"So, do you still think Essie is your mate?" Erik asks me as we take the elevator down to the cells.
"Yes I do," I say, smiling.
"And you haven't been to see her yet?" Erik asks, brow furrowing with disbelief.
"Haven't had the chance, and the safety of the pack is paramount. I'm going to see her after this though. I'll be changing when we get down to the dungeons. I don't want to go and see her with blood on me," I say with a wry smile.
"I can imagine that would be a mood killer, if you two are mates," David replied.
"Just a little bit. So how are we going to do this? Good Cop Bad Cop? Or just plain old fashioned torture?" I say.
