Blair, Holden, Kyle, and Dylan are the founding members of the video game club at their high school. From freshman year til now it’s only been them. But now, a new girl just moved to town, one that seems to have our crew a little more than distracted. What will happen when she becomes a little too friendly with one of the boys? Or when she starts becoming a little too much like her character in the game? The boys must strive to get to the bottom of this girls strange behavior before the club gets disbanded for good.

Chapter 1
“Guy’s let’s go, if we keep showing up late Mr. Harris is going to give the computer lab to the history club.” I say as I continue pushing through the lunch line. If you’ve ever been in high school before, then you know that the lunch line is pretty much a battlefield and anyone can and will be used as a battering ram if needed. Holden and Kyle are behind me in line, they haven’t stopped arguing about the new mechanics of our game since they were released in the last update.  “They already had a speed walking ability, why they felt they needed to add another one is beyond me…''Holden Says as he grabs an apple off the counter and places it on his tray. “Besides, if you actually look into it, the new one is actually worse than the original mechanic and it's more expensive.” He continues moving down the line behind me. I shake my head and lift up my tray so the lunch lady can put the scoop of mashed potatoes that she has held out onto it. It makes a wet shlopping noise as it hits my tray. I hold back a gag and smile at the nice lady, ignoring the oozing liquid coming out of my potatoes. “But they let you customize the shoes however you want if you purchase the new one!” Kyle retorts, wrinkling his nose at the same goopy potatoes I let the lady place on my tray before shaking his head in utter disapproval and moving down the line. “I think it’s well worth it, maybe not in the sense of what’s going to help us win, but at least as a little show off to the ladies” He continues, wiggling his eyebrows and sticking out his tongue, wagging it up and down in a s****l fashion.  “What ladies?” I say in retort. “Yeah man, you holding out on us?” Holden chimes in. “Nah man, the only lady in his life is his momma and you know I’ve already been all over that.” I say with a laugh. “Take it back Blair,” Kyle says, reaching around Holden to shove my shoulder. This causes me to fall off balance and I side step to try and regain it, but not before bumping into the girl standing beside me. She instantly whips around to glare at me, I’d know that icy blue  gaze anywhere. It was Hailey, the most popular and gorgeous girl in the entire world, she’s also been my crush since before I could talk. Growing up in a small town you don’t meet very many new people to compare with, not that I’d need to, I’m pretty sure she’s the only girl for me. Her long, wavy golden locks softly placed onto her shoulders. Her rosy complexion colors her skin which, while I’ve never touched it personally, I’m sure would feel as soft as butterfly wings. Today she’s dressed in a white little sundress which accentuates her curves perfectly.  “Umm Hello?” She says, “ aren’t you going to apologize or something?” She waves her hand in front of my face, trying to get some reaction from me in my dazed state. All I can do is stare in shock, I think this is the first time she's ever talked to me.  “I’m sorry” I finally breathe out, the words that had escaped me now returning all at once. “Whatever” She scoffs, looking me up and down before turning back around to her posse of friends. “Some People are just so rude, who even is that kid anyways” she whispers to her friends who in turn shake their head. I’m not surprised in the least that she hasn’t ever noticed me before.  “Dude, that was intense,” Holden says, slapping my shoulder and giving it a shake. “I’ve never met someone who can take 5 seconds and turn it into 5 hours with just a glare before.”  “Yea dude, that chick is crazy scary, I don’t see what you see in her.” Kyle chimes in.  “She’s like crazy hot man, how can you not see that?” Holden replies, giving Kyle a quizzical look. “I don’t know, I guess she's just not my type.” Kyle says. “Guys, just drop it, we really got to get to the computer lab. I wasn’t kidding when I said that about Mr. Harris.” I say leaving the lunch line after paying for my meal and making my way out the two double doors at the other end of the cafeteria.  The computer lab is near the front of the school, actually it’s right past the entrance to be more precise. The two knuckleheads and I have met every day since the beginning of freshman year to play whatever new game we’re really into at the time. It started out with board games, before quickly evolving into online games as well. It started out as just a way to blow off steam after having a particularly bad day, however after some time and help from Mr. H we were able to get the school board to recognize it as a club. We even get a limited amount of funding every year, which we use to keep as up to date as possible on the new technology, games, and upgrades.  Since the start of the club, we’ve only had one other person join. His name is Dylan, he’s one of the more popular kids, not someone we would normally be seen with, so you can imagine our hesitation to allow him to join. But after some slight negotiation, we agreed he could be a part of the club if he invited us to at least one cool party a year. That was around the start of sophomore year, and despite the party thing Dylan actually turned out to be a pretty decent guy, he knew his way around a computer that's for sure.  It’s now our senior year of high school, only seven months to go before we’re graduated and out of this small Podunk town. I applied to my dream school, FSU, at the start of the year and am anxiously awaiting a response letter. I’m not expecting much out of the school year. I just need to keep my head down, my grades up, and my ass out of trouble. My mom already has enough reservations of her own about allowing me to move out of state to go to a college she’s never even heard of before. If anything goes even a little wrong this year, I know that's all the push she’ll need to keep me from going at all.  “Alright boys, what’ll it be today?” Kyle asks, “I’ve got five that says Dylan and I are gonna kick both yours and Holden's butt today.” He states smugly whilst tossing a five dollar bill onto the center of the table before leaning back and folding his hands behind his head. It became a custom for us to place bets at the start of every match on who was going to win.  “I’ll take that bet,” I state, tossing my own five onto the table. “I’ve shown you guys up before, I have no problem doing it again” I retorted in a similarly smug fashion as Kyle. Dylan and Holden both toss their money into the pile as well, stating that they too will be in on the bet.  We then power on our individual computers, slide on our headsets, and enter into the game. If you’ve ever had a gamer friend then you know we have the ability to really amp up how exciting it is playing any game. However, looking in from the outside, I’m sure it’d be really boring. Four guys staring silently at computer screens, the only noise  coming from the clicking of a mouse, and the periodic cuss battle that's spurred from an “unfair” play. But, it’s what gets us through the days, and with so few left in this school, I don’t mind spending them this way.  After lunch I just have three classes left, Pre-Cal, Physics, and… P.E....God I hate P.E. It’s like some deity of some kind came out of the depths of hell and created this death of a class just to torture me. I guess it’s better than being in athletics, and sometimes if we’re lucky, the girls teams come out to practice. Hailey’s gorgeous on her own, but watching her run around in those short little shorts and her sports bra. It has to be the hottest thing I’ve ever seen. Today just so happens to be one of those good days, I watch as Hailey prances across the football field. Her long tan legs allow her to glide across with ease to where her friends are huddled up doing their stretches. “Hey Blair!” I hear Holden yell out to me, and I swiftly turn towards the sound of his voice. “You have a little drool there man” he says pointing to his lip and then laughing. I blush knowing I was just caught staring at the girls. “Oh yeah? Like you’ve never looked before?” I yell back. Trying to get some of the attention off me, and onto him. This just causes him to shake his head and laugh.  “Nice try man, but we all know Hailey’s your girl, I’d never do that to you.” He says, before bursting out laughing along with the other guys. It’s nice to know the news of my crush is spreading throughout the school. “Don’t look so glum Blair, it was just a joke.” Holden states, running over to me from where he was on the field. He claps my back and slings his arm over my shoulder, turning me to face the girls again. “I can see it now, you whisking Hailey off her feet and into the sunset. She just has to lose all her standards for men and have a serious brain injury before it’ll happen, but I have faith in you.” He continues. I shove him off me and onto the ground. “At least there’s still hope for me,” I say, “There isn’t a single girl alive that would go for you.” I laugh out. “Yeah right,” he says, getting off the ground and tackling me onto my back, “you’re going to pay for that!” He yells during his attack. We begin wrestling along the ground, pinching and pulling at whatever we can get our hands on as we roll across the field. “That’s enough!” A strong loud voice pierces through our grunts, halting us in our tracks. “You boys get up right now!” The voice says again, we stand quickly and look up to see coach Malloy staring daggers into our heads. “Just what do you two think you’re doing?” He asks, his tone could kill even the bravest and strongest warriors. “Ruining my practice?” Coach Malloy is the football coach, he helps with the other sports as well, but football is his real baby. “You boys better have one hell of an explanation for roughhousing on school property, as well as disturbing my teams valuable practice time.”, “We only have three more days till the biggest game of the season, and instead of finding dates to the dance after, you're rolling around with each other on my field.” He continues yelling, his loud voice bearing down into us. I had honestly forgotten about the homecoming game and the dance too for that matter. I had never been to a single one before so I figured I wouldn't be going this year either. “We’re sorry sir, it won’t happen again sir.” Holden says, his voice shaky and out of breath from the prematurely ended roll around.  “Yes what he said sir, we didn’t mean too.” I chime in, ready to be rid of Malloy and his insistent yelling. “Good to hear y’all know when to admit you’re in the wrong,” he huffs back at us, the red in his face slowly falling off. “Now to prove a point and keep you boys out of my way for the rest of my practice, go run ten laps around the field.” I groan inwardly, running even one lap around this field would be hell for me. Ten is gonna be nearly impossible, but Holden and I jog towards the track anyways, not wanting to be the center of Coach Malloy’s wrath any longer. As I’m making my laps I glance towards the girl’s who are now doing passing drills for their upcoming volleyball game. I watch as Hailey’s perfect body jumps and arches through the air before spiking the ball down to the ground. I watch as her feet hit the ground and it seems to cause a ripple effect, making her ass and breasts jiggle in an almost perfect succession. I try not to think of myself as much of a perv like some of the other guys I know, but something about Hailey just gets me going in all the right places.  After school I head home. I don’t live far away, maybe a block or two at most, so I started walking back and forth around seventh or eighth grade. Both of my parents are teachers at the school, So when my sister and I were little they were able to just drop us off and take us home before and after school with ease. Somewhere along the way it became uncool to have your parents drive you around, so I began walking. I'm hoping to get a car after graduation. I've been saving up all the money I make at my job to pay the down payment on some sort of vehicle. My parents being teachers never had a lot of money to spend on lush items like extra cars and the sorts, I’m even having to pay for school by myself. Don’t get me wrong my sister and I never wanted for anything, we had all we could ever need and a good amount of things that we wanted as well, just not any big ticket items.
