Leaving the First Valley, Zax avoided the spot where the space cracked. Those spots seemed safe, at least incapable of harming someone of his caliber, but since he had his epiphany, after witnessing his daughter's death, he felt more disconnected from the world. His senses could still capture the environment, but there was now something of an invisible barrier preventing an interaction with it. He could create changes on the environment, for good and for bad, but with his understanding of the impracticality of Cause a Change, there was no feel to it whatsoever.
