25. Last Strand
The following day, Nolan was taking a flight early afternoon. He was evaluating some sites for a potential business project he planned and, as such, hadn't confided in Eleina about it yet. He left her sleeping, knowing the night before exhausted her. He took over the task of driving Nicky for football.
“ Hey, man. You scared me for a minute. Good morning!” he greeted Kenneth at the door with his finger almost on the doorbell. ”I wanted to hear everything about last night. How did it go?”
“ Great, we had very positive feedback. I have to rush for football practice now. Do you want to get comfortable? Eleina is still asleep, though.” Nicky was pulling Nolan’s hand to get going. He didn’t want to risk arriving late for training.
