The explosion of the Second Valley was not instantaneous, but rapidly built up, too fast for anyone below the Third Cycle to react to. Even then, the span of time they had for action was insufficient to escape to the Void.
The four Fourth Cycles were beyond spent. The utilization of their power was not a simple expenditure of their Godly energy. It was the execution of their strongest combination of Law Source, a manifestation of power they had not yet learned how to control, that perhaps was not meant to be controlled in their current level of power. But, stuck in the forever bottleneck of the Fourth Cycle they had no other choice, only to cross their limit and bear the consequences.
