The village of Ashvale had always been peaceful. Surrounded by towering mountains and dense forests, it was a place where people lived simple lives, far away from the wars and conflicts of the outside world. For eighteen years, Kai believed he was just another ordinary villager. He couldn't have been more wrong. One evening, as the sun disappeared behind the mountains, Kai ventured into the forest to gather herbs for his grandmother. The air felt unusually cold, and every bird had fallen silent. A sudden gust of wind swept through the trees. Then he heard it. A whisper. "Kai..." He spun around, but no one was there. His heartbeat quickened as he followed the mysterious voice deeper into the forest. Soon, he reached an ancient stone shrine covered in vines. In the center rested a glowing crystal sword that looked untouched by time. The moment Kai wrapped his hand around the hilt, a blinding flash of blue light exploded into the sky. Pain shot through his body. Visions flooded his mind. He saw kingdoms burning, dragons soaring through crimson skies, armies clashing on blood-soaked battlefields, and a shadow-covered king seated upon a black throne. Then a powerful voice echoed inside his head. "The heir has awakened." Far away, inside a dark fortress, a hooded man slowly opened his eyes. "So... after all these years," he murmured. "The child of prophecy is alive." He stood and smiled. "Prepare the Shadow Legion. Bring him to me... alive." Back in the forest, Kai collapsed to his knees, breathing heavily. Strange glowing symbols appeared across his right arm before fading into his skin. He stared in disbelief. "What... is happening to me?" Before he could move, the sound of footsteps echoed through the trees. Dark figures surrounded him from every direction. "There he is," one of them said. Kai backed away, but there was nowhere left to run. His ordinary life had ended. The battle for destiny had begun.
