At 6:30pm Dallas sighed for the umpteenth time and Racheal finally decided to pay attention to it despite the fact that she was trying really hard not to “are you getting picked up or are you going by myself?” she asked with a knowing look that Dallas was frustrated which definitely meant she was waiting for someone, but just to be on the safer side, she inquired Dallas sighed with a smile and said “Well, not exactly..” Dallas replied not wanting to let Racheal try to see the person that was coming to pick her up or even let her see that it was a girl or a friend they both knew was trouble back in high school who was currently by the way late for their date Racheal narrowed her eyes at her best friend but decided not to probe any further knowing Dallas will let her know in her own comfortable time so she  went back to her reading and plugged by her headphones Dallas sighed again and checked her watch “fine..” she muttered to her self and grabbed her air pod, put it in her hears and grabbing her face cap, she went smiled at the sight of Rachel on her bed who was trying pretty hard to concentrate on whatever she was reading and not bother Dallas, she moved to Rachel’s bedside and her roommate noticing the shadow at her side looked up with a questioning face though without removing her headphones Dallas just smiled reassuringly and leaned down to kiss a confused Rachel’s face then move further before saying into her hear loud enough for her to hear “I will be going now, see you soon?” “sure, have fun kid” Racheal replied with a smirk causing Dallas to frown a little as she headed out Rachel sighed after the door closed behind her best friend “be safe, i***t”   Meanwhile, Dallas leaned against their dorm door for a while trying to delay herself and then clicked on her phone screen which displayed the time as 6:54pm “so much for a first date huh? “ she thought to herself quite disappointed and started walking slowly down the stairs outside her hostel, she stood outside the gate for 5 minutes listening to her favourite artist as the wind blasted by her and when her phone displayed 7pm She sighed “I guess I should have known, she isn’t coming” she said to herself but then decided to talk a walk just so Rachel won’t know that she didn’t go or stood up. She doesn’t think she can stand the teasing, probing and then the murder of Cyd which Rachel will definitely want to do when she finds out the whole story not to talk of ,finding out that her best friend was gay, If only Dallas knew though She turned in her right direction and had taken about a few steps when a car honked behind her, she however didn’t bother looking because she didn’t expect Cyd to come after being an hour late already but then, the car moved past her and parked in front of her, it seemed unfamiliar but then the door opened and Cyd stepped out hurriedly making Dallas freeze in her tracks, she didn’t say a word not even when Cyd came over and hugged her “I am so sorry, I wanted to be here sooner or text you but there were lots of issues, forgive me?” Cyd said in her hair still not letting Dallas whose hands were by her side go On a normal day, Dallas would definitely have chewed Cyd out and went back in but Cyd apologizing seemed so sincere that she just couldn’t bring herself too, it took a while but Cyd finally let her go and that was when Dallas could properly see her outfit, her face seemed tired but her outfit was still perfect, she was wearing a white trousers with a grey t- shirt which was firmly in between a coat jacket Dallas smiled knowing Cyd was waiting for her to say something “well , you look great” Dallas finally said and Cyd sighed in a relief manner and smiled “I am glad I do ,its our first date after all” she replied “shall we get going?” Cyd added and Dallas replied “sure, I can kill you after” Dallas joked as they moved towards the car “I would definitely understand” Cyd replied with a chuckle and Dallas joined in as Cyd turned on the ignition and they were off Cyd turned a corner and Dallas seemed to scan around the lighted area which seems quite lively but unfamiliar that she really doubted this was a part  of the campus “are we still on campus right now? ”she asked Cyd as she stared out the window “not really but we are not far from it” Cyd replied easing off the accelerator a bit as she hit a speed bump “so where are we going?” Dallas asked still looking out the window “it’s well a lively restaurant that isn’t too extravagant, something that you won’t find discomforting” Cyd replied “Whoa” Dallas said sounding a bit surprised “what?” Cyd questioned with a smile “Thought an idiotic billionaire like you would actually go way out of track” Dallas replied with a slight chuckle Cyd smirked although Dallas was not looking at her “well, an idiotic billionaire like me also has a girlfriend who might feel out of place” Dallas smiled to herself at the thought that the idiotic tomboy was actually considering her feelings “so now that I have answered your questions, would you answer mine?” Cyd asked as she complety slowed down “what is it?”Dallas inquired “why are you not looking at me but out the window since we got in the car?” Cyd asked and Dallas complimented her in her head that she endured for so long before asking why she was not looking at her and the reason which was that she was actually still tingling from the unexpected hug she had gotten from Cyd and was quite embarrassed by that fact was not something Dallas wanted Cyd to know so she smiled to herself and faced Cyd with a forced questioning look Cyd smiled back at her “that is good then, I just really thought you are mad at me” “I wonder why you would think that” Dallas replied with a chuckle “yeah, I was being paranoid, sorry” Cyd said again surprising Dallas who hid it well and continued looking out the window Cyd smiled to herself as she turned a corner “there it is” she said and cruised the car to the parking lot Dallas stepped out of the car at the same time Cyd did and finally took a good look at the restaurant Cyd had brought her to, it was well lighted on the outside making it look like a bar but when they finally got into the half filled restaurant  and sat in the dim lighted booth that Cyd had reserved ,she looked at the interior decorations and knew that it was certainly not a place for students .
