[Platoon 1 Member POV]
"H-Help...." A deafening scream was heard by Ramesh, Alisa, Veer, Devika as well.
The screams came from a large building belonging to a city tycoon that was on fire.
"You heard that?" Ramesh asked, making sure his friends heard too
the same thing.
"Of course, i***t. Who hasn't heard such a loud scream?" Harsh words never left Veer's mouth. Especially when it comes to Ramesh.
"Unless the person is deaf." Alisa chimed in their conversation.
Meanwhile, Devika, who didn't want to interfere in the trivial quarrel, just stared at her friends who couldn't understand the current situation.
"I'm sure there's someone in that building. We have to hurry and save him." Ramesh's eyes became sharp, turning serious.
"My abilities aren't useful enough in this situation. Ramesh, you can extinguish this fire with your natural power, right?"
Alisa's point was that Ramesh's current natural power was the most useful. And also, when nature is burning, nature will extinguish it with rainwater.
It's one of Ramesh's forms of natural power.
"Yes. I can, but I'm not fast enough to be able to help the people in the building. Because if we don't hurry, I think they're going to suffocate from oxygen." Obviously.
"Leave that to me. In swordsmanship, speed is also an important factor." Veer wipes his nose.
"Then, we will do it together. When I use the power of nature to extinguish the fire in that building, you must also run to save them."
Ramesh gave great advice. Veer and the other two nodded in agreement.
The atmosphere between the four of them tensed. Ramesh concentrates.
In a short time, a large dark cloud came to meet the master's call.
The cloud looked very fat as if it could throw up its contents at any moment.
"Millions of raindrops."
Millions of raindrops fell from the mother's belly, pouring water on the fire that had been her mortal enemy since childhood.
"Now!" Ramesh shouts at Veer to signal the start of the rescue operation.
With a movement that could match the speed of sound, Veer ran into the large building belonging to the conglomerate.
"Help us! We beg you, anyone!"
That was the welcome Veer received upon entering the multi-story building.
Since Veer didn't know the exact position where the scream was coming from, he chose to follow his instincts.
Veer's instincts led him to run up the stairs with fire scattered around him.
Leading him to a room whose entrance was buried by the ruins of the roof of the building.
"Help us... anyone!"
Veer's instincts are right. The scream was heard from inside the room.
Veer knows what to do in this condition. Because he had gone through a lot of training that even had to risk his own life.
Veer pulled the sword from the scabbard he was wearing on his waist, took a deep breath.
"Ordinary sword streak."
He swung his sword horizontally and vertically at almost the same time.
Instantly the ruins of the roof were cut into small pieces that were difficult to see.
Behind the pieces of rubble, Veer sees a mother and child in their arms.
"Finally! Please save my son. You don't have to worry about me. Just go save my son. The future is still long."
The mother cried happily because there was help coming to her, but unfortunately, only one person came.
With all considerations, he is willing to die in this place for the future of his son. That is proof of how much he loves his son.
"I don't care about my life. As long as my son lives, I'm happy." The mother continued to sob as she hugged her child.
Veer who saw the scene silently shed tears. It turns out that his heart is very smooth even though his mouth is not.
But he had to be tough enough to get through this. Veer wiped his tears then said,
"You underestimate me too much! I've gone through very difficult training, even nearly losing my life. Supporting two people on my shoulders is a trifle!" Again he rubbed his nose.
The mother's face immediately brightened. He had found a glimmer of hope.
But Veer is right. Getting the two of them out of this building wasn't difficult. Moreover, the flames were also slowly extinguished due to Ramesh's natural power.
Veer walks up to the mother then extends his hand.
The mother nodded, took Veer's hand.
.
.
.
Ramesh, Alisa, and Devika held their breath.
Wondering if Veer will succeed. Moreover, he had been in that building for too long.
Not long after, Veer ran out of the building carrying a mother and a small child on his shoulders.
Finally, they can breathe a sigh of relief.
"You i***t! Why are you taking so long?" Alisa shouted hitting Veer's chest softly. She could barely hold back her tears.
Veer lowered back the two people he was carrying, smiled at the three of them.
"Besides, are you all right, Veer?" This time Ramesh asked.
"Of course. I'm strong, you know!"
Arrogant while showing his big muscles.
Alisa's gaze turns to the person who was saved by Veer.
"Are you hurt? What about the others? Are you the only survivors?"
Alisa's cheerful personality can sometimes turn into a very anxious woman.
"You ask too many questions. Let him calm down first." Devika's suggestion.
"It's okay. I'm feeling better. I'm not hurt, it's thanks to this man you call Veer. When the fire broke out, we saw people running on the street, but we don't understand what happened because the building's warning system was down. today.
Without us realizing it, the fire was getting bigger, burning the entire building. Those who were not alert were immediately out of breath that they couldn't move and were burned to death by the raging flames."
The four members of the 1st platoon were surprised because this mother was still able to talk at length after experiencing a terrible incident.
"Then how did you guys survive?" Ramesh's curiosity can't be contained anymore
"I was the only person aware of a huge fire in the city, so I was able to save myself and my son first. The bad news is, when we tried to get out of the building, the ceiling started to collapse due to the magnitude of the fire."
The dumb quartet finally nodded in understanding.
"Thank goodness... you're okay."
Ramesh breathed a sigh of relief. Either for the safety of the mother or because of the success of the plan he devised. Only he knows.
Just as they felt that things were starting to settle down, a pair of boys and girls in military uniforms that were different from the stupid quartet, flew slowly towards them.
"Oh? I didn't think there would be survivors in this great fire. I thought they were all civilians." The man fixed his gaze on the dumb quartet.
"I'm not done killing yet... can I kill them all, Rohan?" Said the woman next to him grinning.
Meet the intruder?
It's going to be a tough day for the four of them.
