EXILED AWAY
Rain poured heavily from the dark sky as fierce winds swept through the forest.
Thunder roared relentlessly, shaking the small cabin where the Alpha's beloved Luna was giving birth.
"Is the Moon Goddess angry with us?" one of the midwives whispered, her trembling hands covered in blood. "She's losing too much blood... At this rate, the Luna won't survive."
"No... wait!" another midwife suddenly shouted. "A miracle! The baby is coming!"
A loud cry echoed through the cabin.
"It's a boy, my Luna..." the elderly omega midwife said with tears of joy.
The Luna smiled weakly despite the pain. She looked at the tiny baby in her arms, gently touching his little face.
"Eridms..." she whispered. "My beautiful son..."
Suddenly—
The cabin door flew open.
Several men dressed in black rushed inside.
The wolf guards outside had already been slaughtered, their blood staining the ground.
The joy inside the cabin instantly turned into fear.
"Where is the wolf child?" the leader of the assassins asked coldly.
"You can't do this!" the head midwife shouted as she stood in front of the newborn. "She is the Alpha's Luna! This is forbidden!"
Before she could finish speaking...
Slash!
A sword ripped across her chest.
She collapsed to the floor.
The other midwives screamed.
"No!" the Luna cried weakly.
Ignoring the unbearable pain from childbirth, she forced herself to her feet and wrapped both arms around her baby.
"Please..." tears streamed down her face. "He's just a baby... Please don't hurt him..."
The assassins showed no mercy.
One of them thrust his sword forward.
The blade pierced the Luna's chest.
Blood spilled onto the baby wrapped in red cloth.
The Luna gasped.
Her body slowly gave way as she fell to the floor, still trying to shield her son.
"I can sense the Alpha!" one assassin shouted.
"He's coming! Move!"
Within seconds, they disappeared into the storm.
Moments later, the Alpha burst into the cabin.
His eyes searched desperately until they landed on his Luna lying in a pool of blood.
Everything around him went silent.
"No..."
He stumbled forward before collapsing to his knees.
He lifted her trembling body into his arms.
"No... no... please..."
He gently shook her.
"Open your eyes..."
His voice cracked.
"You promised we'd raise our son together... You promised you wouldn't leave me..."
No answer came.
Only the sound of the rain.
The Alpha let out a heart-wrenching cry that echoed through the forest.
"I caused this!" he screamed.
"I should never have married you! If you had never met me... you would still be alive! I failed you... I failed to protect you..."
"My Alpha..." Stephan, the Beta, said softly, trying to hold back his own tears. "The baby... he's alive. He's healthy."
The Alpha looked at the newborn.
Instead of joy...
There was only pain.
Every time he looked at the child, he saw the woman he had just lost.
"Find them!" he roared.
"I don't care where they hide! Search every corner of every Great Pack! Bring me the monsters who did this!"
Stephan stepped closer.
"My Alpha... we don't have much time. If they return, they'll kill the prince too. We have to move him now."
One of the surviving midwives wiped away her tears.
"Before the Luna died... she named him Eridms."
The Alpha closed his eyes.
Tears rolled silently down his face.
"Jole."
A young warrior stepped forward immediately.
"Yes, my Alpha."
The Alpha stared at his son for a long moment before speaking.
"Take him far away from here."
Jole hesitated.
"My Alpha..."
"They're after him." His voice was barely above a whisper. "If he stays... he'll die too."
Jole carefully wrapped the baby in a soft red blanket.
"How long should I keep him hidden?"
The Alpha looked at his son's innocent face.
His heart shattered.
"...Until he reaches the Age of Luna."
Jole lowered his head.
"As you command, my Alpha."
Without another word, he carried the sleeping child into the storm.
The Alpha remained beside his Luna, holding her lifeless body.
He didn't know it yet...
The son he had sent away to protect would one day return, believing his own father had abandoned him.
......
Jole's POV
I urged my horse forward, riding as fast as I could through the storm.
I didn't even know where I was going anymore.
No...
I had to reach the Silvermist Pack.
It was the only place I could think of where the prince might be safe.
I had already crossed the Moonfang border.
The journey had only just begun.
I looked down at the sleeping baby in my arms.
The Third Luna was dead.
I still couldn't believe it.
She had suffered all her life, yet the one time she found happiness, it was taken away from her.
Is it really a crime to be loved by the Alpha?
A sudden chill ran down my spine.
I pulled on the reins, stopping the horse.
Someone was here.
No...
Several people.
I slowly looked around.
My heart nearly stopped.
"Shadow Wolves..." I whispered.
The same assassins.
The ones who murdered the Third Luna.
One of them stepped forward and removed his bamboo hat.
"Don't make this difficult," he said calmly. "Hand over the child, and you can walk away alive."
My wolf trembled inside me.
"Jole... we can't defeat them."
A bitter smile appeared on my face.
"Then we'll die protecting him."
I tightened my grip around the baby.
The assassins began walking toward me.
One...
Two...
Three...
I closed my eyes.
If death was the price for protecting the Alpha Prince...
Then so be it.
Suddenly—
Whoosh!
An arrow shot past my face.
Then another.
And another.
The Shadow Wolves immediately scattered into the forest.
I slowly opened my eyes.
Standing before me were warriors dressed in white fur armor.
My eyes widened.
The Frostclaw Pack.
At their front stood a tall man with icy blue eyes.
The Frostclaw Alpha.
I quickly climbed off my horse and bowed.
Why are they here?
...No.
I froze.
I had unknowingly crossed into Frostclaw territory.
"What is a Moonfang warrior doing on my land?" the Frostclaw Alpha asked coldly.
"The Alpha sent me..." I began.
Before I could finish—
A hand wrapped around my throat.
Everything happened so fast that I couldn't even react.
I was lifted off the ground.
The Alpha's speed...
It was terrifying.
"You lie," he said.
"There is a baby with you."
He threw me onto the ground.
I coughed violently before kneeling.
"Forgive me, Alpha!" I shouted. "He is the Moonfang Alpha Prince. My Alpha ordered me to take him safely to the Silvermist Pack."
A slow smile appeared on the Frostclaw Alpha's face.
"So..."
"The heavens have finally given me an opportunity."
He looked at his warriors.
"Take the child."
"Find a woman to nurse him."
"Send a message to Moonfang."
"If their Alpha wants his son alive..."
"He will come to me."
His warriors immediately surrounded me.
.....
Alpha Karen's POV
I sank to my knees.
The room felt empty.
Too empty.
Castie...
The woman who had filled this palace with laughter was gone.
I covered my face as tears slipped through my fingers.
"I couldn't protect you..."
My voice trembled.
"I failed as your husband."
My chest tightened.
"And now..."
"I've sent our son away."
Every part of me wanted to chase after Jole, to hold my son just once, to tell him none of this was his fault.
But I couldn't.
If Eridms remained in Moonfang...
He would die.
"No..." I whispered to myself.
"He has to live."
"Even if he grows up hating me..."
"As long as he lives..."
"I can bear it."
A sudden knock shattered the silence.
Only one person would enter my chambers without permission.
"Enter."
The door opened.
Stephan, my Beta, stepped inside and bowed.
"Greetings, my Alpha."
I looked at him.
His face had turned pale.
Something was wrong.
"What happened?"
"My Alpha..." he said, struggling to speak.
"The Frostclaw Pack has the prince."
For a moment...
My heart stopped.
"What did you say?"
"They've sent word."
"They want to negotiate."
I clenched my fists.
Frostclaw.
Neither friend...
Nor enemy.
If they truly had Eridms...
Then every second mattered.
Without another word, I grabbed my sword and threw on my robe.
"I'm leaving."
As I stepped outside my chambers, someone blocked my path.
The First Luna.
"My Alpha," she said. "You can't go. What if it's a trap?"
I slowly turned toward her.
For a long moment...
I simply stared.
Then my eyes hardened.
"Don't test my patience."
She froze.
"I already lost the woman I loved today."
My voice became dangerously quiet.
"If anything happens to my son..."
"I won't care who stands before me."
"Move."
She stepped aside without another word.

Frostclaw Pack
The journey had been swift.
I brought only Stephan and two Fang Guards.
The Frostclaw Alpha sat upon his stone seat, his icy blue eyes studying me.
"You arrived faster than I expected," he said.
"I had no choice."
"My son is here."
The Frostclaw Alpha leaned back.
"We have never been close allies."
"But neither have we been enemies."
"The Bloodfang Pack grows stronger every year."
"If they conquer us..."
"Moonfang will be next."
He folded his hands.
"So..."
"Let us make a deal."
"What deal?" I asked.
He looked toward another room.
"The child."
"You sent him away because someone wants him dead."
"I can protect him."
"My mountains are the safest place in the Great Packs."
"When he reaches the Age of Luna..."
"I'll return him to you."
Stephan immediately stepped forward.
"My Alpha, don't do this."
"This could be a trap."
The Frostclaw Alpha smiled but said nothing.
"What do you want in return?" I asked.
"A promise."
"If Frostclaw is ever threatened..."
"Moonfang will stand beside us."
Silence filled the room.
Stephan looked at me in disbelief.
"My Alpha..."
"If we agree, we'll owe them."
I closed my eyes.
Castie...
Forgive me.
I have nothing left...
Except our son.
I opened my eyes.
"...It's a deal."
Stephan lowered his head in frustration.
The Frostclaw Alpha stood and extended his hand.
I accepted it.
Before turning to leave, I stopped.
"There is one more thing."
The Frostclaw Alpha looked at me.
"When Eridms is old enough to understand..."
"Tell him..."
My voice broke.
"Tell him his father never abandoned him."
"I sent him away because I loved him more than my own life."
"If one day..."
"He chooses to hate me..."
"I'll accept it."
"But promise me..."
"You'll let him know..."
"I never stopped loving him."
The Frostclaw Alpha remained silent for a moment.
Then he nodded.
"I give you my word."
I bowed my head.
Not as a king.
Not as an Alpha.
But as a father...
