The Wintry Hills

27th December 1018 / 2018 0123hrs

After I had finished discussing with the rest of the new members of the workshop, I told them that I would like to be excused so that I would be able to show my face to my own family since I had gone without dinner and supper and it had been a long night for everyone.

"One more thing, if you do have the chance, it would be best to log off once you had rented a room for yourself. You would not want to log in and then discovered that your coveted armour or weapon had been taken away from you while you went offline."

"Also, there would be future patches and upgrades so you would not want to log in and respawn to someplace unfamiliar. It might be worse if you happen to respawn after a system upgrade and find yourself in the middle of a dungeon, A L O N E."

Everyone looked at me wide-eyed and heeded my advice. All 8 of us immediately went to the barkeep and booked 8 separate rooms for each one of us. We bade goodnight to one another and informed the rest that we would enter the MMORPG platform by 7am the next day.

We synchronised our watches and then entered our rooms and logged off.

The gaming capsule opened up, and I pushed it up as I removed the gauntlet on my arm. I swung my feet across the floor and checked the clock and date and found that I am still in 2018 and not the year of 2020 instead.

It was already past the hour, and I walked to the dining hall, and Nanay had prepared me my meals, and she knew I had not touched them since dinner time at 6pm earlier. I opened up the anti-pest cover and removed my plate that was placed on the self-heating pad that that powered by USB.

It was rice, and there were 2 kinds of vegetables and braised pork, which was my favourite. Nanay knows best, and the best thing to do now is to chow down and sleep with a full stomach. Right now, I had nothing else to do and would be removing my ankle and wrist weights or maybe add another set to both of them in two weeks.

After I had done eating, I cleaned up the table and then proceeded back to my room. Tonight I would be spending my time at my desk first since I need to write down some plannings and stick them to the wall to ensure that it is going to be my to-do-list.

I got to my study desk and began to work on my to-do-list. After some hours, at about 0415hrs, I had completed some skeletal framework on what I would be doing.

Everything is down to proper planning, and I am about to have the best planning that I could ever think of at the moment.

I had planned right from the structural organisation of a workshop and down to a Guild.

A formation of a dungeon raid was also being written by me, and a battle strategy plan was laid out as well.

Everything was comprehensive, and I made a mental photograph of whatever I had done on the study table.

Once I had done my homework, I plopped myself on the bed and went to bed before setting my alarm clock to ring 30mins before game time.

27th December 1018 / 2018 0705hrs

"Rise and shine, SilverBanes...!!! The worms are getting out of their holes early this morning, and we would be taking them out one at a time for our harvest...!" I hollered out as I banged on the door of the other 7 members who had taken their rooms to rest and log off. It was already 0705hrs, and I knew that the gamers had gotten up and ready to go for a day of adventuring together.

"Hello, Captain. We...Uhh...We're waiting for you downstairs. Haha...Sorry to make it sounds like a sore thumb, but yeah...We are all ahead of you, Leader. Hahaha...!" Snowball laughed as he walked up to the stairs to meet me halfway since I had received no response from any of the occupants. It was a surprise to me since I was the one who had them waiting for me instead.

I walked down with Snowball and found all everyone had already assembled and were having breakfast, including Tinkerbell. It seemed that she would be part of the assembly whenever there would be somethings to embark early in the morning.

"Good morning, everyone! It seems that everyone is here today. Good, let's have some break then we can discuss on the next order of things." I said as I placed my portal rune on the table.

I had bought another set of the portal gate and keys so that I would have both The Wintry Hills and The Billowing Slopes to teleport. I had now marked both portal keys, and it could be utilised by anyone from SilverBane workshop.

"Have you gotten your pickaxes yet? If not, please proceed to get them at the General Merchandise merchants. Once we had gotten the pickaxes, we can proceed to go to the perimeter of town so we could activate the portal key."

"Tinkerbell, you go on fishing until you had filled up all your slots. Then purchase a task helper so you would be able to load up to 5 tasks simultaneously. Right now, you can load 3 tasks at one time, right?"

Tinkerbell nodded her head as she made a mental note of it. Furthermore, she would not only be levelling up on her fishing, but she would be levelling up on her grilling as well.

Once she had levelled up to handle the codfish, she would be processing them to be mana and health potions accordingly. She would then be getting the required bugs, crawlies, and red apple juice to concoct the items according to the recipe that she had been given the night before.

Since everyone had gotten their pickaxes, we finished up our coffee in the virtual world, and then we headed out to our destination.

"We would be farming for resources today, Captain? How about grinding for monsters? Do you have any plans for it today?" Snowball came next to me and inquired on behalf of the whole group.

"Yes, today, we are farming for resources. The place that we would be heading is called The Wintry Hills. A Bronze Sabre Tooth Tiger is guarding the mountain tops.

Its aggro bubble is short so better not attract its aggro or else, it would wipe you out. It is a Level 50 Beast. What we need to do there is mining for resources such as masonry, ice crystals, semi-precious topaz and white zirconia and lastly, if you're lucky, you may get chipped gemstones like ruby, sapphire, emerald or diamonds. Inform everyone to set their harvest mode to auto-collect. Once we farm for at least 5 to 8 hours, we can move on to another location."

"5 to 8 hours? Seriously? Leader, you really are treating this MMORPG as part of your profession and gain wealth, right?" Snowball looked at me wide-eyed as the thought of farming for 5-8 hours solid and then to collect these resources which he had never seen before.

"Yup. 5-8 hours and then we take a short break and then move on to another location using the portal keys. Once we had completed one cycle, all the semi-precious stones that we get would be sold for your own personal gains. Give me the masonry, ice crystals and gemstones if you could find. I would store them for later use. We need more Lifestyle Gamers who would be doing enhancing and enchantment for us. Socket those gemstones or fuse them to become better ones."

I explained the fusing of the chipped gemstones to become poor quality ones. From those poor quality gemstones, they could fuse to become fair quality ones. But the fusing process would take a lot of time and effort so the ones who would be specialised in them would have to work on piles and piles of these chipped gemstones before they could get poor quality ones.

"What is the percentage that these chipped gemstones give?" Snowball inquired as he was curious to find out the range.

"Just 4.5%, depending on the gemstones. I think there should be a guide on the attributes of each stone. It is quite pathetic, don't you think so? So you need to have a lot of gemstones to fit into many sockets to be able to stack those attributes together."

"Yeah, I guess so. Alright, I know what to do later since I would be looking for more Lifestyle gamers to fill in the workshop. At least they would be able to assist us in one way or another."

I gave a thumbs-up to Snowball as we stepped into a portal once I had activated the one for The Wintry Hills.
