The Bestfriends

“It is nice, isn’t it?” Cyd who was sitting across from her  asked  breaking Dallas out of her thoughts

“Yes it is “Dallas replied with a smile

And that was when a waiter came to their booth to take their orders

“what would you have?” Cyd asked as she scrolled her own menu while Dallas on the other hand was scanning through the menu with surprise, these were not just dishes you can find randomly and are quite are plus expensive, she knew Cyd loves to spend but she was mostly witnessing it first hand since most of what they had was at Campus cafes and restaurant which was at student price.

“Whatever you are having” Dallas replied with a shrug

Cyd smirked at that and pointed to a number on the menu and the waiter bowed away with a smile

“what is with that smirk?” Dallas asked with a slight frown

“Couple goals, ordering the same meal, saw it somewhere” Cyd replied seeming quite proud of her self

Dallas shook her head in disapproval and sighed

“And here I was thinking you grew up”

Cyd didn’t replied but her smirk stood perfectly in place

“Oh by the way..” Cyd called out

“what now? “Dallas asked with a questioning look

“You look smashing” Cyd replied with a smirk and Dallas didn’t reply and sent a glare Cyd’s way who didn’t seem bothered by it . deep down ,Dallas  thanked Rachel silently

Some minutes later, the waiter brought back their menu and they dug in

A while after the dishes have been cleared away, Cyd stood up and told  Dallas to come with her, she collected a card from one of the employees who opened a door for them which led into a garden

Cyd sat on one of them and  invited Dallas to sit with her

“Wanna watch a movie on my tablet?” Cyd offered

“you really went out didn’t you?” Dallas said looking around the garden

“anything for my baby” Cyd replied with a smirk which meant that she was teasing Dallas who just sighed

“what an i***t, lets just listen to songs. We can share my air pods” Dallas suggested

“is that something couples do?” Cyd asked and seemed to ponder for a minute making Dallas chuckle

“you are hilarious, don’t over think and just have this” Dallas said and offered a smiling Cyd an air pod then Alec Benjamin blasted away

“okay then” Cyd replied

They sat in silence , enjoying the evening breeze and listening to Alec’s Swim until Cyd  spoke up

“so how was your day?” Cyd asked

“well, better than yours . I assume” Dallas replied

“why do you say that” Cyd replied with a slight chuckle

“you seemed tired” Dallas replied with a shrug

“yeah right” Cyd replied and went silent, Dallas felt like there was more to it but she didn’t think she was qualified to ask

“Your playlist is pretty cool” Cyd spoke up again

“well yeah, but don’t ask for it. I don’t share except with my roommate” Dallas stated with a chuckle

“Right.. your roommate” Cyd dragged out with a smile to herself but Dallas noticed and questioned

“What is with my roommate?” Dallas asked

“nothing, looked her up recently and found out she is Rachel, the best friend who slapped you in high school right?” Cyd asked with a slight smile

Dallas sighed and smiled at the memory

“yeah. You looked her up huh?” D

“well, I told you people, there are people who would..” Cyd was saying but got interrupted

“yeah that would do… blah blah blah i***t. By the way ,are you supposed to be spying on your girlfriend? Is that considered romantic?” Dallas asked while laughing

“Nah.. just wanted to” Cyd replied with a shrug

“you are honestly ridiculous sometimes” Dallas replied with a smile

“ridiculously hot, yeah I know” Cyd replied with a smirk and Dallas face palmed herself

“Grow up, Cyd” she said

Cyd just smiled and then asked

“what did you even do for her  to  slap you like that?”

“well, I was keeping something that she should know form here so..” Dallas replied frowning a bit at the memory and Cyd feeling like it wasn’t exactly something she wanted to remember quickly tried to ease her up

“well, she was pretty hot and I bet she still is now” Cyd suddenly pointed out

“she definitely is” Dallas replied without thinking

Cyd narrowed her eyes with a smirk

“should I be jealous? ” she asked causing Dallas to laugh

“shut up ,i***t. You think she is hot too right? ” Dallas asked

“that is definitely a fact I can’t deny” Cyd replied with a smile and then they both laughed

“How is Miranda? She been good? She is your best friend right?” Dallas asked

“was” Cyd corrected

Dallas frowned slightly “why ‘was’?”

“okay, so I saw it somewhere that all this dumbass relationships are not just about stupid love which doesn’t exist anyway but also bout trust which I kinda believe in so I think that means I gotta tell you stuff or you know, technically Miranda was not my best friend, I mean she was but she was, you know not just a best friend so well” Cyd was rambling and Dallas looked so confused that Cyd just blurted it out

“me and Miranda had a thing” she said

“what thing?” Dallas asked just to be sure that Cyd was not just saying she fooled around with her best friend

“if I were to classify it, its that Miranda is my ex”
