Lifestyle Gamers

28th December 1018 / 2018 1749hrs "Snowball, Crusader and ShadowDancer...What do we have here? We had first a handful of newcomers, and now we have a bunch of them like grapes. Are they intending to join our cause as adventurers or lifestyle gamers instead?" I inquired after I had ensured that my ID was masked. "Well, Captain, we have here a group of Lifestyle gamers which are also in our shoe kind of situation. In real life, these gamers would log in during their off-hours, which means when they had come back from school and work. These are considered as casual players, and I am sure we need casual gamers to help garner for us the kind of resources that we need, am I right?" "That's right, Captain. Unlike us, we are not considered as casual gamers as we are logged in as much as you do. And we were able to reap as many resources as we could for our cause." replied ShadowDancer. "Yes, with these casual workers, we would be able to expand our range of resources. What do you suggest them to do first, Captain? Mining, fishing, foraging for bugs and plants or harvesting fruits?" Crusader highlighted to me, but I have a better idea. An idea that had been emplaced for quite some time inside my head once we have established a guild. Something to do with armour and blacksmithing...!!! "Guys, segregate them into the respective Lifestyles that they wanted to be in. The rest of those who wanted to be adventurers would go to the next group that was handled by DragonFire, WarPriestess, MageHunter and PuppetMaster. Once the groups had assembled there, I would settle the matters with the casual workers that wanted to be Lifestyle gamers instead. This would prove to be better since they do not have to spend hours dungeon diving at one time and thus might disrupt their own routine." The trio nodded and ushered the adventurers over to the other 4 core members who were busy explaining about their adventures and how they got to where they are. Besides, the core members did not inform how they had gone through gruelling tasks of entering the greyed-out area of the map. I walked over to the casual gamers that wished to be lifestyle gamers, as they had nowhere to turned to for guidance and levelling up. I had Tinkerbell with me, and I made the casual Lifestyle gamers to sit close and surround us so we could address them. "Good evening, everyone. I am the Captain of this workshop called SilverBane, and we have yet to establish something bigger in the next few days. This simple plot of land would be our home very soon where the Lifestyle gamers would be able to gather and exchange tips, and so on. This is Tinkerbell, and she would be the overall in charge of all Lifestyle gamers at this moment. Furthermore, if she is not around, any of you would be able to approach me. Right, let me start with the basics............" I explained the basics, and then I made sure I had made the groups comprehend the Lifestyles that they would be involved in. On top of having those to concentrate on fishing, mining, bug and plant lore, harvesting fruits, cutting down lumber, I also had created some new Lifestyle gamers. They would be doing forging, smelting, drapery, leatherworks, gem crafting and concocting of fizzy drinks. The new Lifestyle gamers that I had created was their secondary professions. Since to perform forging, one has to perform mining before being able to acquire those pieces. For example, Coal and Tin make Copper, which was the mineral to forge copper ingots. Then it would be able to make small pieces of copper plates to repair Copper-based armours. To be able to make armours, one needs to upgrade to being an Armoursmith and armour is the most sought after item here in MMORPG - The Lord Of Red Dragon. Just like leatherworks, one has to do trappings to capture the animal and skin them. They can sell the meat for credits, and this would give the gamers at least +30 to +45 health points per consumption. The leather that they acquired could be turned into leather pieces through tanning and then being made into leather armour pieces. These lightly armoured leather would be most favoured by Rogues and Rangers. These lightly armoured pieces when mixed with bits of Copper would make it sturdier and be classified under Heavy Leather Armour. I spent almost 2 hours explaining the different types of Lifestyle gamers that they could choose from. After I had briefed the basics, the Lifestyle gamers had exchanged ID with Tinkerbell so that she would be able to know when the gamers go online. "Za, you really are knowledgeable in this game and able to advise the players whether they are adventurers or even lifestyle gamers. You are a great Leader and able to give the best pointers to everyone. So what I would need to monitor was their primary professions, just like me, am I right?" "Yes, Tinkerbell, that's the way it should be done. Level up the primary professions before the secondary professions becomes effective. It would take them some weeks to reach to where you are now since they are casual players. What we need is core lifestyle gamers like you who would be able to contribute the best to the Guild and its members. I would need to log off right after I had settled this and then I would come back on and then, there would be the procurement of the outer city limits commercial spaces. We can have two of those, and I was thinking of naming them as Twilight Trading. What do you think of that name?" "Actually, Za... I am not good at names and naming, but I guess Twilight Trading would be great sounding and auspicious. Furthermore, would you be having me there in the commercial space once I had successfully made the Major and Greater Mana and Health Potions?" I smiled at her since she had already guessed who would be managing the area. I knew that people would be streaming over to our commercial spaces to procure these much sought after items. The only potions that are available in the market right now are the Minor Mana, and Health Potions and an adventurer have to carry so many of those. One Minor Mana and Health potion would be able to replenish +2/seconds/10 seconds, and it would not be effective is it is a bleeding effect. The CD is the same at 6 seconds and these suited only for those low-level new adventurers. Since it has been only 3 days into this game, there would be more players coming in from local and overseas scenes, and it would flood the whole continents. Since this MMORPG is as big as the real world, it would be able to fit in the same number of inhabitants back on Earth or shall I say, in the real world instead. After I had settled most of the matters based on Lifestyle gamers and adventurers, I informed the core members that I would be logging off from The Lord of The Red Dragon. "Hey, Captain, can we have your contact number? We may even meet in the real-life after this if we log off from the game. Besides, we might be able to contact you in case of any emergencies." DragonFire was asking me since she got ready to key in my phone number inside her contact list that she could contact me in the real world. "Sure...sure... Only for the core members and not for the newcomers since we would not know how their dedication towards our Guild would be. Here you go, it is inside the communicator already. Add yours to mine so that I would be able to contact you as well." I keyed in my number and alerted the core members inside the communicator so everyone would have my personal contact number. When I entered the location details of where I generally live, to my surprise, every core members were staying close to me at most 2km in proximity. After tying up all the loose ends, I bade the core members goodbye and informed them that I would be online once again in about 3-4 hours. This would give my body ample time to stretch after I had been inside the gaming console for many hours and had missed several meals altogether. Even though there are meals in the taverns, but it is only virtual and could not replace the growling effect of my stomach back in the real world. I guessed there is a need for me to order some more S-Class nutrients as I felt a bit depleted. =*= "My Gosh...!!! My body is screaming for a stretch right now. My stomach needs real food...U U U R R R G G H H H...It is not 3 days since I am in this virtual world but 4 days, in fact since I started on Christmas Day...! Oh My God... My body is stiff despite the S-Class nutrients." I opened the lid of the gaming capsule, and it opened with a hiss...! I flipped out from my gaming capsule and discovered that I was still in my sports bra and boxers. The memory foam lining of the gaming capsule had taken an indentation of my whole body inside it, as it refused to spring back into its own shape...! I looked at the supply of my S-Class nutrients and discovered that the infusion packets had been depleted...! The first thing I did when I stepped out from my gaming capsule was to call the supplier to order 12 S-Class nutrients and 24 A-Class Nutrients to be delivered to my home. Express Delivery Required...!!!
