered the office, Eva had activated a recording device on her phone. She purchased it the day after her rebirth, anticipating potential threats. This was a manifestation of her distrust of men. When she found herself alone with the agent, her instinct was to record their conversation, documenting her experiences. This was how she chose to live: as long as others didn’t interfere with her, she wouldn’t affect them. But when it came to men, she remained 100% vigilant. She had not disclosed the recording to anyone yet, fearing it might jeopardize her chance to meet Sinead. She needed to inform Sinead about the agent’s behavior to protect other girls in the future. After Eva left, the agent pondered whether she would go back to Sinead and speak ill of him. But he doubted Sinead would believe her. On one side was her trusted agent of many years; on the other was an unknown new director. How could Sinead trust her so easily? He resolved to discredit Eva in front of Sinead, teaching her a lesson for crossing him. The next day, when the formal interview began, Eva arrived on time. The agent awaited her at the registration office and greeted her with a menacing look. "Eva Cody, I didn’t expect you to dare come. What, do you still want to complain? You think anyone will believe you? You’ll suffer the consequences today." Eva shot him a sneer. "Who’s really reaping the fruits of their own actions?" The agent threatened, "You're a mental patient. I advise you to see a doctor." After checking in, Eva walked to the waiting area, ignoring him entirely. Before Eva entered the meeting, the agent had been whispering her resume into Sinead's ear. "This girl has no experience; she's not suitable. Apart from her short film, she has nothing else. She's not as good as others with more experience." Sinead glanced at Eva's resume and said hesitantly, "It's true that there's nothing remarkable about it, but her short film was quite good. I still want to see her." With that, Sinead welcomed Eva in. Upon entering, Eva noticed the agent glaring at her, clearly hoping for her failure. Ignoring him, she turned her focus to Sinead, who still sported her signature bald head. "Hello, Eva. To be honest, I saw your short film by chance, and I was conquered by you." "Thank you for the compliment," Eva replied modestly. Sinead continued, "But I wasn't just impressed by the long shot; it was your kaleidoscope of colors that struck me. I think you’re a master of playing with colors." Sinead sighed, reflecting on the colors in Eva's work. "You're the kind of director I envision for my latest MTV. Can you discuss how you plan to shoot something like a doomsday destruction theme?" Eva interrupted, "That's absolutely fine, but I think before that, I have something I'd like Ms. Sinead to listen to." As the recording of the agent's voice played from Eva's phone, his face turned pale. **Damn, this Eva Cody is truly out of her mind.** What normal woman keeps a recorder on at all times or carries a knife? Her approach only served to prove her mental instability. How could Sinead possibly consider employing someone like her as a director? This woman, with her extreme personality and apparent mental issues, was nothing like he had anticipated.
