New Comrades In Arms?

30th December 1018/2018 1208hrs I had just entered the Armoursmith Zone and had approached one of the proprietors who were stationed at the front counter. There was no queue at this time, and I knew that I had made the right choice to acquire the Armoursmith Skills Book from the Auction Hall. "Good morrow, kind sir. I would like to book the Apprentice Armoursmith Room for 2 hours, would that be possible?" "Yes, of course, Baroness Za. Its 150 credits per hour and 2 hours would be 300 credits." "What kind of facilities do you have? Do you have the tools of the trade that I could borrow like a mould or something since I would be making some armour pieces for my members?" "Ah, since you had mentioned it, there's a wooden dummy if you are making a breastplate and also some moulds which you need if you are making leggings, boots, gauntlets, gloves, helm and so on. There are a few shield moulds if you need to see. We have the round buckler, the aspis, throwing shield, small shield, medium shield, large shield and lastly the tower shield. It's 150 credits per loan item and no time limit until you are done with your smithing. What shall it be, Baroness Za?" "I would like the mould for the tower shield, please. At least, it is more prominent if one can carry it around and parade for advertising." "Fine choice there, Baroness Za. The mould will be sent directly to the room. Here is the key to the Apprentice Armoursmith Room. Go on right ahead." I received the key, paid up the amount for the room rental and mould and then headed to the room at the furthest end. At least there would not be anyone who would be keeping the noses in other people's business, and I am already alone in this work zone. I entered the room, and the size was slightly smaller than the Apprentice Blacksmithing Room. There was a furnace with a bellow attached much like the one back at the Apprentice Blacksmith Room. Instead of a flatbed furnace, this is an open fire furnace, and there was a smelting pot within it. A 10 pounder hammer was there on the work table, and a piece of tong was visible, placed near the wall of the furnace. The mould for the kite shield had been readied on the work table, and all I would need to do is to read the Armoursmith Skill Book first. I had taken a lot of recipes from Tinkerbell, and even though there were duplicates, it could be given away to members who would be Armoursmith Lifestyle gamers. "Alright, I think I'd better take a few minutes to read this Armoursmith Skills Book and then open up some Luck and Success Rate scrolls to enhance the making of the shield that I have in mind. I guessed, if I am not mistaken, I would be able to get at least a 20% across the board." I thought to myself as I opened up the Armoursmith Skills Book and it became bound to my account. After bonding the Skills Book to my account, I discovered I had already 15% knowledge on it. Next, I opened up scrolls after another, and I subsequently increased the Luck and Success Rate as well as the Armousmith Skills. In 15 minutes, I was able to comprehend everything as the scrolls and recipes entered the system. *B A A M* I got 35% across the board for Armouthsmith Skills, Luck and Success Rate and this would be enough to forge at least 4 tower shields based on the number of ingots used. H O T . H O O T C H I E . M O M M A...!!! "Great...!!! Armoursmith Za is now going to smelt these copper ingots and then pump this bellows. Burn and smelt...!!!" I said aloud as I threw in 8 pieces of those ingots that weighed about a pound each into the smelting pot and I pumped the bellows to melt the copper ingots. "Oh My God...! This is harder work than it seems. These copper ingots would need to be heated up to at least 1000 degrees Celcius before the copper reaches its melting point at 1085 degrees Celcius exactly...!!!" My God...I need to dump this robe off or else I would be soaked wet like as if I am caught in the rain." I took off my robe and was in my sports bra and boxers once more. I pumped the bellows, and I could hear the gurgling sound of the copper ingots being melted inside the smelter pot. In 30 minutes, I was able to reach close to its melting point. I took the tong and got the mould ready on the work table. The smelter was being fished out from the furnace, and then I poured the contents into the mould slowly. *S P L U T T E R* *S P L U T T E R* *H H I I S S S S * Steam and smoke came out from the mould, and the contents gurgled inside it. The mould must be made from a material to be able to handle the heat of the molten contents...!!! There was an exhaust extractor fan just above the mould, and this helps to extract the heat away from it in an effective manner. According to my past experiences, one shield would be able to be formed inside the mould in 45-60 minutes under room temperature. Since the copper is still warm and pliable, I would need a small hammer to tinker away to form the edges and its overall shape. Right, at this rate, I would need to have 3 more moulds, and I have to ring the bell for such services. In which I did, and the 3 more moulds materialise before on the work table....! "Great...now what I need to do is to smelt these ingots first and then once it had reached the melting point, I would just pour them into the moulds. I better switch off the exhaust fan, so my first shield would be ready after I had replaced the molten contents inside the second or third mould." I repeated the whole process once more, and I had filled the third mould when I received a message from my communicator. "Hmm...? Some new free2play members are coming to join us after they had heard about us? Thrillseeker? I have never heard of a female MT with that kind of ID before. I wonder if its a trap or a genuine case of recruitment." "Well, let me answer this message, book the room for another few hours and then get back here once I had settled the meeting with the core members of the Guild. This looks interesting. This incident never occurred before, and I am not sure if it had any butterfly effect or not." I quickly replied the message in my communicator, finished up the melting of the copper ingots inside the smelter and then poured the molten contents inside the fourth mould. "All I need to do is to wait for it to be cooled, and then the system will notify me of its success rate. I hope that these 4 pieces of shields would have some significant values that would be envy for others. I would need to hit at least Expert Armoursmith before I would be able to forge powerful pieces of armour. Its something like making a cooled jelly and hoe this turns out well." I thought to myself as I remove the smelter pot that had the 8 ingots that were supposed to be smelted and moulded. "Alright, guys... Just let me cool off a while bit before I go and see who is Thrillseeker and her gang." I muttered and knew that something important was about to go down and I have to be there to witness it. Since the gamers had shown themselves to me, I think it would be great if I meet and greet them. That would be the least I could do, not based on personal but as a representative of Silent Knight Guild. I was walking out from the Crafter's Avenue, and about to reach our usual meeting point when I saw a big crowd congregating outside the Town's Portal. This can't be it, right? How come there was a whole group of gamers gathering there? Is there an affray or something but I don't see any commotions going on there but excited voices that seemed to buzz about? "Hey, guys. Wassap with all the commotion around here? Did someone open up a stall selling some kind of treasure chest or something? Hahaha...Its seems so rowdy and worse than a marketplace...!" I called out and greeted Dragonfire that stood close to Warpriestess as they watched the fiasco. "Hey, Captain Guild Leader...! Help us sort this matter straight first alright? It seems that someone was putting a price to be part of our Inner Circle. It is a so-called elite that made up of Level 15 adventurers. And the price to join the Inner Circle Elites would be 10,000 credits per person...! Thrillseeker started all this since she wanted to join our Guild badly. The proceeds would go into our resources, that's what she said...!" Being a Captain Guild Leader is one matter and having two lionesses on a mountain top would spell disparity and unrest and have to nip it at the bud. "Alright...Hang on there. I am the Captian Guild Leader here. Who's been looking for me?"
