~ Hayden’s POV ~
“Athena, my little mate”, I mumbled to myself while I gazed outside the window of the car. I should have stayed with her. This was supposed to be our wedding night and yet I am sitting inside the car with my Beta, who is continuously telling me that I should keep a check on the elders as they won’t accept Athena as the new Alpha.
Well, it’s not the same day as the sun is going to rise in a few minutes and the darkness will be engulfed by the light of the new day. Just like Athena is extinguishing the darkness inside me.
Some elders of the stronger packs might raise their voices as women leading a pack that’s something new for those old bastards.
